Whomp King may look mean, but he may actually be a big softie who only wants to stop Mario from picking on Whomp-kind.  This king may be bigger than the rest of his kind but is known to attack in largely the same way - falling flat on this face - and also has the same weakness - having his back groundpounded, though it takes three hits to defeat him.  In Galaxy 2 his stomps shook the ground, stunning Mario, and he could summon tiny Whomps to run about before being destroyed by their own king.  In the end, he crumbled to dust just the same.

He was defeated by Ludwig in Season Eight of the Sports Hall.
