So here is what has happened, Mario and Co. boarded a cruiseship only to find Bowser Jr. as the captain. You were probably left bewildered at the end because Bowser Jr. never showed up. In fact, what you don't know is that Bowser doesn't even know where Jr. is even though the ship docked. So where is he? You will find out. Wen left you in suspense at the end because Luigi hasn't even opened the chest yet.
Chapter 9: Treasure
Luigi: Oh boy, here goes nothing!
Toadsworth: Don't you mean something? Using nothing means you're doing nothing and...
Luigi: Hey! The chest won't budge!
Peach: Maybe it's locked.
Skeley: Of course it's locked. Who would keep a treasure unlocked?
Mario: But-a where is-a the lock-a?
Luigi: Mario is right, the lock must be on the inside.
Skeley: Don't ask me.
Peach: I have a question for you, Skeley, how did you defeat Bowser so easily?
Skeley: Um... I don't know.
Toadsworth: Ol chap, I think you do! And where is Bowser Jr?
Skeley: Umm... errr... FINE! Look, I work for Bowser. Bowser Jr. did arrive, but is probably hiding the key to the lock, which is under the chest.
Yoshi: Yoshi smell stuff.
Yoshina: Like what kind of stuff?
Yoshi: Bad stuff. Coming from up on that mountain.
Peach: But why would you defeat Bowser if you work for him?
Skeley: He faked us beating him. I told him that Jr. Would take care of the rest.
Yoshina: But this must be no ordinary key. Maybe it's some kind of... Hmmmm...
Yoshi: What?
Yoshina: Well... You see... This island looks kinda weird. The scary weird... I think what lies in this chest is not to be found. I think that Boos live on this island.
Peach: Why do you say that?
Yoshina: Well Boos can go through stuff, right? Well, maybe they hid something in this chest that only they can get to.
Toadsworth: I say, what would the hide so secretly?
Yoshina: That's the mystery!
Mario: Well then... We must find a Boo!
Skeley: Hey, is that a town up there on the mountain?
Luigi: Oh no, we don't need help from you, Skeley. We'll make it alone.
Skeley: Well ok, but come by if you need me.
Skeley leaves. Meanwhile, Bowser Jr. Is climbing the mountain.
Jr: Ha! I'm going to beat those Marios and claim the treasure myself! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
Mario: Anybody-a hear that?
Peach: Must be one of the Boos.
Luigi: I'm scared. Where is a vacuum cleaner when you need one?
Toadsworth: Isn't that mountain too high for an old man like me?
Peach: Nonsense, Toadsworth! Who saved me from the evil, wicked Jashou?
Toadsworth: Who is Jashou?
Peach: Um... You know, at the desert on a...
Toadsworth: Princess! Don't lie now.
Yoshi: No time to waste. Me go first, then Yoshina! You follow!
Mario: I should have an imaginary friend! CHEESE MAN! He'll fly into town and save the day... WOOP!
Luigi picks Mario up by the feet and
they start to ascend.
Chapter 10: Meeting the Locals
During their ascent, the Marios come across dead animals. But for some reason, there is not a mark on them. Finally they come across a village.
Mario: Finally!
Peach: Look at all the Boos!
Yoshina: I hope they have a beauty salon!
Yoshi: Yoshi not waste coins on beauty.
Yoshina: Oh my sweet Yoshi, always thinking of money!
Luigi: No time to waste. Find a Boo and let's leave!
They all walk up to a Boo.
Boo: Well hi there!
Peach: Hi. Look, there is a treasure and we need help opening it.
Boo: EEEEKKKK!!! NO!!!
The whole village gets quiet.
Toadsworth: Ok... I think we had bad timing...
The boos pick up the Marios and they are brought into a room. There is an elder Boo sitting behind a fortune ball.
Elder: So you say you need our help with the chest, ehh?
Mario: Yes-a!
Elder: Let me tell you all a story... It all started 50 years ago on this very day... A long time ago, there lived a king Boo. He was the most powerful and scariest. His power was so strong he killed all the weak Boos. Ever since we ran to this spot to hide. Yet he kept coming back to destroy us. So one day, he spread a dust across our village. When we saw it we knew it was poison, so we quickly ran to a hiding place. That is why you see dead animals on the road. They breathed in the gas. After all the dust vanished, he returned to search the area. Knowing this, we trapped his power in a bottle. Of course we did it by sneaking up on him. We put that bottle in a chest. You may wonder, can't he turn invisible and go through the chest? Well we took the power of invisibility from him. If that bottle is opened, he will gain his power back and destroy us all! But, we made a sacred altar; if someone were to place the bottle on that altar, all that is evil will be destroyed; or so the prophecy says. So we need your help. Take this fire and pour it on the chest. Doing so will release the bottle. You can follow this path to the altar. HURRY! He might return. It is the 50th year! Oh, and stop this brat who came and took my cane. I think his name was Yowser Jr. or something.
Peach: Yes, we'll keep that in mind. We shall return soon!
Toadsworth: I say, thank you!
Elder: Anytime. NOW I've made special arrangements to get you down the mountain quickly. SO BOO!!!
Everybody flies out the door and down the mountain to the chest.
Luigi: Shall we open it?
Mario opens the chest with the fire, slightly burning himself. Fog exits the chest, and a bottle is seen.
Yoshina: WOW!
Yoshi: WOWOWOWOWOW!
Mario: Hey, I can beat that... WOWOWOOWOWOWWOW!
Peach: BE QUIET!
Luigi: Now we must make it to the altar.
Finally they all make it to the altar with nobody around. Mario places the bottle on the altar.
Peach: Here we go!
Nothing happens. Except...
Toadsworth: I say, what is that noise?
King Boo pops out of the ground, which you were probably expecting.
King boo: Blooga Bloog! I would have made another entrance, but my power is lost.
Yoshina: EEEEKKK!
King Boo: Scream all you want. It only makes me stronger. I shall eat you all!
Mario: And to all a good night!
King Boo: Oh great. another retarded kid.
Mario: *sniff* ERRGGG!!!!
(Mario kicks the Boo and starts to just destroy him!
King Boo: Get him off me!
Everybody: GO MARIO!!! GO MARIO!!! GO MARIO!!! HOORAY!!!
Mario takes the Boo's crown. Then it flies onto the altar. A tornado appears on it.
Tornado: EVIL BOO. Because of your evil doing, you shall perish in eternal darkness.
The tornado sucks King Boo into it. All of a sudden, Bowser Jr. appears.
Jr: Um, hi guys!
Tornado: Jr. Because of your evil ways, you shall perish in eternal darkness!
Bowser comes running in.
Bowser: NO, JR! Wait for me!!!
Bowser runs in the tornado with Jr. Just then the place starts to break.
Peach: WE MUST GET OUT OF HERE!
The elder Boo comes in.
Elder: I heard a ruckus so I came to see you. I shall get you out of here. BOO!
They all fly out.
Luigi: Hey guys, look! The crown! And there is a number on it! It is 7... Wait, another code! WE HAVE ALL THREE!
Yoshina: Horray! Now Elder, thanks for everything. But is there anyway you can get us to Ice City?
Elder: Well I'll try.... GATHER ALL THE BOOS!
The Marios huddle up. The Boos get their breath and, WALA!
BOOS: BOO!!! BOO!!!
Now the Marios are on their way to Ice City. They have the numbers 5, 8, and 7, and of course the password is shiver. Now they will rescue the Green Stone! What will happen to Jr. and Bowser? Find out on the last edition of ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME!
