More about Hermie III...

Hermie III is a crabby crab found on Gwarhar Lagoon in Superstar Saga.  Actually, he isn't crabby at all at first.  He is delighted to allow his shell to be decorated by the, uh, rhino girls?  And he looks like he'd be the life of the party come Christmastime.  But when Mario and Luigi try to take the piece of the Beanstar that has come to adorn the top of its shell, well, he isn't too pleased.  In battle his claws do much of the talking for him and are targets on their own that the Brothers can knock out.  Hermie may try to hide in his shell but is vulnerable to fire, if only because some of the ornaments on his shell are flammable.  When he is defeated he finally will, resentfully, give up the Beanstar piece.  I'm told that there is another star-type thing you can find and give to him in exchange for some gear, but I've never come across it myself.

I don't know why Hermie is the third.  I consider suffixes like that to refer to nobility, and Hermie doesn't seem to qualify.  Maybe it's just his lisp, though.
