More about Podoboo...

The only member of the original Koopa Troop not to appear in the Sports Hall as far as I know, Podoboo is that guy always lurking around by himself who you never notice until you bump into him.  Then it hurts because he's MADE OF FIRE!  Podoboo has been around since SMB and has appeared in all the platformers other than Mario 2.  Castles are an important part of the Mario games and Podoboo is iconic of them as it jumps endlessly in and out of the lava pits; and yet, hardly anyone seems to remember its name.  Even Nintendo!  In a lot of the RPGs and some of the Mario Parties, he's called Lava Bubble or some other such thing.  I don't know why, it seems to be the same guy.  And I'd still call it Podoboo even if it's blue in some of those games.  Maybe Nintendo's trying to change the name so as to avoid confusion with a certain ghost.

Though, apparently not all small, roundish fiery things should be called a Podoboo.  An enemy of this sort also appeared in Donkey Kong and I'd just as soon say it's the same enemy but I'm told it's not.  Go figure.
