Chapter 9: Robot Rampage
MARIO
"People of Plit, you shall become our slaves!" The tyranical abomination stepped out of the ship.
I gasped in fear. He couldn't be back. He... couldn't...
"MWA-HA-HA-HAAAAA!" He conjured a golden orb of energy in his hands. FwooooooM! It flew towards us. I conjured my own pyrosphere and shot it back at the mechanical demon. The two flaming pyros collided, causing an explosion of fire and light.
"Why have you come back?" I asked.
"Unfinished business." It grinned evilly.

YOSHI
"AAAhhh..." I said as I gulped down a fruit from the tree. It was a beautiful sunlit day on Yoshi's Island, and I was thoroughly enjoying myself.
"Hiya, Yoshi!" It was my good friend Peter. Only one year ago I had gone with him on a journey to the center of the woods and had a frightening experience (see book one). Now he was waving and smiling.
"Hey, Peter. What's up? Want some fruit?" I asked.
He frowned. "Don't you know what day it is?"
I was confused. He sighed.
"It's Yoshi Bowl 46!"
I gasped. "YOSHI BOWL XLVI?!"
We didn't wait another second, we rushed to Peter's house and turned on the TV. "Welcome, sports fans, to Yoshi Bowl XLVI! We have a great game tonight! In it we have The Green Skin Packers versus the New Yosh Giants! I'm Yosh Madden!"
This was the game of the year, and I was excited. "Now join us down on the field, where we'll be welcoming our first team!

MARIO
I was bruised and tired. I couldn't take much more.
"What's the matter, Mario? Getting tired?" It was toying with me, like a cat plays with its food.
"Ohh..." My vision faltered. I stumbled,
struggled to get up, and looked at it. It was like a huge mechanical skull
mounted upon a rectangular body. It wielded a grisly hammer at its side.
Twice the size of my own
hammer, it had a wicked blade on its
end that cut into your soul just as much as your flesh.
"I admit, it's been fun, but I have other things to do."
ZZZZZZZZZAAAARRRKK!!! A bolt of lightning covered my entire body, frying every ounce of my being. It felt like every nerve in my body was exploding. "AAAAAAAAAAAUGH!!!!" I dropped to the ground, crumpled, and then- Nothingness.

YOSHI
Me and Peter were walking along the beach, remembering our friend Billy. He had gone off to Earth to see what it was like. The three of us had been friends for a long time.
"Well, Yoshi, I gotta get home soon, my parents will be worried." I waved goodbye as he ran home.
I kept walking along the beautiful sparkling beach. It was getting dark. The clouds darkened above me. "It is late, maybe this wasn't a good idea..." I walked faster.
"OoOOoooohhh..." An eerie voice came out of the shadows.
"AAAA!" I screamed, but my fear turned to sorrow as a wounded Mushroomer came twords me. His clothes were torn, his face was badly burned, and he was covered in bruises. "Oh my God..."
He gasped and said, "Mario... in t-trouble..." He fainted.
I called for 911 and got a boat. I was
going to save my friend.
Chapter Ten: The Labyrinth
YOSHI
"MARIO!" I roared. I looked down in horror. Mario's limp body was lying on the ground. He had lost a lot of blood, but he was alive. Smithy towered above Mario, ten feet tall, evil and monsterous, with an evil grin. He whirled towards me. "Excuse me, but do I know you?" he asked.
"No... BUT YOU WILL VERY SOON!"
I rushed at Smithy, fangs gleaming in the sun. Smithy readied himself, but instead I threw a crystal egg at him. KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! It hit him squarely in the face. "ARRGH! You little pest!"
Smithy charged at me, then hit me on the head on with his mallet. BAM! It was like getting hit in the face with a diesel train moving at three-hundred miles per hour. "OOF!" I flew back, into a brick wall. "OOoooOOooOooOOoOohhHHHhhh..." I groaned, doubled over in pain.
"Face it you, fool, I've abducted most of the people in this town," Smithy said.
"SHUT. UP!" THWHACK! I smacked my tail into his face. There was an evil gleam in his eyes.
"Ah, a faithful Yo'ster. Always willing to battle to the end. Just like your parents," he said. My expression changed from one with hatred and anger, to one of amazement.
"Y-y-you knew my p-parents?" I just stood there, digesting what he had said.
"Quite well, in fact. They were very brave. Especially your mother. Oh, Betty, what an annoying fool. The two of them were always defeating me." An evil grin spread across his face. "So I killed them."
My blood froze. "Let me tell you how it all happened..."
It was a beautiful sunlit day on Yoshi's Island. Betty and Hank were feeding Yoshi. The birds were singing, and baby Yoshis were playing in the lush meadows. "Open up, Yoshi, let in the airplaine," Betty said.
"Aiwopwane! Aiwopwane!" Yoshi said.
Hank opened the window and looked out. But there was something wrong. A dark shadow spread across the sky. Smithy's army was coming. It came out of the sky in the axe ship, the Blade. Yoshi's parents rushed out of their house. They tried to overpower the invaders, but were to weak. Yoshi was left there; he witnesssed the entire thing and was forced to watch as the army ripped his parents to shreads. The memory burned into his memory forever...
I stared out into space. "LIAR!" I threw a crystal egg at Smithy. BABOOOOM!!!
"Fool. Like parents, like son."
In a couple of seconds I was surrounded by Smithy's army. I tried to fight them off, but it was completely useless. TSSSSSEEEEEWWW!!! I looked down to see a cleanly made hole in my gut. "Ugh..." As I passed out, I saw Smithy howling with laughter...

LUIGI
"Ohhhh... My head." I looked around and saw green liquid flowing around me. "Where am I?" I looked closer to see... Yoshi! YOSHI! is what I tried to say, but all that came out was a gurgle. My arms and legs were bound together. I lifted my legs and kicked the glass imprisoning me. KRASSH! I punched Yoshi's container also. "Yoshi! Yoshi!" I shouted.
He coughed up water. "L-Luigi?" he muttered. "Smithy... he captured us.
"What happened to Mario?" I asked.
"He's alive- just barely," Yoshi said. I looked ahead of us. We were on Smithy's ship.
Just a head of us was a huge dark labyrinth.
It seemed to stretch on for miles. We heard low moans coming from it. "They've
dissarmed us. It will be difficult for us to reach the opposite side."
I smiled, unwarily. "Danger is my middle name." As we trekked into the
maze, a creature, unbeknown to us, was stalking us...
Chapter Eleven: The Hunted
YOSHI
I felt a cold chill run down my back. And the weird thing was I wasn't cold. I wasn't on a mountain either. I was in a maze, in an alien space ship. That kinda thing doesn't usually happen to you, does it? Long story. Too long. I wasn't getting good vibes from this place.
"Luigi?" I asked.
"Yeah?" he said back.
"I think something's watching us."
He started to reply, but then out of the darkness came the most hideous creature I had ever seen. It stood at least 15 ft tall, looming over us. Its long sharp fangs were dripping with saliva. It had two curved horns on its head. Eight eyes littered its humongous head. A slimy forked tounge lolled out of its gaping mouth. It had a black spiked shell on its back, but the legs were the worst. Six legs the size of tree trunks came out of its shelled body, the two front legs curved outward to produce two sickle-like blades. And every one of its legs had eyes on it. It really looked like a hideously morphed Boom Boom.
SKRAAAAAAAWWWWWW!!!
"I don't suppose that thing is friendly, huh?" Luigi asked.
Crunch!!!
"Woah!" The area that Luigi had been standing a second before had been skewwered by the creature's sickle leg. "Guess not."
Luigi leaped into the air and brought out his hammer. CRRRRRAAAACCCCK!!! The hammer hit the creature hard. SKRAWWW!!! It staggered back. THHHHWWWWIIIPP!!! A sticky web shot out from the creature's rear. THWWWWIIIP! THHHHHWWWWIIIP!!!
"Woah, this thing shoots webs, too?!" Luigi said as he jumped to avoid another webby blast. "What next, acid?!" Luigi said angrily.
SPPAAAATTT!!! The creature spit a gob of acidic juices at Luigi.
"Great."
I observed the creature to see its strategy, to formulate my own. Then I had it. "Luigi! I have a bean fruit in my pocket!" I pulled it out, ate it, then produced a shiny neon egg. "Here's egg in your face, Ugly!" I tossed the egg at the creature. BAWOOOOOOM!!!
"Did we kill it?" I asked Luigi.
"I don't know," he replied.
SKRAWWWWWW!!!!
"Guess not," I said.
The creature, now enraged, shot a web up at the ceiling, raised itself and dropped back first. I ran out of the way, but when it landed I had an idea. "Luigi! Attack it's exposed belly now!" I said.
Luigi raised his hammer and smashed the creature's stomach. SKREEEEE!!! The creature writhed and got back up. The creature wasn't dumb enough to make the same mistake twice. It flew to the air, and started spitting acid. I prepared another neon egg but the creature hid inside its shell.
"Darn!" It was an annoying creature.
I noticed there was one point where it blew fire at us, leaving its stomach exposed. BOOOOM! The neon egg hit directly on cue. SKREEEEE!!! The creature fell to the ground. I jumped on its head.
"C'mon! You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn!" I shouted.
It did just what I had hoped. It tried to stab me, but I jumped out of the way, leaving it to stab itself and leak green blood everywhere. SKRAWWWW!!! It staggered.
"Now to finish this once and for all!" I said. I ate a bean fruit, produced a neon egg, then threw it into the creature's mouth.
BOOOOOOMMMM!!!
"We did it!" I said. We were covered with creature guts and blood, but at least we were alive. "Let's get out of this deathtrap," I said.
We exited the maze and found ourselves on the main deck. It was a huge room, pictures of Smithy hung from the walls. Large red creatures with slim red bodies and tentacles that dragged on the ground were mumbling in some strange alien lingo, while we creeped past them hoping they wouldn't notice.
"Ah, so you escaped. Just like I knew you would." Smithy stepped out of the shadows. He dragged Peach's limp body behind him.
"What did you do to the princess?" I asked.
"Do not worry. She still breathes." Smithy said. "But you two, will not be so lucky."
Chapter Twelve:The Truth
SLIMER49'R
I cowered behind a tree. "Woah! did you see that?!" I said.
"Yes, I suppose I did witness that occurance. The Vreyks are a deadly species," Mewtwo90 said.
"DAD! I hate my life!" I muttered.
A paper flew by and I picked it up. It said: Brian White, found kidnapped by Bowser. Reporters had just figured that Bowser Koopa kidnapped him.
"HOLY CRUD!!! That's my brother!!!" I shouted.
"Your sibling?" he asked. I stood up an went to the information department. He followed me.

When we got to the information booth I was out of breath. "Hey, do you know when this information came out?" I asked a Toad.
He paused and looked at the paper. He frowned. "This was yesterday. Wait, do I know you?" he asked. I looked at him and shrugged. "Yeah! You're Derek!" he said.
"Please don't call me that, my name is Slimer49'r! I gotta go to Bowser's Castle now, bye!"
We left and went out on the main road to Bowser's Castle. We saw two Koopatrols standing by the entrance. They looked big and powerful, the sun glinting off their armor, their spears held high.
"Halt, who goes there?!" they asked.
"Does this answer your question?" I pulled out my guns and shot two lazers at the guards, but they blocked it with their spears.
"Attack!!!" The Koopatrol jumped into the air and slashed at me.
For an armored Koopa, he was surprisingly quick. I jumped back and brought out a granade. "Take this!"
BOOOM!!! When the dust cleared they were still standing.
"Oh, man!" I said. The armor was incredibly thick. I took out my Bazooka. SHHHOOOOM!!! One was knocked back, but the other one lunged at me. He stopped in midair and started to twitch. "Huh?" I looked behind me and saw Mewtwo90 concentrating. The Koopatrol was flung far into the air. I pulled out my blades and sliced him to pieces.
"That takes care of that," I said. We entered the castle to find my brother....
Chapter Thirteen: The Required
MARIO
"Mario, do you wan't to play some tennis?" Peach asked me. It was a bright and sunny day, and the birds were singing.
"Okay."
We went out to the tennis court. "First serve!" Peach called. We played and then finished, Peach beat me 9 to 4. "Yay! I win!" Peach said.
"Good game, Peach." She grinned.
The wind was getting faster, and it was getting colder. "Do ya wanna do somethin' else?" she asked me.
"Like what?" I asked back.
"Do ya wanna kiss me?" She giggled. I blushed.
"Well, okay."
I leaned in to kiss her, but suddenly the sky grew dark. A sinister cloud was forming in the sky. "Aah! Mario, What's happening?" she asked. Then a bolt of lightning hit Peach. "AAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUGHHH!!! She fell to the ground. She wasn't breathing.
Then, I felt a pulse. She moved. "Mario..." she groaned in an inhuman voice. "All your fault... Why didn't you save me...?" She wrapped her hands around my neck.
"Peach, I- I didn't mean..." I couldn't breathe.
"You killed me....Now I'm going to kill you!!!"
"AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
I woke up in a sweat. I looked around me. There were several Toad doctors around me.
"WHERE IS SHE?!" I screamed. "WHERE IS PEACH?!" I looked at one doctor ferociously.
"Calm down, Mario! You need rest!" He tried to hold me down but I was too strong. At that moment the TV flashed on. Smithy was on it.
"Hello Mario, if you have receive this message it means I have captured your brother, your pet, and your girlfriend." He drew out the last word like a child enjoying a very sweet candy. "Do not worry, they are alive. You must come to my ship. I want to destroy you with my own hands. In order to get to my ship you must find three ancient objects: a silver cup, a dark crown, and a crystal telescope. The first item is on Yoshi's Island. When you have got it, I will contact you." The TV switched off.
"Yoshi's Island..." I said. "My home..."
