Games: Yoshi's Island
 
There are two versions of this Shy Guy relative.  The first, pictured above, carries a spear and some kind of shield.  He's dangerous to jump on because of the spear, and he'll block eggs and tongue attacks fired from in front of him.  But he can easily be pelted or eaten from behind.  The other variety is an odd, chanting foe that dances around in a lunging manner.  While it still carries a spear it has no shield and is more vulnerable, but its movements are more erratic.
