Chapter Thirty-Seven: The Race is On!
Slimer49'r grinned as he ran up the volcano. Hot on his trail were Mario and Luigi. Luigi charged up a ball of thunder and shot it at Slimer. He jumped. "Ha! Missed!" Slimer shouted.
Luigi grinned. "Wasn't aiming at you."
Slimer looked up and saw a big boulder.
"Aw, man..." BONK! Slimer49'r looked dazed. "Hewo mommee! Goo! Er... I
mean the eggs are mine!" as Luigi, Mario, and Yoshi passed him.
Bowser grumbled and landed on the ground
at Yoshi's Island. He had been flying for miles now, and was exhausted.
He got out of his Koopa Klan 3000 and into a clown car with legs. He busted
the volcano wall open and found Slimer49'r, Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi a few
stories up.
Lord Alkeron got up, dazed, and remembered why he was there. He had been knocked out by a crazy green plumber and was mad. He flew to the side of the volcano and looked around. Unfortunately, who should be coming in the oposite way, but Bowser, Slimer49'r, Yoshi, Mario, and Luigi. They all crashed in a steaming pile of fists.
"FireBrand!"
"ThunderBrand!"
"Magic!"
"Tongue!"
"Fire Breath!"
"Elec-saw!"
Mario used a fireball, accidentally hitting Yoshi. Luigi threw a thunderball, accidentally hitting Mario. Yoshi threw his tonuge and accidentally hit Luigi."It's dark in here!" Luigi cried.
"Sorry, Luigi." Yoshi spit him out.
Alkeron used a magic attack that hit Bowser, and Bowser used his fire breath but somehow hit himself. Slimer49'r used an Elec-saw that hit Bowser and Alkeron. At this point, Slimer49'r crawled out from the fray.
"Oh no! He's getting away!" Mario shouted. The trio (you should know by now) followed Slimer just fast enough to see him get to the top. They followed him and saw him grab the eggs. "At Last! I FINAL-Ally claimed the eggs!" Slimer49'r cried. He was becomming a beast of immense power. His muscles were large and bulky. "NOW MORTAL! TREMBLE!"
Chapter Thirty-Eight: Carniverous Koopa
"HA! You are now looking at, Slimer49'r the god!"
Mario and Luigi gasped. Yoshi got out a neon egg. "Yoshi saddle up, for Mario now!"
Mario jumped on Yoshi's saddle. Mario tossed the neon egg at Slimer, hitting him squarely between the eyes but barely phasing him. "GRAWW! Fools! Slimer is invincible now!" His gigantic fist swung down and knocked Mario off of Yoshi. Yoshi lay moaning in pain. Luigi jumped on Mario's shoulders and did a hip drop on the beast, knocking him back slightly. "GWA HAA HAA!" he laughed wickedly. Then Mario remembered the star sword.
He pulled it out of its sheath and held
it in the air. "You are going down!" Mario cried. "Luigi! Bandage Yoshi,
I'll take care of this scum." While Luigi went to help Yoshi, Mario confronted
the beast. "Hit the road and don't you come back no more!" Mario slashed
at the beast's soft underbelly. "RAUUGH! What is this thing that can hurt
the great Slimer?" Mario slashed again, but this time Slimer was ready.
He blocked the weapon with his deadly claws and retaliated.
Meanwhile, Alkeron and Bowser were still
fighting and did not realize they were the only two left. All of a sudden
they were lifted out of the volcano by Slimer49'r and flung across the
land. Alkeron landed in his base, whereas Bowser landed on his ship and
broke it.
Mario stabbed out at Slimer49'r and he screamed. "GRAAH! I have no time for games! Welcome to my world!" And with that Slimer49'r summoned magic and unleashed a fury...
Chapter Thirty-Nine: The Mushroom Kingdom?
Alkeron stared out the deserted dusty
window he had just crashed through. He could not actually see it, but he
had magic so he knew when Slimer49'r was going to do something... and he
was about to release a world-changing spell. "I Have prepared a protective
bubble that will hopefully cancel out this magic," he said. "But just for
us." He rubbed his head. "Of course some that he wishes to not control
will not change. Here it comes!"
A wall of magenta came toward Mario and Luigi. They gasped and ran. "There is nowhere to run!" Especially when I rule!"
Mario and Luigi kept running down the volcano. "Wha-AAAAA!" Bowser screamed as the wall of magic consumed him.
Agent Guy was still in the boat waiting for Slimer. "Where could he be? Wait- aren't they the Mario Bros? And what is that behind- AHHHHH!"
The whole island was consumed in magenta and it was slowly covering Plit. When things died down Mario was lying on a cold hard pavement.
"Ugh, what hit me?" Mario looked around. He was in the Mushroom Kingdom, or what looked like the Mushroom Kingdom. The sky was bright red, like molten lava; the water was green and polluted with garbage; and the road was torn and deserted. "Hello?" Mario's voice just echoed. The whole place looked completely deserted. "Anyone?" This wasn't his home. What was going on? Was it all a dream?
"Hey, you." Mario heard a voice. "Over here." It was Toad! Mario had never been so relieved to see the little Mushroomer. Mario looked into Toad's eyes, but something was wrong. Toad's eyes were no longer the happy eyes they always were. Replacing it, a cold glare met Mario. His usual smile that he wore was twisted upside down in a cruel grimmace.
"Toad, are you okay?" Mario asked.
"Of course I am, why?" The mushroomer looked at him.
"It's just that the Mushroom Kingdom i-" Mario turned around. "It's just a-"
Click! Mario found that his hands were in cuffs. "Toad, what the?!"
Toad just smiled. A cold, cruel smile. "You? You're under arrest, upon orders of King Slimer.
Chapter Fourty: Booked
Mario grunted as he was thrown roughly into the back of a car. "Agh! Toad, why?!" Mario asked.
"What are you talking about, criminal?" Toad glared at Mario like scum. "I serve King Slimer49'r and you're one of the most wanted criminals in the kingdom!" Mario suddenly remembered Slimer49'r's blast of magic. It must have bent the world to his will! Mario looked out the car window as the buildings went whizzing by.
he car schreeched to a stop and Mario was forced into the police station. "I found 'em, Rich. He was wonderin' around downtown. But seriously! Why would the world's most wanted criminals just be walkin' around downtown?"
They led him to a grey-lined cell. As he was thrown in he saw some early villains in a cell. "Hey co-" Mario stopped. His cellmates looked at him like he was going to attack. "Hey guys, I'm not going to hurt you." Mario said.
"You-y-you're not? I thought you were the most ruthless villain on the planet!" one of the villans said. "My name's Diago, this is Fawful, and Bowser." Diago was a tall Koopa with large muscles.
"I know a way to get out, but it includes us working together," said Mario. It was agreed. Fawful planted a line of bombs, Bowser lit them with fire, and the wall blew up. Diago left a smoke bomb behind as he heard the alarm for the jail. "Thanks Diego, just one thing. Where can I find Slimer49'rs castle?" Mario asked.
"Oh, that. It's over there. About a block down.
Mario stole a police motercycle and drove to Slimer49'rs castle. He hopped off when he got there and ran up to the front door of the castle. He burst open the door to see Slimer sitting on the throne and Princess Peach, wearing rags and chains, mopping up the floor. Mario gasped. "Ah, Mario, you're here. Don't you think it's nice the way I redesigned the world? And the fact that the bratty princess finally got what she deserves. I crave entertainment, Agent Guy. Wipe him from the face of the planet. My planet."
Chapter Fourty-One: King Slimer
"Prepare for pain, Mario!" Agent Guy equipped a grenade to his right arm. He clamped a metal armor around him, sealing him. Out of his armor came a laser cannon. FAWWOOSH! It whisked past Mario. Mario jumped up and connected a fireball to his head. "ARRGH!" Agent Guy threw the grenade and Mario dodged it, then grabbed it in midair, sending it back at Agent Guy. There was a boom as Agent Guy went flying through the roof.
Slimer clapped his hand over his face. "Ugh. I guess I'll have to handle this myself. I wasn't expecting him to win." Slimer49'r jumped off his throne and onto the floor. The resulting shockwave knocked Mario over. "YAAA!" Slimer49'r unsheathed two laser swords and ran at Mario. Mario got a broom just in time. FZZ! FZZZ! The swords cut the broom in half and Mario kicked Slimer in the face. Mario backflipped and dodged as Slimer shot his plasma cannon. The castle door exploded. "Hold still!"
Then Mario remembered the star sword. The two swords connected and the castle was bathed in white hot light. Slimer backflipped and delivered a spinning sidekick to Mario's head. "Unh!" Mario hit a wall an ran at Slimer. FZZZ FZZZZ! The two swords clashed again and again.
Finally Slimer slipped and Mario delivered a wound to his sholder. "Plan Beta." The eggs were brought to Slimer and he held them raised above his head.
"Mighty, Shreok! Grant me your greatest of all powers!" The eggs glowed a deep violet and then, the earth shook in fury. Fire spewed out a deep magenta from the ground. A halo of energy consumed Slimer49'r. "Yes! Yes!" His muscles flexed, bulging. His entire body was growing. "HAHAHAH!" Two stories high and rising. His black mohawk was consumed with silvery light before becoming a maine of fire. His claws glinted and turned a poisonus black.
"GRAAAGH!" Slimer smacked Mario with his huge tail. Mario got up, ran towards Slimer, and attempted to cut away at Slimer. CLUNK. It was like the sound of metal on metal. The star sword was useless. He was doomed.
Chapter Fourty-Two: The Rebirthing
Eldstar looked down at the scene below him. Mario was lying in a pile of rubble. Slimer49'r was as large as a two-story building, laughing down at Mario. Princess Peach was sobbing on the ground. The castle had been demolished by Slimer's huge size. "No. No." It could not end this way. Lightning flashed on the dead disheveled sky; it was a day that would make the minions of Haides cackle with glee.
Mesquador was in hysterics. "What are we supposed to do?!" Eldstar was gaping. Gaping. What could he do?
"Bwa Ha Haaa! You funny little man. You actually think you could defeat me? You are nothing. Nothing to me."
Mario was lying on the ground. 'Why? Why? I've failed. Failed everyone I love and care about.' No. It was not going to end this way. If he was to die, he would die fighting. Standing up, he yelled at the creature, "C'mon, ugly- what you got?" Mario staggered over to it. He repeatedly hit his sword on the creature's flesh, to no effect but to get Slimer annoyed.
"YOU'RE PATHETIC, WIMP!"
Slimer shot a blast of fire at Mario that burned him. "Aaaagh!" Mario turned. He was bleeding badly and turned to face him.
Mario wiped blood from his lip. Eldstar, watching in horror, suddenly realized what he had to do. "Come on! I can't do this alone!" he shouted at the other Star Spirits. They headed down to Plit and found Mario.
"WHAT?" Slimer growled as he saw the Star Spirits. Mario fell. The Star Spirits dove into his body. Mario saw darkness and felt pain all over his body. But then he opened his eyes.
All of a sudden a raw power flowed through Mario's veins. His wounds healed almost instantly. Mario opened his eyes. "I shall take you down. Let god bury you!"
Chapter Fourty-Three: The Final Battle
Mario's eyes blazed in the dark of night, burned like fiery embers hotter than the stars. "You have enslaved my family, my friends, and everyone I care about! Take this!" Mario flew from the ground, connecting sword and Talon. CLASSHHH! CLASHHH!
Slimer did a backflip through midair. "Think I'm out of tricks, eh?" Slimer delivered another spinning kick but this time Mario was ready. CLASSSH! CLASSSH "Why don't- CLASHHH! - you just - CLASSH! - give up. Mario?!" Slimer threw a ball of fire at Mario which he vaporized with his sword. Slimer shot a blast of magic in midair at Mario which dispelled, then sucked them into another demension.
They were on a giant ham. Inside was a thick red liquid substance that oozed disgustingly. SIZZLE! The ham sunk under the liquid and the two foes jumped onto a large bone. "Let's end this!" Slimer sprouted wings and divebombed Mario. Mario parried to the side and cut at his face. Slimer bellowed in anger. He took the shape of a huge venom-spitting spider.
Slimer came closer, but Mario cut through the web that was being shot at him. Mario parried to the back and struck the spider's mid-section. SCREEEEEAGGH! The spider pulled a Houdini and pulled them into another dimension. This time they were floating on a large octagonal platform. The air around them was like glass. Mario leaped into the air and hovered there.
CLASHH! CLASHH! The sound of sword and claws was heart and Slimer got angry. He swatted Mario out of the sky. While Mario fell he cursed. "This is for my family, my friends, and for everyone! I here and forever banish you to your well-deserved grave!"
Mario stuck the sword in Slimer's tough side. GRAHHHH!!! A white light engulfed them both as they faded. Slimer fell to the earth, dead.
Mario slowly returned to his normal self, and using the eggs, Mario returned to Earth. "It is done," he said, and everything was returning to how it should be.
Chapter Fourty-Four: The Homecoming Parade
Everything was returning to its former state, and Princess Peach was returned to her beautiful self. The Star Spirits left Mario's body. "Mario, thank you!" Peach kissed Mario on the cheek. Mario wobbled on his feet and bowed. "Thank you, Princess Peach. Come on, let's have a special feast, and a parade."
Bowser's kids had tried to invade the Mushroom Kingdom, but unfortunately were stopped by Slimer's magic and were now weaponless inside the Mushroom Kingdom jail. Bowser of course was coming to get them and Kamek was patching the roof again. Everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom was invited to the promised feast. As they sat down, Peach cut the turkey and handed it out.
Yoshi was there, and so were all the heroes of the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond, plus a lot of commoners. "Yoshi eat melon!" He ate a melon off of somebody else's plate.
"EEK!" a girl cried. The same continued.
Geno was examining the mortal food while
Mallow and his girlfriend Rose were sitting on the balcony.
Mequador was crying and Malor was holding her hand. Eldstar had been a very old star, 589,000,000 years old. And after using his full power to fuel Mario he was really weak. They were at Star Haven's hospital. The doctor poked his head out and shook his head. Every star went to the funeral including the Star Spirits from the past. They sobbed as the priest spoke. "Eldstar was the bravest Star Spirit I know, and probably the same would go with you."
Up in The Sky a million miles from Star Haven, Eldstar had just awoken. "YOU DID A GREAT THING, ELDSTAR," a voice called to him. Out of the blue, Eldstar saw a large yellow star. Eldstar gasped. "Are you, the defender?" The star nodded.
"YOU WILL ALSO BE REMEMBERED ON PLIT,
IN STAR HAVEN, AND YOU WILL BE HONORED HERE." Eldstar smiled. Yes he was
in Heaven now, but he had done the right thing.
Mario and Peach smiled as they watched the parade. "This was an exciting night, huh?" Mario said.
"Mnhm." Peach nodded and smiled. As they watched the parade they saw the stars twinkle and the fireworks start. "Look, the finale!" Peach pointed. "You know I just want the fighting to stop. It Isn't right." Peach smiled.
Luigi just passed by on a float. "Hey,
Bro!" Luigi waved at the people and Mario smiled.
Lord Alkeron saw Zalor, God of Destruction returning from the sky. "So, is it done?" Alkeron asked.
"Yes, the Destroyer has arrived."
He smiled. "Excellent."

PS: Well, Slimer49'r fans, didn't that rock? Even though the first book is over (yes there is a sequel), there are so many questions to be asked. Like, what is to become of your favorite charecter and mine, Slimer49'r? Who does Alkeron mean by the "Destroyer"? And why can't Slimer stop picking his nos- HEY! WOULD YOU GET OUT OF HERE!
