L: Anti Guy (8-4)
I just realized that every Sports Hall
season finale since Season Three has included at least one competitor who
is not often seen for what he is, either because he’s a shapeshifter or
because he’s known for being sneaky. Apparently this has been an
effective strategy for not getting beaten. Spy Guy, as you could
probably tell, falls into the second of these groups. Supposedly,
at least. I’m not sure how effective his grassy camouflage was in
Shy Guy’s Toybox, though he has a decent slingshot attack and can use a
hammer to temporarily prevent his enemies from using abilities. I
don’t know how strong he is but he’s at least unusually annoying!
I wouldn’t have thought you could really annoy someone to death, but I guess that’s what Spy Guy must have done in the Sports Hall, or something. Without any expectations sitting on him, he just up and won all his battles and coolly made it into the finale in Season Eight, with a shot to become just the second non-boss enemy to win a season title. But like many others, he couldn’t defeat Anti Guy. Even so, his record is so strong that he has the highest rank of any character not to have won the finals, and he edged out Larry, a season winner. As Seed 9, he is back for the Season Ten Tournament. Although his first round was much closer than he must have liked, he nevertheless hung on to defeat Goonie. His next opponent is Midbus.
