More about Axem Black...
Games: Super Mario RPG
 
One of the Axem Rangers, a metallic band of axe-wielders in Smithy's Gang that turned up to steal the sixth Star at the last second.  They then raced out of the volcano and tried to escape on their ship, The Blade, but had to wait for it to arrive and ended up having to face Mario in battle.

Axem Black is supposed to be the cool, sunglasses-wearing tough guy of the group.  He stands out from the rest by being able to attack twice per turn, and may do so by throwing little bombs.  But he may be the least extreme of the group and I recommend that he be taken out third: after healer Pink and status effect causer Green, both of whom are less sturdy before him; but probably before Yellow, the strongest and most sturdy, and Red, who just isn't particularly dangerous.  Still, for keeping a cool head around the rest of the Rangers, he probably deserves recognition.
