Thwimp is a miniature Thwomp from Super Mario World.  Despite being smaller, I think he's actually more dangerous.  Unlike the typical Thwomp that crashes straight up and down on cue, Thwimp bounces side-to-side in an arc.  Mind you, this is all still very regular and typically easy to negotiate, but I do think it's harder and Thwimp ought to appear more often alongside his larger and more famous cousin.

Neither Thwimp nor Thwomp has appeared much in Roy's Sports Hall, but Thwimp has the upper hand after having won three matches in Season One.  The rules at the time - and some help from Pidgit - kept him from making the leap into Round Three, but at 3-1 he managed to hang on to a decent ranking and qualify for the Season Ten Tournament, seeded 44.  It didn't matter as he was quickly ousted from the tourney by Ludwig.  Will we see him in the Sports Hall again?  Probably not!
