One morning in the Bowser's castle, Ludwig is in his lab thinking of an idea for his greatest invention.
Ludwig: A shrink ray to shrink my sibling! No, King Dad would get mad. A jet pack! No, Morton may get it and fly to where he can talk and I can't catch him. Ah ha! I will make a machine that makes brain pills! I can give them to my siblings to make them smarter!
So Ludwig works and works. In the meantime, Larry and Iggy are having a conversation at Larry's greenhouse.
Larry: What could Ludwig be doing in his lab all day?
Iggy: Maybe he's bulding something that will blow us up and put an end to the Koopa Empire!
Larry: I hope not, but he usually does something wrong...
Two days later, Ludwig's machine works. It makes brain pills as he had hoped.
Ludwig: Yahoo! Now to test theese pills on someone. I will test then on Morton.
Ludwig runs down to Morton's bedroom. Along the way he is stopped and questioned by Bowser.
Bowser: Ludwig, are you alright?
Ludwig: Why do you ask?
Bowser: You're heading to Morton's bedroom.
Ludwig: I know.
Bowser: Oh no, you made another invention and you're testing it on Morton?
Ludwig: Yep!
Bowser: Better call someone about fixing Morton's blown up room.
Ludwig: Nonsense, it's a harmless brain pill.
Bowser: In that case I'd better call the doctor.
Ludwig: Do you have any confidence in me?
Bowser: No.
That ended Bowser and Ludwigs conversation. Ludwig reaches Morton's room and greats him.
Ludwig: Ah, my sibling Morton!
Morton: Ahh! Not another invention you have made and are planning to use on me that will most likely blow up in my face and otherwise give me pain and Dad will be hopping mad and you will go to the dungeon! AHH!
Ludwig: Shut up and take this pill!
Morton: No, not in one million years, that pill will break my brain poison me make me go crazy-
Ludwig: SHUT UP! Take it, it's just a brain pill.
Morton: AHHHHHHHHHH! No no I can't do it-
Ludwig shoves the pill in Morton's mouth and makes him take a drink of water.
Morton: Ow Im dieing ahh oh no horrible I feel... fine? What in the world could- ahh!
Morton's pill kicked in.
Morton: Hello brother Ludwig, how are you doing?
Ludwig: YAHOO! It worked! Time to show King Dad!
Ludwig dashes to the throne room. Siddenly, Morton's brain pill reverses and becomes a stupid pill. A few minutes later, Bowser enters the room with Ludwig.
Bowser: Sure it works.
Ludwig: Ask Morton!
Morton jumps on Ludwig and starts screaming.
Morton: WHEE ha he hooo haaaaa thhhhh!
Morton jumps on Ludwig's head, causing him to fall over.
Bowser: Get off your brother!
Ludwig: Morton, STOP!
Morton: WHEEE-HEEEEEE!
Bowser: He sounds like Mario!
Morton jumps off of Ludwig and runs
to Wendy's room. By the time they get there Morton has already
jumped on Wendy's chandelier.
Ludwig: Wendy, is Morton here?
Wendy: HELP! MY PRECIOUS CHANDELIER!
Bowser: Yep he's in here!
Bowser and Ludwig look up to see Morton swinging on the chandelier.
Morton: WHOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOO WEEEEEHHH-HEEEEE HO HO HE HA!
Ludwig: The pill changed into a stupid pill!
Bowser: Great! How long do they last?
Ludwig: One week.
Bowser: You're grounded!
Ludwig: What if we catch Morton and put him in a cage for one week?
Bowser: That works, yes, with a soundproof door!
Wendy: My chandelier!
Then Morton brakes the chandelier hanging high in Wendy's room, causing it to fall on Bowser and Ludwig's head.
Bowser and Ludwig: OWW!
Ludwig: He's getting away!
Bowser: Follow that crazy Koopaling!
Bowser and Ludwig split up in a search. Ludwig enters Larry's room.
Larry: What are you doing here Ludwig?
Ludwig: *Pant* I have been chasing Morton.
Larry: Why would you want to do that?
Ludwig: He was turned dumb after taking one of my brain pills.
Larry: I haven't seen Morton all-
Larry is interrupted by Morton, who is hitting himself in the head.
Morton: Gooooooo hoooooooo woooooo looooooo mooooo!
Larry: I see what you mean.
Ludwig: Help me capture him!
Larry: What's in it for me?
Larry looks over to see Morton pulling up his plants and eating them.
Larry: MY PLANTS!
Morton: Huh ho do looo!
Larry runs and punches Morton but Morton acts as if he doesn't feel it.
Morton: Hahahehe fooo wooo!
Ludwig: Somehow he's so stupid he can't even feel pain.
Larry: Well then what are we gonna do?
Ludwig: I got it! Larry, get your magic wand!
Larry pulls out his wand. Ludwig does the same.
Ludwig: Ok, let's put him in a cage.
Larry: Got it.
Ludwig and Larry use their wands to put a cage around Marton.
Marton: Uhhhhhh wuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
Ludwig: That takes care of that. One week and he is normal!
All seemes fine for six days. On the seventh day Ludwig checks on Marton and leaves him some food.
Ludwig: Here you are, stupified sibling Morton, a dinner.
Marton: Yabe!
Ludwig: Whatever. Here you are.
Ludwig trips and swllows one of his pills, which he had left lying in the dungeon.
Ludwig: Oh no! I'm too smart to be dumb! I can't get any smarter, so that means I have five minutes until I become average!
Ludwig rushes to Bowser.
Ludwig: King Dad, I swallowed a stupid pill!
Bowser: Not again! Get in a cage so I won't have to chase you.
Ludwig: Well it's not entirely that bad. I'm smart enough to withstand some of it, but I could end up having the intellect of a normal Koopaling forever!
Bowser: Well just get someone else smart to fix it. Where's Lemmy?
Ludwig: On vacation!
Bowser: Uh oh!
Ludwig: I need a cure, and fast!
Bowser: Well, um, let's see...
Suddenly Morton's cage opens, meaning he's no longer an idiot.
Morton: What happened, what became of me, why am I here I must ask? Ludwig, ow, why am I feeling pain, hurting, why why why? I remember Ludwig making me take a pill, a small capsul filled with a drug, a substance other that food that affects me. I must have forgotten what events may have happend to me in the total of one week. I'm glad Ludwig keeps a calendar down here.
Morton rushes to the main hall, where he finds Bowser and a panicing Ludwig.
Bowser: Well who else is there that's smart enough?
Ludwig: Morton!
Bowser: No, he's too stupid!
Ludwig: No, there is Morton!
Morton: What happened to me what became of me when you gave me that pill the capsul with what you call brain pill wha-
Ludwig: You took it and became smart, then stupid. You were crazy so it took both Larry and I to stop you. The effect wore off after one week.
Morton: Why panic?
Ludwig: I accidently took one!
Morton: So? One week didn't kill me!
Ludwig: I'm already so the pill's interfence may cause me to become a normal koopa forever. I need an antidote soon. I have only one minute left to be a genius. After that I will become normal. I'll have three weeks to be cured but the only other Koopaling that's smart enough to figure it out, Lemmy, is currently out on vacation.
Bowser: There goes my planner.
Morton: No problem, no sweat, no trouble at all! Leave this to Morton!
Bowser: HAHAHAHA!
Morton: Well I'm smart, you never notice becuase every time I make a grand speech you always interupt me and I am unable to share my opinions, some of which are actually very smart.
Bowser: What's happening to Ludwig?
Ludwig is glowing, then he faints. Bowser takes him to Kamek for an inspection.
Kamek: He's ok, just fainted. This bucket of water over his head may do the trick!
Kamek throws water on Ludwig.
Ludwig: C-c-co-ol-ld!
Morton: Are you smart Ludwig?
Bowser: I hope he is! I need a plan. The inventions of his blow up but some plans would help.
Ludwig: Smart! Yeah right, I never have been smart!
Then Roy runs in with Larry, Iggy, and Wendy.
Roy: How are you, genius Kooky?
Ludwig: Genius? I'm no genius! I like that nickname Kooky!
Larry: Oh my, he hates being called Kooky! King Dad, what happened?
Bowser: He swallowed his invention, a brain pill.
Iggy: A what?
Bowser: It's supposed to make you smarter but it actually makes you stupid!
Ludwig: I'm average!
Morton: I took one and something horrible happened!
Larry: We know.
Morton: Not that this isn't worse!
Wendy: What is it Morton?
Morton: I can't talk as much now! I need a cure too!
Bowser: You're better this way, Morton. Let's help Ludwig!
Morton: Ah yes, I'm going to make a cure!
Roy: HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Larry: Sure you are!
Morton: No, really, I think I'm smarter now that I'mm over the dumb spell.
Ludwig: You must be gaining intellect becuase you're over the dumbness!
Ludwig, after his last genius thought, faints again.
Bowser: How could he say that?
Morton: Probably a spurt of a smart thought.
Roy: This is scary! Morton's smart!
Wendy: I'm going to put on make-up.
Wendy leaves the room. Kamek teleporyts the remaning Koopas to the Koopas' royal hospital. A day passes. Ludwig is ok but still unconscious.
Morton: It's possable he could be smart again!
Bowser: He's coming to!
Larry: That's a relief!
Roy: Yeah, maybe he's smart again!
Ludwig: Hi bros. Hi King Dad.
Bowser: He seems ok!
Ludwig: I'm fine really. I can't remember much of what happened.
Morton: Ludwig, do you remember being a genius?
Ludwig: Haha! No, I'm average, like Larry or Roy.
Morton: I was afraid of-
Morton suddenly starts to glow, then returns to normal. The pill's effect has worn off, leaving Morton his normal, average self.
Morton: What was I saying?
Bowser: We lost Morton too! He's normal again!
Larry: Isn't that Lemmy?
Lemmy walks in, back from his beach vacation. Roy runs to him and falls to his knees.
Roy: HELP Lemmy! Kooky is normal! He's no genius! Change him back!
Lemmy: What?
The Koopas tell Lemmy about Ludwig's brain pills and the weird effects.
Lemmy: Well I'll try. I need to finish a project I started a while back.
Iggy: What project?
Lemmy: It's a brain tecknique. I need to finish the book to see how to get information out of him.
Larry: We'll restore Ludwig with the teckniques!
Lemmy: Well it can only pull out some thoughts. I don't know how long it will take before Ludwigs old thoughts disappear.
Ludwig: I'm fine Lemmy!
Lemmy: It's possible I can fully restore Ludwig's memory so I can get the antidote ingredients.
Ludwig: I have always been like this!
Bowser: Lemmy, get started!
Lemmy: Yes King Dad.
Roy: And step on it!
Bowser: Larry, Roy, and Morton, you stay with Ludwig. You need to make him smarter!
Larry: We can't!
Bowser: You have to! The Mario Brothers are on the way to my secret stash! Ludwig needs to build me a robot so we can stop them!
Bowser is right, for just at that moment the Mario Brothers are indeed approaching his secret base.
Mario: This-a plan will work-a great!
Luigi: Yeah, we-a get to steal Bowser's-a gold coins that he uses to-a buy his weapons!
Yoshi: No food?
Toad: No, no food dino brain!
Yoshi: Yoshi hungry!
Bowser is monitoring the situation alongside his childen. Ludwig is still lying in his hospital bed.
Bowser: I'm ruined! Ludwig, make a robot!
Ludwig: I don't know how!
A dew days later, Ludwig is released from the hostpial. Lemmy takes Ludwig to his lab to make him remember making the brain pills in order to find out what they were made of.
Ludwig: I made all this?
Lemmy: Yes, some of it actually worked!
Ludwig: I must have been a genius!
Lemmy: Um, yes, well, remember anything about some brain pills?
Ludwig: Uh...
Slowly, Ludwig remembers... A shrink ray to shrink my sibling! No, King Dad would get mad. A jet pack! No, Morton may get it and fly to where he can talk and I can't catch him. Ah ha! I will make a machine that makes brain pills! I can give them to my siblings to make them smarter!
Ludwig: Now that you mention it, I remember a little...
Lemmy: That's progress! Now what are they made of?
Ludwig: Uh...
Ludwig gets another flashback... Ah yes, this sugar with Koopa Tea, chocolate, vinegar, and smart soup made of Ludwig smart juice will make the perfect brain pill!
Ludwig: It's made of sugar with Koopa Tea, chocolate, vinegar, and smart soup made of Ludwig smart juice!
Lemmy: Now to make the antidote!
Ludwig: I guess that's good!
Two days later, Lemmy has the cure.
He also discovers that the Mario Brothers are
heading toward Bowser's castle.
Lemmy: King Dad!
Bowser:Yes Lemmy? What is Ludwig's current condition?
Lemmy: It's the same. I have the antidote!
Bowser: YES! Now give it to him! I can't wait to have him back!
Lemmy: Looks like you'll have to!
Bowser: Say what?
Lemmy: It will take seven days for him to recover everything.
Bowser: Well at least the Mushroom Kingdom army isn't forming a mob that's heading toward the castle.
Lemmy: Actually, they are!
Bowser: KOOPALINGS, REPORT HERE NOW!
Ludwig, Roy, Morton, Iggy, Wendy, and Larry rush in.
Wendy: What is it? I was putting on make-up!
Bowser: It's horrible! Ludwig is dumb and the Mushroom army and the Mario Brothers are coming here ready to fight!
Iggy: AHH! I'm afraid of Mario Brothers!
Ludwig: I'm not dumb!
Roy: Let's pound them!
Wendy: I can't fight!
Larry: I'll try!
Lemmy: I'm in!
Morton: Let's thrash them to the kingdom they came from!
Bowser: Duties! Ok, Wendy you can watch for them from your bedroom window. Go now!
Wendy: I'm on it!
Bowser: Lemmy, you're with the battle crew. Get outside!
Lemmy: Yes Dad.
Bowser: Roy, go with Lemmy. Ludwig well, er go to the field. Iggy, you guard the castle. Morton to the field, Larry to the field.
The Koopaling head to their assigned posts.
Ludwig: King Dad says you have something for me, Lemmy bro.
Lemmy: Yes, the pill that cures you. You will get smarter by the minute. Here you go Kooky.
Ludwig swallows the pill.
Ludwig: Don't call me Kooky!
Roy: Great, he's coming back!
Ludwig: Who?
Roy: You.
Ludwig: Were did I go?
Meanwhile, the Mushroom army approaches the castle.
Yoshi: Yoshi hungry!
Mario: Yoshi go on a diet!
Luigi: Yeah-a Yoshi!
General Toado: Mario, we are approaching Bowser's castle!
Mario: Great, we need to beat them on their own ground-a for once!
Wendy: DAD! I SEE THEM!
Bowser: GET READY ON THE BATTLEFIELD!
Ludwig: Ok King Dad, the Marios won't mess with me, the geniu- What was I saying?
Lemmy: CHARGE!
Roy: HAHAHA!
Larry: WHEEE!
Morton: MY SPEECH WHY I THINK KING
DAD NEEDS AN EARLIER BEDTIME CHAPTER ONE!
Ludwig throws fireballs at the army, Lemmy throws spiked balles, Roy punches, Larry jumps, and Morton reads stupid speeches through his megaphone.
General Toado: Mario, I cant bare it anymore! That Koopa's mouth is huge and horribly loud, not to mention his speech is senseless. I'm going deaf!
Mario: AHH!
Luigi: OWW!
Yoshi: FOOOOD!
As a soldier Toad approaches the gate, Iggy lowers the drawbridge on top of him.
Iggy: This is fun!
Inside the castle, Bowser is nervously watching, waiting to strike.
Roy: General Idiot, give up!
General Toado: No!
Morton: KING DAD ALSO IS SLEEPWALKING DUE TO HIS LACK OF SLEEPING!
Larry: Whee!
Larry jumps on most of the troops. Ludwig is gradually getting smarter and is slowing pushing back the Toads.
Ludwig: I dare you to mess with Ludwig von Koopa, the genius Koopaling! Hey, I am smart! I remember Morton and the brain pills incident!
Lemmy: I heard that I'm to thank for your recovery!
Ludwig: Thanks Lemmy!
Soon the Mushroom army retreats.
General Toado: RETREAT!
Yoshi: FOOD!
Mario: RUN FOR IT!
Luigi: I'M OUTTTA HERE!
Bowser: Great! We won the war, and Ludwig is a lot smarter. In no time he will be back to normal.
Ludwig: I won't make any more brain pills!
In a few days, Ludwig is fully healed. He is going through his closet.
Ludwig: The recipe for stupid pills... I think I will keep it just in case!
