It seemed Larry had not been out of the cradle long before Clawdia announced that another child was on the way. The eighth child. Ludwig moaned and stated that he was not pleased by this, Lemmy seemed to shrug it off, Roy grunted in response, Iggy seemed indifferent, Larry was upset, and Morton chided on about it, but Wendy was the most excited of all. Perhaps it was because of the idea of the new Koopaling being a girl for her to share make up tips with.
From the day she was born, Marisela was a quiet child. She seemed to not be concerned with anything. Wendy was pleased with the blue haired girl child.
As she grew, Marisela came to be fond of the sea and often would be found there by her sister. Her curly locks would be blowing in the salty sea air and she would fall deadly silent for so long that she seemed to not even be there. Her brothers, contrary to what most had thought, loved her to death, yet she seemed to be troubled by everything they gave her. She had been offered many pieces of land. Yet she only longed for one, one Bowser could not give her. A small island, close to the shores yet out in the sea. It was beautiful beyond comparison and surrounded by that which she loved so. It was also Princess Toadstool's vacationing spot, and so Marisela became more and more distant from her family, slipping farther and farther into silence.
"Marisela?" Wendy put a hand on her younger sister's shoulder
"Wendy... I can't go back to the Keep," Marisela spoke up finally, "My heart belongs to the sea... Without it, I'll never be whole"
"No... Marisela... Please... I hoped and longed for a sister for so very long... Then you came to me... I had to wait for a third child... Please... Don't make me wait again."
"I'm sorry Wendy... The sea and I are one. We will meet again, Sister. We will swim in the waters together. Until then... goodbye." A tear streamed down Marisela's face just before she dove into the salty waters of the sea.
Wendy never saw her again.
