Larry Koopa went into his room after breakfast to water all of his many plants. He came to his oldest and favorite Piranha Plant. If you didn’t already figure it out, the Piranha Plant’s name is Henry.
Henry started coughing. Larry quickly poured some water into Henry’s mouth, thinking that was the problem. Henry coughed the water out and rested his head on the side of his pot.
“Kind Dad!” shouted Larry as he ran to Bowser at the breakfast table.
“What?” asked Bowser.
“Henry keeps coughing and I don’t know why,” said Larry.
“Who’s Henry?” asked Bowser.
“My oldest and favorite Piranha Plant,” said Larry.
“That probably means he’s getting old.” said Bowser.
“He’s already old,” said Larry.
“Then it probably means he is going to die soon, but don’t worry, he’ll be sent to a better place,” said Bowser.
Larry walked sadly back to his room. Ludwig and Roy were walking by and saw him. “Hey shrimp!” shouted Roy.
“SHUT UP!” shouted Larry as he pushed Roy down. Roy looked at Ludwig with a confused face. Larry had never been aggressive to anyone in his family before, and no one younger than Roy would dare push him down, he didn’t even think it was possible.
“What’s your problem?” asked Ludwig.
“Henry’s gonna die,” said Larry.
“Who’s Henry?” asked Roy.
“He’s my oldest, favorite Piranha Plant,” said Larry. Ludwig felt sad too. If Larry was sad about a different plant of Larry’s dying, he would laugh at him, but since he owned Pipe Land, he loved Piranha Plants too.
“I can help him if you want,” said Ludwig.
“You will?” asked Larry, who’d never seen Ludwig act nice to him before.
“Sure,” said Ludwig.
“I’m not,” said Roy as he left the room.
“So what can you do?” asked Larry.
“I can make a liquid that will bring it back to it’s old health. To my laboratory,” said Ludwig.
Ludwig and Larry walked to Ludwig’s laboratory. Ludwig started mixing some liquids. “Are you sure you know what you’re doing?” asked Larry.
“Yep,” said Ludwig. Then the test tube in Ludwig’s hand blew up. “Maybe I don’t, but I’ll try and try until I get it right,” said Ludwig as he continued to mix liquids. Soon, he had a dark green liquid in a test tube.
“Hey I heard an explosion, is everyone alright?” asked Lemmy as he and Iggy ran into the room.
“Everything’s fine, now get out of my room!” shouted Ludwig.
“What are you working on?” asked Iggy.
“It’s a formula for making Larry’s plant healthy again,” said Ludwig.
“You mean, you’re helping Larry?” asked Lemmy, a confused look on his face.
“Yes I’m helping Larry, now will you please get out of my room?!” said Ludwig.
“It stinks like chocolate in here anyway,” said Iggy as he and Lemmy left the room.
“Now let's try it out on Henry,” said Ludwig.
Ludwig and Larry
walked to Larry’s room to see Henry coughing. Larry poured the formula
into Henry’s throat. Henry rose his head. “It worked, I’m a genius!” shouted
Ludwig. Then Henry grew to twice his size, which is pretty big, then he
grew to four times his size, then he grew to six times his size. Then he
stopped growing.
“Wow!” shouted Larry.
“King Dad, King Dad!” shouted Ludwig as he ran out of Larry’s room.
“What?” asked Bowser as Ludwig ran up to him.
“Come see what I did!” shouted Ludwig.
Bowser followed Ludwig to Larry’s room. “You really outdid yourself, Ludwig, good work. Do you know if it works on anything else besides plants?” asked Bowser.
“Let’s check,” said Ludwig as he went to his room and made more. He drank some and nothing happened. “I guess it only works on plants,” said Ludwig.
“Give all the
Piranha Plants in the kingdom this formula, then send them to the Mushroom
Kingdom!”
shouted Bowser.
“Yes sir, King Dad,” said Ludwig as he got busy making more. Soon he had made a test tube for every Piranha OPlant in the Koopa Kingdom.
“Everyone, start giving these to the Piranha Plants!” shouted Bowser. All of the Koopa Kids started giving the formula to each Piranha Plant.
After a long while Wendy shouted, “I’m sick of this, can’t somebody else do it? I don’t wanna, I DON’T WANNA!”
“Do it, you lazy brat,” said Lemmy.
“I’m telling King Dad on you!” shouted Wendy as she ran away.
“I am getting sick of this too aren’t you Lemmy, I mean, every single time I do it I have to worry about not getting my hand bit off, and I also-”
Before Morton could finish talking, Lemmy said, “I heard from Ludwig that he missed you and wanted to talk to you.” Morton happily ran over to talk to Ludwig. Lemmy snickered to himself.
Soon they were done and every Piranha Plant in the kingdom was giant. “Now go get the Mushroom Kingdom!” shouted Bowser.
“Should we try the formula on every other plant?” asked Iggy.
“Yes,” said Bowser.
Meanwhile, in the Mushroom Kingdom...
“Hey Mario, the pizza delivery man is here,” said Luigi. Mario ran to the door. He bought the pizza and opened it up.
“You know, there’s one thing I liked better in Brooklyn than here.” said Mario.
“What’s that?” asked Luigi.
“In Brooklyn, we could put mushrooms on our pizzas, but here it would be considered cannibalism,” said Mario.
“Well Mario...” Luigi stopped talking and stared out the window in fear.
“What is it?” asked Mario. As they looked out the window, they saw hundreds of Piranha Plants destroying the kingdom.
“We gotta stop them, Luigi!” shouted Mario.
“Let’s get some Fire Flowers first,” said Mario.
Mario and Luigi got some fire flowers and chased after the Piranha Plants. Mario and Luigi started burning the stems. The stems caught on fire and the Piranha Plants ran in circles screaming. Then they ran past other Piranha Plants and put them on fire. Soon it was a mess of screaming and burning Piranha Plants.
“NOO!” Mario and Luigi heard a voice shout. It was Larry. He started running toward the top of the castle, where there was a hose in case of fire in the castle. Mario and Luigi blocked the way. “Get out of my way!” shouted Larry.
“No, it’s your fault you sent them after us, now you have to pay the consequences,” said Mario.
Larry took out his wand and shot Mario and Luigi with a yellow laser. Mario and Luigi fell to the ground. Larry jumped over them and started running toward the castle. Mario got up and started running after Larry. “Wait for me!” shouted Luigi as he got up ran after Mario.
Larry started climbing the wall of the Mushroom castle. Mario and Luigi started climbing after Larry. Soon Larry was at the balcony of the castle and took the hose. He squirted the hose, putting out the fires on the stems of the Piranha Plants. Mario and Luigi finally got to the top of the castle.
Larry squirted at them with the hose so that the pressure of the hose would blow them off the top and make them fall to their doom. Mario jumped out of the way and Luigi was hit by the hose. Luigi fell off the top of the castle. Luckily for him, he grabbed onto a brick that was poking out of the castle. It was one of the many that they used to climb that castle. Luigi couldn’t find any more bricks to hang on to. “Help Mario!” shouted Luigi.
“Just wait!” shouted Mario as he snatched the hose from Larry. Larry stuck his wand in the spout of the hose, not allowing it to squirt at him. “Hey!” shouted Mario.
Mario dropped
the hose and tried grabbing Larry so he could throw him off the castle.
Larry dodged Mario’s
hands. Larry
noticed the hose getting fatter and fatter. It was about to let out all
of the water.
Larry jumped for
the hose so he could take the wand out and let the water push Mario off.
Mario kicked
Larry when he
got too close to the hose, then Mario grabbed the hose, took the wand out,
and squirted
Larry. The impact
of the water sent Larry off the top of the castle.
Mario turned off the hose and looked down at the side of the castle. Luigi and Larry were hanging on for dear life. Mario one-handedly grabbed Luigi’s hand and pulled him up. The he took Larry and threw him back to the Koopa kingdom.
“What do we do about those giant Piranha Plants?” asked Luigi.
“What giant Piranha
Plants? Look, whatever made them big wore off.” said Mario as he pointed
at the
normal-sized
Piranha Plants running back to the Koopa Kingdom.
Larry fell down in front of Bowser. “Larry, what happened, where did you go?” asked Bowser.
“I went to help my plants,” said Larry.
“What do you mean?” asked Bowser.
“The Mario Brothers put them on fire and I put the fires out, but the Piranha Plants shrunk and they are on their way back,” said Larry.
“So we failed again, what else is new?” asked Bowser.
“We could try something else,” said Larry.
“Later, right now I need to take a nap,” said Bowser.
Larry walked back
to his room. When he got there, Henry came back into the room. He was normal-sized
but
not coughing.
Larry smiled. His oldest most favorite Piranha plant was going to be alright.
