Games: Super Mario Galaxy 2
 
Gobblegut is a rather intimidating dragon under the employ of Bowser Junior in Galaxy 2 to guard the first Grand Star.  The fight is pretty intense and I found it confusing at first, but it mainly consists of Gobblegut flying around the planet, trying to chomp on Mario, and occassioonally burrowing through the planet.  This is the chance for Mario to attack, as Gobblegut's weak points, the bulges along his body, will come into range, and Mario can spin into them to pop them and cause damage.  After three hits Gobblegut will ratchet it up a notch, but he's not too hard once you figured out what to do in the first place, even with the epic music playing.  Gobblegut is also the target of a speedrun that is somewhat difficult if only because you have limited opportunities to damage him and if you waste many you'll run out of time.  A harder variation of Gobblegut also appears later; he has the same attack pattern but there are fiery craters on the planet that Mario must avoid at the same time.
