When you're as awesome (and egotistical) as Bowser
Koopa, it's only natural that you're going to have statues built in your
honor. Lots of them. Bowser statues of different varieties
have appeared in many games, the first of them being Mario 3, where they
appeared in Bowser's castle and some would shoot lasers as Mario passed
specific points. But when talking about Bowser statues as enemies,
usually it's Mario World that comes to mind. Not only were there
immobile Bowser statues that appeared in some of the castles and would
shoot fireballs, but there also were Bowser statues that could jump left
and right while still shooting. These statues were immune to all
normal attacks and I'm not even sure if you could destroy them while invincible.
Too bad Bowser himself isn't indestructible! I think these are the
only appearances of the Bowser statues in the traditional platformers,
but they have also appeared in spinoff games; the most memorable to me
is the giant Bowser statue in Mario Kart Wii that breathes fireballs over
a section of the track.
