Melodies Forever

"I can't stand this anymore." Tech groaned as Skystice kept throwing the motionless Ribbon around as if he were made for juggling. "KNOCK IT OFF!!!" Tech screamed as Skystice then continued carrying Ribbon in a normal fashion. They reached a small brick building. It could have been considered a cabin, but it was made out of brick instead of wood, ot that it was an important fact, but it did look quite small. Then again, they could always build on to it if they weren't so lazy...

"Alright. This is his cabin, and well, sometimes mine if I don't do anything stupid inside of mine." Tech started to laugh as Skystice got a mischievous look in his eye.

"Like doing what? Hehe..." Skystice began to laugh furiously as Tech resisted the urge to slap him.

"You're very disgusting... I thought Lord Chaos programmed you with stuff he wanted you to know..." Tech felt slightly embarrassed as he turned around to make sure Skystice wasn't ripping Ribbon's guts out or anything of the sort. "Actually, I said I am Tech. I build different weapons. I even built my own gun, called the Astro Gun. It can fire plasma that will affect enemies in different ways. If they were humans, it would slowly eat their skin away with acid. Or even better, I can fight off ghosts as well! The plasma I receive is actual stardust that happens to have the chemical make-up of plasma. This means it can affect anything, living or dead!" Tech grinned as Skystice nodded his head.

"How does it handle ghosts?" Skystice asked as if he were a little child, but then again he couldn't be considered one because his appearance was that of a man in his early twenties. He also knew certain things, such as how to rip guts out...

"It, well, I'm not sure, although I did research on ghosts and what materials can hold them down and neutralize their powers. It's actually really fascinating!"

"Oh great. I'm surrounded by nerds!" Skystice groaned as Tech punched him. They were still standing outside the cabin as Tech pulled out a single key. It was an ordinary key that shined when hit by light.

"Whoops, wrong one," Tech mumbled, remembering that this one was radioactive. He knew because the moment he said that, he seemed to be fumbling with something in the air. It was solid, but not visible.

"Do you have an imaginary key or something?" Skystice had a confused look on his face as Tech smiled.

"Invisible! This one is radioactive. Believe me, I once used it on my cabin and the entire thing almost blew up." Tech grinned as the lock clicked, and he turned the doorknob to step in.

"So? What's it for?"

"A weapon, you dunce."

"Oh. It's still weak, though. Anything made out of plasma itself would surely have the chemical stability to absorb the blast from the key."

"I never thought of that! I can use that as a weapon idea!"

"See, I'm smarter!"

"You love competition, don't you?"

"Yep. Now lets get this loser into a bed of some sort." Skystice walked into the house following Tech, two pairs of eyes watching them.

"They're smart. I admit, plasma sounds dangerous. Especially to me..." Teela whispered under her breath as Karma nodded.

"I'd hate to be a ghost. Good thing we're not." Karma smiled as Teela just turned away.

"Yeah. Right. Let's just go..." Teela then moved silently as Karma followed. They moved towards the window as Teela had a worried expression on her face, although she continued to think. Karma had her eyes wandering around the area, wondering where exactly she was.

"Wow, looks very nice," Skystice said sarcastically as Tech rolled his eyes.

"We don't hang out here very often. There are plenty of other parties on other missions. It's just that he thinks my group is best for the job, and it's a very important job. Although he must be assigning you to Ribbon and me, so I guess we should get to know each other."

"Yeah, yeah. Just wake up pretty-boy here, and let's get going."

"Pretty-boy? What type of insult is that?"

"It's a compliment of some sort. I bet if he went walking down the street, the girls would be all over him!" Skystice argued as Tech muttered a few things to himself.

"Rigghtt. We've got a lot more to worry about! Lord Chaos sending us on his top mission! He's got others, as I said, but this is his biggest! IF WE FAIL, HE'LL KNOW! He might let others slide by if it's a smaller mission, but, this is his top priority... which means if I fail, if we fail, he'll kill us all."

"You people have no idea what a real life is about, do you?" Skystice muttered as Tech scowled at him, wondering how someone could be so careless.

"Well, this is the life I chose. This is the life we all chose, and if we try to turn back, we'll get killed. Survival of the fittest is the law of life. You live to die, and you die when there is someone greater on the food chain. And today, lunch is a target. Alright, perhaps I don't eat flesh and blood, but anyway. You get it don't you?" Tech questioned as Skystice set Ribbon down, finally...

"Yeah, I get it. You and all that mumbo jumbo is stupid," Skystice complained as Tech didn't grow angry. Instead he wondered whether it was possible for there to be someone more annoying than himself...

"Anyway. Ribbon will wake up on his own. I want to go trash hunting." Tech then grumbled, knowing he didn't have his cartridges to load into his Astro Gun. " I think I left a few here..."

"What? Left what here?" Skystice asked as Tech looked to the dresser on the other side of the room. The cabin only had two rooms: one large living room, and a bathroom. You had to make do with what you had, or waste your own time building more onto it.

“The cartridges are the ammo for my gun.”

Tech opened the drawer and pulled out two round bottles that were each glowing. One was a green color, and the other was clear. There were several more in there, but he left them.

"Why are you leaving the rest of them?"

"I won't need them," Tech said smartly as Skystice opened the drawer back up and pulled a yellow one out. He shoved it into Tech's hand as Tech just seemed to not really care.

"What's the yellow one do?"

"It shoots star energy. It's useful for long range shooting, and best of all..." He then held the gun up to Skystice's forehead. "Run, and I'll show you what happens."

Skystice ran, and he ran so fast, only a blur was visible.

"What is up with you freaken demons with speed?" Tech mumbled as he held the gun up, and pulled the trigger. It shot yellowish things that started to chase Skystice, who had already headed outside.

"Why would he threaten to shoot his own teammates?" Teela whispered as Karma shrugged.

"Quiet! Just watch!" Karma hissed as Teela obeyed. They continued to watch.

A flash of light was chasing around a blur as Tech stepped out into the light. He leaned against the doorway looking expectantly into the world as if he wanted it to bow down to him.

"Having fun yet?" Tech yelled as the light started to speed up. Skystice was slowing down now as he jumped up. It followed him up as he begun to run again.

"NO! This is stupid!" Skystice growled as he decided to attack the raging star energy.

Skystice started to rub his hands together as it started to generate a lot of friction. He started to move his hands against each other faster. He suddenly stopped as his hands were then ablaze.

"I wouldn’t try that," Tech yelled, grinning as Skystice gave him an aggravated look. Skystice ignored him and threw the fireball at the star energy. It practically ate the fireball; Skystice seemed devastated.

"H-How do you stop it?" Skystice yelled as he started to speed up. It was a raging ball of fire, and now Skystice was really afraid.

"I told you so. The energy is made out of stardust! Which would mean it contains some of the chemical particles from a star, also known as plasma. Plasma particles of a star are always on fire until the star dies! DUH!!!" Tech yelled as Skystice slapped his head.

"WELL! THAT'S BAD FOR ME! I LIKE FIRE!" Skystice then remembered he had other attacks. "ALRIGHT THEN! TIME TO TAKE IT UP A NOTCH!!!" He then began to run even faster, friction building up all around him.

"Well, you certainly are turning into a burning demon," Tech muttered as he laughed. "Why don't you just admit defeat?"

"Will it stop this thing?" Skystice yelled, wondering how he could possibly stop this raging energy.

"No, but..." Tech answered as Skystice then stopped, and jumped really high. The energy plasma followed as Skystice then was on fire as well.

"Watch this," was all Skystice could say before he began to run so fast, he could have been considered invisible, although the fire was still glowing around him from here to there. He began to run around wildly in one circle as dirt started to kick up and all around. The wind was rising greatly, and Tech was wondering what this fool was doing.

"I hope you're not trying to stop my attack, because it's not going to work," Tech yelled as Skystice's winds were now getting even more noticeable. It began to swirl around in a tornado-like motion, the fireball starting to diminish and go up into the air.

"YOU WERE SAYING?" Skystice yelled back as he decided to start to run even faster. It would probably be his limit, but he could do it. He turned it up one more notch as the winds then could have been classified as a tornado. The flames of the plasma attack began to wither and die down. It wasn't visible, but Skystice was smiling an achieved smile. He hadn't had this much of a contest in a long while, and even so, he had still conquered it. The last of the flames then died down as they flickered and were then completely smothered by the dirt that was picked up by the wind.

Skystice then began to slow down as he was noticing it was very hard to control the winds when they were at a greater speed than he was. He started to run a little faster, trying to keep up with the winds as they slowed down. When the wind slowed down another notch, so did he.

"This is great exercise!" Skystice yelled as Tech rolled his eyes. He was pretty impressed with how Skystice demolished the attack.

The last of the wind and dirt settled as Skystice was breathing heavily.

"Wow, that was a good attack, but even still, I conquered it." Skystice smiled as Tech did as well.

"Alright. Want to try another?"

"No. Lord Chaos said to go find the trash. Whoever it is, can't face us."

"Rigght," Karma smart-remarked as she looked to Teela. Teela nodded, knowing what she was thinking.

"Let's do this," Teela yelled as they both jumped out of the bushes. Skystice was already looking at them. Tech turned to face them, and growled as he looked to Skystice.

"That's the trash. And oddly, it just so happens those are the ones we're supposed to get." Tech smiled an evil grin as Skystice was ready for a fight.

"I have to warn you..." Teela smiled as she looked at Tech. "You can't defeat us."

"What makes you so sure, pathetic Yoshi?" Tech mocked as Karma laughed.

"Look who looks ridiculous! You look like a fool! Birdo hands? Green skin? Human everything else?" Karma laughed as Tech tried not to let it get to him, but he then remembered his past.

Flashback

"WHAT A PATHETIC WANNABE!!! HA!" A Koopa had been making fun of a younger Tech. This Tech looked about fourteen or fifteen. The Koopa had his friends pointing and laughing as well.

"I CAN HAVE DREAMS!!!" the younger Tech yelled as one of the bigger Koopas came over and pushed him down on the ground. "UH!"

"What a weakling," the leader Koopa yelled as they all walked over to him and started to beat him up. Tech was being brutally injured, and he would never forget that.

"YOU'RE A FREAK, AND A LOSER! HAHA! THERE IS NO PLACE FOR HYBRIDS ON PLIT! SO JUST DIE! THERE IS NO POINT IN YOU BEING ALIVE!" one of the other Koopas yelled as they started to walk away. Tech was left there, sprawled out all over the ground. He had even had cuts from a knife on his arm, the red blood seeping all down his arm.

End Flashback...

"SHUT UP! I'LL KILL YOU, you... hybrid." Tech then stopped shouting as Karma stared at him. "Emotions are for the weak."

"Let’s get them."

"Are you sure you want to try to attempt to take me to that Lord Chaos of yours?" Teela asked as Skystice and Tech just looked at each other.

"Of course," Tech answered as Teela stepped forward.

"Karma, go. I can take care of this."

"T-Teela! No. I'm fighting too!"

"Don't be afraid. Go get Vara, all right? I'll take care of these two."

"All right. If you insist."

"And don't get killed..." Teela mentioned as she turned her attention back to Skystice and Tech. "So, boys. Let's rumble!!!" She then held out her blade and whipped it around dramatically. In her hand, she held the two Dice of Fate. Her hands were firmly holding the small dice, and it seemed as if she would never let go...

Time: 2:34 PM

"What do you guys want? WHO ARE YOU?" the deep-voiced male questioned as Reema held her axe over his head, ready to bring it down at any time. The two men were not able to move because Venoma had them floating in the air.

"Your worst nightmare," Ludwig answered coolly as Venoma turned around and rolled his eyes. He looked up to watch Chirpy gracefully flying in the air, its wings seeming as if they were one with the sky.

"Alright then." Reema paused, a very scary look on her face. "So. I'm the boss here, and if you don't answer me, I kill you. Got it?" Reema asked, walking away from the two men. She turned, both men nodding feebly.

"Tell us about Lord Chaos," Venoma smiled simply, feeling very pleased with the way they had both men stranded helplessly in the air. It was his second power he received after his fangs, and it proved quite useful at times. Although, sometimes he couldn't control it...

"Sure," the lighter voice responded. But Ludwig had a better question.

"First, what are you names?"

"My name is Wreckless." The deep-voiced one grinned as Reema scoffed at the name. She let out a small laugh as Wreckless just scowled at her.

"And you?" Venoma walked over to the other man. He rolled his eyes, and sighed.

"The name's Shot," Shot mumbled. Reema viewed this name a little more seriously.

"Alright then-"

"Can we ask you a question?" Wreckless asked a little shyly as Reema still scowled at them.

"What?"

"I mean him." Wreckless pointed to Venoma.

"Sure," Venoma replied as Wreckless cleared his throat.

"How are you holding us in the air like this without showing any trouble controlling it?"

"I have a lot of practice. And it's not fully controllable, I assure you. I can bring zombies out of the ground with just a little thought of it..." Venoma mumbled, wondering why they'd be so interested. "As to how I'm doing it, well, you don't want to know." Venoma had a growl in his voice as Shot sort of just laid back and relaxed.

"Now, anyway. Tell us about this Lord Chaos. Start with his mission, and tell us why he took our friend," Reema insisted harshly as Wreckless nodded.

"So you're the group of kids that Ribbon almost lost too. You must be strong for, ah, never mind. Lord Chaos is our leader. If we fail, we die. If we disobey, we die. Do anything wrong, we die. Although, it's just to get rid of traitors, and so we don't blame him. Usually, he will only kill you for failing a mission, if it's one of his more important ones..."

"I see. And why did he send people to take our friend?" Venoma asked as he started to make Shot go around in really fast circles.

"You want the entire plan?"

"Yes." Venoma paused. "I want everything you know about his plans, alright?"

"If we answer, will you let us go?"

"Not until we get our friends back," Reema snapped quickly before Venoma was going to answer yes.

"Lord Chaos wants your friend because she's a sage. If he uses the magic located within the Forest of Illusion, Lord Chaos can use it to sacrifice the sage. If he does that, he can get such extreme power, you probably wouldn't believe it. He will also destroy Cookie Mountain, and that will-"

"Throw off the balance of Plit's natural alignment. The wind will reverse, and the waters will get upset from having to go in the reverse direction. The planet will start erupting from the gravitation being disrupted, and it all will equal disaster for Plit," Reema said simply, leaning back against the trees.

"Yes. He had been told this by his leader."

"Tell me more about this leader of his. Who is it?"

"We don't really know that, the place, and the group. All we know is that they're called the Seraphin Seven. Chaos is in a race against another guy from the seven, and their leader is the one who supposedly created Plit," Shot replied simply, telling them everything he knew.

"You people are weak, just to let you know. If I was captured, I would have given them all the wrong answers."

"We're not trying to get killed, you know," Wreckless replied crudely as Shot smiled.

"And who's to say we told you the correct answers?" Shot replied as Reema then smiled a clever smile, knowing she was in a mischievous mood.

"Because I'm psychic, and you know that it means I can read your minds." Reema had lied, Shot and Wreckless buying every word.

"Then why'd you ask us all those questions?" Wreckless asked, his face looking stupid again.

"The other two would like to know," Reema shot back with an answer quickly as Venoma looked to the two.

"How come they couldn't ask you?"

"Because she's not trustworthy," Venoma answered simply as he then remembered that they had to hurry.

"Where would the girl that this Ribbon grabbed be located?" Reema decided they had enough info. Ludwig looked at Venoma as he made them twirl around in a complete circle.

"Please don't do that..." Shot pleaded as Venoma rolled his eyes.

"Fine. Just answer the question."

"Perhaps in the dungeon, or even in the lab. We can't be sure, we aren't on that mission. Currently, we are to kill a certain person who escaped from the group called the Union of Guns, but that wouldn't concern you..." Wreckless answered as Venoma turned to Ludwig and Reema.

"I want you guys to go search for her. I have to stay here, and keep these guys busy..." Venoma then looked at them.

"You're strong," Shot muttered as Venoma shook his head.

"No, I just have a certain talent for doing things. Believe me, I'm weak if you fight me physically..." He then looked to Reema and Ludwig again.

"I thought that was Teela and Karma's job?" Ludwig asked as Venoma shook his head.

"No, we came here to rescue her, and that's what we're going to do."

"Alright, but if I get killed, I'LL HAUNT YOU!" Reema threatened as Venoma rolled his eyes for the countless time. Most of this was amusing him.

"Whatever. Just go. And Ludwig, if you die, I think Teela is going to kill me for it. So... keep alive, even if it costs you your arm and a leg!"

"Wow, such inspiring words to hear before marching into something that will get you killed..." Ludwig grumbled sarcastically. Venoma didn't laugh, and Reema just started to walk away. "HEY! WAIT UP!"

"Shut up and hurry up, Koopa boy," Reema told him as Ludwig raced to catch up. They began walking away, Reema running, as Venoma sat down and began to think.

Time: 3:27 PM

"I can't believe she wanted to fight alone... Why would she put her life out for me? Is my life that meaningful?" Karma questioned herself aloud as she continued running into the forest. "Why?"

She continued to run, trying to find Ludwig, Venoma, and Reema. She then ran face-first into someone, or something...

"Karma!" Reema observed as Karma smiled.

"There you are." She then looked around. "Where's Venoma?"

"Where's Teela?" Reema asked as Karma rolled her eyes.

"Do you always have to make things hard? She's... in a fight..." Karma then had a somber, yet serious look on her face.

"YOU LEFT HER?"

"No. She told me to run, and her words were very persuasive," Karma replied as Ludwig emerged through the brush.

"Hey, Karma! Good to see you're alive. Where's Teela?"

"I just explained that she's out there risking her life for all of ours."

"Let me ask you something." Reema paused, the dark and fierce clouds that seemed to always be in her eyes receding. " f you had to sacrifice just one life, for a whole lot of other lives, would you do it?"

"What makes you ask such a thing?" Karma asked as she crossed her arms stubbornly.

"Well, just think about it. When you get your answer, tell me. I'm always open for a good conversation. Anyway, we were coming to help you find Vara because I think we've got all the information we need around here. We've got their plan, the method they’re using, and everything. Venoma, Ludwig, and me had hostages, so Venoma had them taken care of."

"Is he killing them?" Karma asked seriously, a tinge of worry in her voice.

"What do we care? They're enemies." Ludwig laughed a little carelessly as Karma nodded.

"Oh no... I think Teela is rubbing off on me.."

"Yeah, I know what you mean..." Reema added as Karma started to laugh.

"We need to go get Vara. Clear?" Karma asked as Ludwig and Reema nodded.

"Yeah, but there are only three of us! None of us have magic or anything!" Ludwig argued, figuring that they would have tons of their troops searching the place for just the three of them. He could tell that this was only going to result in death.

"Teela said that if you're not sure of something, don't do it. She's putting her life on the line just to protect Ludwig, me, and more recently, Vara! This is insane. And I'm one hundred percent sure that we can do this!" Karma argued, waving her arms around wildly.

"I'm in, all the time. No matter what the odds are, if I die, I die. It's no big deal, just as long as I'm remembered," Reema said with a sorrow tone that was still, in some twisted way, reassuring.

"All right, but if any of us dies, I think Teela may think she failed or something."

"We're not going to die then. It's that simple! WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?" Karma shouted as Ludwig nodded in comprehension.

"You're right. Lets do this!" Ludwig then held up the bow and arrow, knowing it would be weak because he never was very good with it...

They then headed through the shrubbery, Reema leading them towards the castle.

Time: 3:27 PM

"PERISH!" Skystice yelled as Teela shook her head.

"NO." Teela didn't yell, rather she kept calm. All the adrenaline raced through her body, her heart beat racing wildly. She was jumping over shots of plasma, and fire blasts from Skystice. It was almost impossible to attack while defending at the same time.

The fear inside of Teela only raised the speed she was zipping around with wildly, her heart throbbing more and more as she shot some more palm blasts that missed. It wasn't helping that she was only using one hand.

Skystice then waved his hands around in some sort of odd motion, the entire ground becoming ice. "DEATH NEEDLE OF ICE!" Skystice yelled as an entire line of icicles came out of the ground. Teela had gone transparent, each one passing harmlessly through her, although she still had to dodge because of Tech's plasma shots.

Tech then leaned over by Skystice. "Corner the defense, and have the affect shock," he whispered in a command that Skystice understood.

"Alright. Lets corner the rat..." He then brought rays of ice all around, and Tech shot plasma all over them. Teela looked around, realizing that they were going to box her in.

Teela hovered up, Skystice then shooting an ice blast at her. Her feet were then frozen as she passed right through it.

"I'm not just fire. I guess my name could be Skystice, the pinwheel demon of elements..."

Tech then aimed at Teela, but she shot one palm blast at him. It knocked the gun out of his hands as he decided to take another approach.

Tech pulled out a simple metal gun. He looked at Skystice, who was still trying to fire ice beams at Teela; each one was dodged.

"Yo, Sky! Time to light this baby on fire!" He then fired a bullet as Skystice shot a fire blast at it. The fire engulfed the bullet, and it became a flaming ball. Teela went right through it as it hit the ice behind her, scorching it to a liquid once more.

Skystice then appeared to be smiling an evil smile. "She won't be dodging for long." He paused, pulling out a coin of some type. "All the magic was basic. You want weaponry? Haha..." He then tossed the coin, Teela staring at it simply. Tech then fired a plasma blast at her, and it hit her.

"AHHH!!! THIS IS BURNING!!!" She then shimmered, her body glowing with a tremendous amount of energy. Her eyes were glowing red as she fell the ground, her power growing immensely. Teela then collapsed as Tech laughed.

"You practically read my mind..." Skystice joked as Tech laughed as well.

"No, I actually thought you were going to attack. What is that coin anyway?"

"It actually is a weapon. Although, I could only use my weak attacks because we were told not to kill her. That's kind of hard because all our attacks are way to powerful, and they were made for killing anyway."

"Yeah, I have to say I'm impressed she's not dead because of the plasma..." Tech then looked at Teela. Her body was on the cold icy ground, motionless. She was glowing a red color that was sort of like a heartbeat. It flickered on and off, her skin being eaten away by the acid, slowly of course. She was still holding on to the Dice of Fate that just seemed to cling to her.

"I think I should wash the plasma off," Skystice mentioned as he held up his hand. A blasting shot of water came out. All of the green plasma on Teela's skin seemed to evaporate away.

"Now what?"

"We take her to Lord Chaos, of course," Tech answered simply as he walked over to Teela and grabbed her by the feet.

"Are you sure she won't suddenly wake up?" Skystice asked as he roughly grabbed her by the arms and threw her body over his shoulder. "She's light..."

"She's a ghost, what'd you expect?"

"No, she's not a ghost. Didn't you see how her skin had steam coming from it? That was a sort of vapor that will happen when your skin in burning. I think you sort of neutralized her powers, and still caused pain..."

"That's a reasonable prediction. Now let's go."

"That was fun, and she was quite a contest. Although that wasn't even a fourth of our power." Skystice and Tech then began to walk back to the castle, Teela simply laying on Skystice's shoulder. She seemed lifeless, the red energy still pulsing and not being noticed.

Time: 3:33 PM

"This is not my day," Reema quoted simply as Ludwig sighed.

"Where are we going?" Karma asked as she continued following Reema. "And why are we following you?"

"Well, our hostages-"

"Did you get their names?" Karma questioned, knowing that if they at least had their names that they would be able to talk about them...

"Wreckless and Shot."

"Wow, Wreckless Shot. That sounds like a battle technique..."

"Yeah, well, we learned a lot about Lord Chaos as well. He is planning to use Vara in some sort of ritual. They said something about the Forest Of Illusion's magic-" Ludwig answered as he was cut off by Reema.

"It's called Illusion Magic. It controls the balance of things, including the balance between life and death," Reema answered as she glanced around. "We also found out that they supposedly have tons of troops, and whatever they call their fighting people. I guess the people are split into parties."

"This Illusion Magic controls the balance of things? Then why would they want Vara?" Karma asked once again as Reema laughed.

"I don't know. The only way they could perhaps be able to control this magic is if the stinkin' sage of the power is used as a sacrifice in the ritual thing."

"Vara..." Karma pieced it together, knowing that this was going to be catastrophic.

"Why would he want to ruin the balance of life? What is it?" Ludwig questioned as Reema let out a small laugh.

"I thought you'd know already. You know how people are born, and sooner or later they die?"

"Yeah, but I thought your Fate controlled that," Karma added as Reema shook her head.

"It does, but I'm talking about how many people are living, and how many people die." Reema paused. "The balance of how it all is. If too many creatures and people die then the planet will lose all life. And if too many people are living, well, I guess that's just overpopulation." Reema then looked behind them to see if they understood. "Get it?"

"Sort of. Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Although, why would the stupid fairy that Teela was talking about, tell her to come here and protect me?" Karma asked as Reema shrugged.

"I guess it's just because the balance is going out of control. People are dieing everyday now because of some wreckless shooting or other causes. Sometimes I wonder what is going to happen to Plit." Reema then paused. "Either that, or you're just special..."

The three started to laugh as Reema stopped. "Alright. You all ready?"

"What are we going to do?"

"Charge into the castle, of course." Reema smiled as she looked at their faces.

"I'm not sure about this..." Ludwig muttered as Reema laughed.

"What do you want to do then?"

"I want to go get Teela, and make sure she is with us. Venoma should be here as well. That way we at least have some magic alignment instead of just physical strength. You know what physical strength compared to a gunshot would be?" Karma asked as Reema thought for a moment.

"Ah, you've got a point. At least someone has a brain... Too bad it's Teela who I have to work with." Reema laughed an awkward laugh as Karma just looked at her.

"Why do you hate her so?"

"I thought I explained this... or not. In the village we were both born and raised, she killed three people."

"I doubt one hundred percent that Teela would do that. And I hardly know her..." Ludwig scoffed as Karma laughed as well.

"Right! Teela would never kill anyone."

"Then what is she doing while she's fighting, as you said she was, right now?" Reema then proved a point to Karma.

"Yeah, but she'd never just kill three innocent people!" Karma argued as Reema shook her head.

"What makes you so sure?" Reema paused. "How long have you known her?"

"Not even a year." Karma then had a look of sorrow in her eyes. "And she only comes to visit every once in a while..."

"And what is she doing out in the world?"

"Exploring!" Karma's face lit up as Reema sighed.

"Ah, fine. Believe what you want, but I know she killed those people!"

"Did you see her?" Ludwig asked smartly as Reema's face looked blank.

"Um, no. Not exactly..."

"See? You believe what you hear. I bet Teela's parents know she didn't do it! And Teela can say she didn't do it!"

"And what would make you believe what anyone says?"

"Again, did you see it?" Ludwig started to sound like he was interrogating Reema.

"I guess you do have a- no." Reema then paused to reconsider what she just said. "Well, I guess you really do have a point... Maybe she didn't do it..."

"See?"

"I still think she did it." Reema then started to walk back the way they came.

"Ah, it's hopeless," Karma noted as Ludwig nodded in agreement.

"Tell me about it..." He and Karma then started to follow Reema again as Karma soon took the lead.

Setting: Chaos Castle Dungeon, Time: ???

"Where is he?" Tech asked, Skystice still keeping an eye on the motionless Teela.

"Ah, very well done, Tech. Skystice as well..." Lord Chaos materialized out of thin air, catching Tech and Skystice off-guard.

"Oh, um, thanks. She was a fight considering you told us not to kill her," Tech answered as Skystice laughed.

"Can we kill her now?" Skystice had a desperate look in his eye as Lord Chaos scoffed at his delight in wanting to kill.

"No. We have yet to lure the other trash here. Now, you have fulfilled yet another mission without fail. Since Ribbon is not yet awake I presume, you will have to go to our target anyway. The village should be ready by tonight, and that's when we'll strike. Got it?"

"Yes, but, what for?" Skystice asked stupidly as Lord Chaos just stared as the wall.

"First, let me take care of her." He then pulled out four metal bands, and threw them at Teela. Each one clasped an arm or a leg, and they held her tightly to the wall. The metal bands sparkled on Teela's wrists and ankles, and they didn't exactly look like something comfortable to be wearing...

"What are those?" Tech asked, somewhat amazed by the silver color of them.

"Just to stop her from getting loose. She won't be able to use any magic to escape, and her physical strength isn't even near as strong as those metal bands. Hahaha..." Lord Chaos laughed pointlessly as Skystice was still wondering what he was going to have them do.

"Anyway, what was it?"

"Well, you should know this already. I just want to destroy Plit." Lord Chaos then sat down on a nearby bench. On the floor sat a puddle of blood that didn't really make the dungeon all that more fantastic...

"And why would you want destroy Plit?" Tech muttered as Lord Chaos straightened up his posture.

"Why don't we go back to the main room and finish this conversation?" Lord Chaos stood up and started to stride back to the huge, bolted metal door that led back to the castle.

"Hm, all right. There has to be a point in Plit. Exactly what does wanting to destroy Plit mean?" Tech sort of complained as Skystice shrugged.

"And why would he want to?"

"How am I supposed to know? He only gave me half a brain!"

"Literally?" Tech asked, then laughed as he came up with a joke. "No wonder you're such an idiot sometimes!"

"Shut it. I didn't mean literally, I meant that I only know certain things. I've got no idea if I ever had any relatives, of if I perhaps am supposed to even have a past. I've got no memory of anything that happened to me, except that I was imprisoned in a very boring place that I was fighting against, and that I was released and I fortunately didn't have to have my body incinerate in another year..."

"What? Anyway, you had a past..." Tech then got a goofy and pathetic tone in his voice. "You were my sllaaavee!!!" He then started to run as Skystice chased after him.

"You are annoying... Why don't you grow up?"

"What? I am grown up! I've got fifty kids and ten wives!" Tech then started to laugh as he rounded the corner of the dungeon, and found Skystice already there.

"Did you not remember that most all demons have speed? Haha, and do you really have fifty kids and ten wives?"

"No, you dunce..." He paused before he started to walk off again. "Do I seem like the type to have that much time on my hands?"

"Whatever..." Skystice started to laugh as well as Tech. They walked out of the dungeon and shut the door.

"So, what are we supposed to be doing?" Shot asked seriously as Venoma appeared to be frustrated.

"I don't know. You can't do anything right now. I've got you guys trapped up there, and if you try to do anything, I can break your arms or anything else I please."

"Wow, they are strong. Perhaps they do stand a chance against Lord Chaos. But if so, what if they succeed, Wreck?" Shot asked Wreckless as Venoma laid back on the ground and stretched out in the sun. It was somewhat peaceful here, and it was a much better place than Kastle Koopa.

"Then we'll just go join Zyle!" Wreckless smiled, knowing what Shot was thinking.

"Are you insane? He'll think we're spies!"

"So? Look at Tech Ishiyama! He came from Zyle about five years ago, and Lord Chaos still doesn't know!" Wreckless argued as Venoma perked up out of thought, enjoying the fighting between the two. He really liked it here...

"Well, I think I'm gonna go for a walk." Venoma sighed as he started to walk away.

"What? How can you keep this thing working if you're away?" Wreckless asked, seemingly amazed.

"I'm not going that far." Venoma then got up and started to walk away, his footsteps seeming empty and forlorn in the lively world around him.

Venoma walked a little ways from the two he was keeping floated into the air, and finally found a log. He sat down on it, knowing what he came here to do.

Teela? Tell me you're all right?

...

Not again... ANSWER ME!!! Please?

... Help... Venoma... I-I-can't hold on. It b-burns...

Hold on Teela. I'll be there, no matter what the cost. You saved my life once, and now I'm going to save yours...

You were so... so kind. I only wish I could have gotten to know you a little more...

Teela, stop talking like that! You will get to know me better! You can survive, wherever you are... Where are you?

I don't know. I'm barely conscious, and I'm lucky to have these few more moments...

There was a pause as Venoma decided to go look for her. He could tell that her life was fading fast, and he would do all he could to stop it.

Momentine, Teela. Momentine...

Venoma then started to think. How was he going to get there? She couldn't open her eyes...

"Then I'll make her!" Venoma then realized that what he was going to do would probably release Shot and Wreckless from his energy clasps. It was going to be hard to have your mind in one place, and your energy in another. "I'll just have to try..." Venoma whispered, knowing he'd taken chances before and things always seemed to be all right. "Ah, Momentine..."

"V-Venoma... Momen-t--tine..." Teela whispered to herself, not really consciously there.

Teela couldn't feel her entire body, and all she felt were the burning feelings around her. The plasma may have been washed away from her skin, but it had completely demolished almost all her ghost power. It felt as if she were being burned from the inside out; all her body was burning. The only thing she could feel was pain, and her body seemed as if it were not there.

Teela was still glowing a red color, the silver bands still attaching her to the brick wall, along with the chains that were actually bolted into the brick. Her body just hung there, pulsing with the weird red glow. She could not feel anything at all except pain, and it felt as if she did not even exist. She was unconscious, and perhaps in a coma of some sort. Her mind only half existed in a way...
