Ok, so let's take a look at Bob-omb.  He-

*BOOM!!*

Er, next one, please.  Right, so Bob-omb is-

*BOOM!!*

Argh!  Ok, I guess we'll have to do this without a test subject.

Bob-omb is a walking bomb that tends to explode on its own or briefly after being disturbed, usually destroying itself but also hopefully its enemies in the process.  While it is known that some Bob-ombs can somehow explode and then flutter down from the sky to no harm to themselves, most finish themselves off in the explosions.  Bob-omb first appeared in Mario 2 but became the first of the few characters from that game to make the leap into other games when he returned for Mario 3.  Now he's one of the most common Mario enemies throughout the series, a factor over which he is literally bursting with pride.  The standard Bob-omb is pretty dangerous in its own right but it also has a known leader, Big Bob-omb.  Mario partners Bombette and Bobbery are also famous Bob-ombs.

Bob-omb managed to keep himself intact long enough to make it into Round Three of Season Three in Roy's Sports Hall, but his explosive personality wasn't enough to defeat Kamek.  Despite being edged out of a spot in the Season Ten Tournament due to a low Strength of Schedule, Bob-omb exploded back onto the scene to defeat Wind Crystal, Wart, and Cackletta in the wildcard round to earn a spot as one of the 64 fighters in the main tournament.  Then in a stunning upset, Bob-omb outdueled the latest Season Champion, defeating Waluigi in the first round and raising many eyebrows in the process.  Though it remains to be seen how far Bob-omb can really take this, he may have a good shot to make it through the second round, where he'll take on midling fighter Robo-Chomp.
