Chapter 4: And Now To Foshi
Foshi: Put your hands up, all of you! Don't anyone move, or I'll kill ya!
It had been a simple trick- using a special ring, Foshi was able to make himself invisable. Then, he sneaked up on a group of Mushroom people and took the ring off, making himself visible. Not only had Foshi caught the guards, off guard, he had also found them without any weapons, so all of them were defenseless.
None of the guards dared to make a move, and the room was completely silent. Grinning, Foshi continued with his plan.
Foshi: And you guys are supposed to be the best of the best... hah! Anyway, since you are all under my command now, one of you must tell me... who and where is your superior? Answer me! I will spare you if you tell me.
No guards spoke. Foshi walked through the crowd, sword in hand.
Foshi: I warn you, I will kill you all if you don't tell me anything!
Foshi stopped and pointed his sword at one mushroom person who was quivering like crazy and was very frightened.
Foshi: You! Who is the ruler of here?
Mushroom Person: Uh... uh... um...
Other Mushroom Person: Leave him alone!
A second Mushroom person had stepped in front of the first and had blocked Foshi's way. Foshi reacted quickly; he made a clean swipe just below the victim's mushroom cap, slicing it right off his head.
Mushroomless Person: Ahh! My cap!
Foshi: Let that be a warning to ya... but if you do that again, you won't be so lucky! Now will you tell me who your king is?
Mushroomless Person: *sniff* We... we will... never... tell you... *sniff*
Foshi: Idiots! Fine, have it your way.
Foshi lazily turned his head away from the pack and extended his palm. A fire wall blazed through the crowd, exterminating each and every Mushroom person in the crowd.
Foshi: *sigh* Bravery... a useless virtue. Now I may never rule the Palace of Power!
Suddenly, a puff of smoke appeared before Foshi and Kamek stood in front of him.
Foshi: Hey, Kamek! Whatcha doin' here, just checkin' on your best Koopa Mage?
Kamek: I'm afraid that's not what I'm here for, Foshi. Bowser has ordered me to bring you back to Castle Koopa.
Foshi: What?!
Kamek: If I don't, I lose my title as Head Mage. There is no other choice for me.
Foshi: What if you just prove to King Bowser that I'm a good Koopa? If I take over the Palace then Bowser will surely change his mind about me.
Kamek: Well... you had better have a good plan. If this doesn't work out, I'm fired!
Foshi: Well... where have YOU been lately?
Kamek: I... that's it! Foshi, do you have any sort of ring that will make us invisible?
Foshi: Two of 'em. Why?
Kamek grabbed for Foshi's ring bag and took out the two rings in question. He handed one to Foshi and put the other one on his finger. Then, with his wand, he teleported the two of them to the courtyard.

Kamek and Foshi surveyed the scene from the top of a pile of debris. Ash was all over the floor and a couple of Yoshis had gathered over something and seemed to be talking to it. Then, a purple-winged Yoshi fell to the floor. The Yoshis moved out of the way and Kamek and Foshi saw that what the Yoshis had gathered around before was a blue-winged Yoshi near unconsciousness.
Kamek: Foshi, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Foshi: Ya don't have to say a word. All we have to do is kidnap those two winged Yoshis! Then we can set up a bargain.
Kamek: Yes, the two Yoshis for their king.
Foshi: But there has to be some sort of distraction! How will we do-
At that moment, a purple-robed Koopa mage and a black Yoshi arrived on the scene with several black Shy Guys hovering above them.
Kamek: It's Kalcia and Sniper!
Kalcia: Sorry to interrupt your little get-together...
Sniper: But we're here to finish what that demon started!
Foshi laughed aloud with glee.
Foshi: This is too rich! Your sister is actually doing a FAVOR for us! She'll make the perfect distraction!
Kamek: What is she doing here? Never mind, let's kidnap those Yoshis before the others find out!
Foshi and Kamek leaped down from the pile and headed for the two injured winged Yoshis.
Kalcia: But first...
Foshi: Duck!
Foshi grabbed Kamek's head and forced him downwards. A purple beam of light flew over thier heads and was absorbed by a yellow Yoshi with glasses on. Foshi then tackled Kamek out of the way as Sniper charged forward with his dark crystal sword, a hand behind his back. Just when Foshi got up he dropped down onto Kamek again as ice beams flew over their heads.
Kamek: Foshi, what in the-
Foshi: This may be a little harder than we thought! Just keep your head low.
Kamek: That shouldn't be too hard...
???: Hey, who's there? I can hear you!
Foshi turned around to see a light blue Yoshi staring down at them. He then noticed that Sniper was about to throw a iron ball. Foshi shoved the blue Yoshi behind a red Yoshi that Sniper was fighting. The red Yoshi dodged the iron ball, just as Foshi had planned. The ball stuck the blue Yoshi right in the chest, knocking her down.
Foshi: Another one bites the dust. Okay Kamek, let's get them!
Kamek: About time. You were starting to squish me there!
The two partners in crime then got up and headed for the Palace's wall. The blue-winged Yoshi was leaning against the wall and the purple-winged Yoshi was thoughtfully placed onto the floor.
Blue Yoshi: Huh? Who are-
Foshi smacked the blue Yoshi with his staff, sending him back into unconsciousness. Kamek stood over the blue Yoshi and silently chanted a spell.
Kamek: There, now this Yoshi will stay asleep until I chant the spell again. How is the purple one?
Foshi: This one's knockin' at heaven's door, I tell ya- completly knocked out, but still alive.
Kamek: Good- we need both of them alive in order to set up a bargain. You take that purple one, and I'll take the blue one. Then I'll teleport us to a safe hiding spot.
Foshi: (while picking up the purple Yoshi) Huh, exactly what "safe hiding spot" are ya talkin' about?
Kamek: (while picking up blue Yoshi) Well, I was thinking...
Kamek then stopped.
Foshi: Uh huh, that's what I thought. Now, I've got an idea...
Foshi snatched Kamek's wand and muttered the teleportation spell. In an instant the two mages were sent to a room high above the courtyard.
Kamek: Where... are we?
Foshi: I saw this tower while we were hiding out. See that intercom over there?
Kamek: I... Foshi, that's it! We'll use the intercom to-
Foshi: Uh huh. You read my mind.

There was silence in the courtyard. Sniper was pinned down by another dark Yoshi that looked very similar to Concord. Kalcia had been knocked down to the ground. Suddenly a small army of Mushroom men marched onto the courtyard. They unarmed Sniper, Kalcia, and their army and then arrested them. They almost arrest the other black Yoshi, but the heroes stopped them. Then General Stan approached Tek and Quckshot.
General Stan: Sorry we couldn't come in before. There was nothing helpful we could do without doing damage to either you or the Palace itself. Where's Concord?
Foshi looked down at the scene and grinned.
Foshi: Hey, Kamek! We left the courtyard just in time. I think now the time is perfect that we announce ourselves.
Kamek: Good idea. I'll turn on the intercom.
Kamek pressed a button and sets the microphone to his lips.
