It's about time that Lakitu, one of the most well known Mario enemies as well as one of the most dangerous from the platforming genre, had a boss form.  The only problem is, the regular Lakitus that pursue you through levels might be more dangerous than this guy.  Lakithunder, the boss of the mountainous world six in NSMB, throws Spinies like any other Lakitu, and casts bolts of lightning from his stormy cloud.  Then he swoops down and is vulnerable to attack!  Why, Lakithunder, why?  No other Lakitu does this, and for good reason!  Well, at least he managed not to give Lakitus too bad a name; another Lakitu boss would appear in Mario Galaxy 2.
