Blamed

By Marioman989

It all started with a crash! Smoke filled the air. A fire started but thank goodness Firekoopas were there to save the day. Some believed it came from Ludwig's lab. Most do not know.

Bowser: Ludwig, just get out.

Ludwig: But I didn't do it! You can't blame me for something you're not sure who did it. Besides, my inventions never blow up. Precision is the key.

Wendy: Look, even Roy saw it come from your room.

Roy: Um... Yes I guess so.

Bowser: See? We all agree. Leave at once and never come back.

Ludwig: You would kick out your own son just because of a stupid explosion?

Bowser: That stupid explosion is what caused my kingdom to crash. You've already destroyed my Koopa of the Year trophies.

Ludwig: But I didn't do-

Bowser: OUT!!!

Bowser slams the door shut.

Days and weeks pass with no sign of Ludwig. He never got a chance to explain his story. Who knows, maybe he was innocent. You'll have to wait 'til the end to figure that out. But really, did Bowser have to be so evil? Where are all the other Koopa Kids? Does Ludwig really stand a chance against Life on his very own? Will he forgive Bowser, or get revenge? All that Ludwig has are the clothes on his back (or shell) and the old inventions he happened to carry along with him. Will he survive, or will he perish in sadness and dispare?

Ludwig's Notebook:

Entry 1:
Dear Notebook,

I've been making my way through Dry Dry Desert. I came across a mouse named Mouser. He told me all the ins and outs of this place, hot in the day, cold at night. Maybe I can make inventions with all my surroundings. Yes, I'm very scared. This all would have never happened if evil Bowser had given me a chance. All hope is lost in my life. I might as well give up. Try being heartbroken without any regret or chance. I've seen signs about a town named Dry Dry Outpost up ahead. I've met some nice Pokeys. They said they worked for Tutankoopa (whoever he is). I've been robbed by some unfriendly Bandits. Life's rough being alone. If only I had a friend. If only I had a purpous at this desperate time of mine. Who knows, maybe things will turn out for the best! Or not. Time to take action, to enjoy life, this could be a moment of brightness. But what is my purpous? How will I take this action? Think Ludwig, THINK...

After a couple of Notebook entries, Ludwig finally makes his way to Dry Dry Outpost. Not knowing what awaits him, he carefully enters without a sound.

Mouser: Hello, and welcome to Dry Dry Outpost, Ludwig. Glad to meet you again.

Ludwig: Yes, I remember you. You're that mouse that gave me the information I needed about the desert.

Mouser: Yes, and I ask a request. Do you mind bringing this letter to Tutankoopa for me? He and I used to be friends until he decided to join the army of Chain Chomps. I would have helped him, but I am too frightened of Chain Chomps. This letter includes a note telling him to meet me at the large stone cactus in the desert. I want to see him again without those dreaded Chain Chomps. Please do hurry.

Ludwig: Yes, but how will I get to the palace?

Mouser: You can take this here tube to the entrance of the palace. Just walk inside and you'll see a mailbox. Just put it in there.

Ludwig: Yes, I guess I will. See you soon.

Ludwig takes the letter to the mailbox inside the palace. He stumbles across a Shy Guy on the way back.

Ludwig: Ouch... Oh, sorry...

Shyly: Shyly. The name's Shyly.

Ludwig: Sorry, Shyly.

Shyly: What were you doing in that palace anyway? Don't you know that the palace is home to the Koopa-eating Hungrytail?

Ludwig: What? This mouse named Mouser told me it belonged to the famous Tuktankoopa.

Shyly: Oh, he left years ago after being betrayed by Mouser. Oh, that cheapskate! I can't wait to get revenge on that mouse.

Ludwig: Why? What happened?

Shyly: He made my family believe I was a crook. They kicked me out of my house and I've been on my own for about a month now.

Ludwig: Really? I was kicked out too by my family over something I didn't do.

Shyly: Hey, kid, I like you. What's your name?

Ludwig: Ludwig. Ludwig von Koopa.

Shyly: Well, Ludwig, it looks like we share something in common. Why don't I come along with you from now on? You know, like friends. We both need a friend, right?

Ludwig: Yeah, I guess...

Shyly: Come on. You know you need a friend.

Ludwig: Of course I do. Come on, let's go pay a visit to Mouser.

Shyly: Right behind you.

Entry 2: A Friend
Dear Notebook,

I finally have a friend to share my thoughts with. We have already made some neat things. The Coco Tractor is my personal favorite. It is able to track anything within a 100 mile radius. Made from Coconuts and some wires from Dry Outpost. Got 'em for cheap too. 10 coins. What a bargain! I guess life is not so bad. We played a visit to Mouser the other day and turned him in to the police. I wonder what's going on at the Koopa Kingdom now. I hope they suffer for what they did. I might see them one day. Shyly and I decided to see what the Crystal Kingdom might be like. I heard my good pal Novel Pengy is still writing some good novels. Maybe he'll wright one about my adventure. This really has been an adventure for me. I'm actually getting closer to understanding the truth.

We go now to the Koopa family to see what they're up to.

Iggy: I'm really worried about Ludwig. Why, Dad, did you have to get rid of him? HE might have been telling the truth about him not doing it.

Bowser: *sigh* Look, Son. Some things in life just must be done. He's old now.

Iggy: But he's just a teen.

Bowser: I know that, but he should be able to take life on his own.

Iggy: But you don't understand! You chose to make him leave without investigating this happening.

Bowser: Look, it came from Ludwig's lab. End of discussion.

Iggy: But... Hmmmm...

Will Bowser ever show the least bit of regret? Let's see what Ludwig's up to.

Pengy: Yes, what an interesting story.

Ludwig: And that is why I'm here. I don't know if i'll ever get home. In fact, I don't even know how to get home. Every moment I spend out here, every moment i'm away from home, every moment i'm not around my own kind makes me feel depressed. I feel my IQ going down rapidly. Maybe I can go convince King Dad to let me back in the family.

Pengy: Worth a try. In the meantime, I'll write a story about your life.

Ludwig: Thank you.

Pengy: Good luck. I'm giving you all I can.

Ludwig leaves.

Pengy: Hmmm. Since when was I his friend? Oh well. Better get cracking! To the typewriter!!!

Entry 3:
Dear Notebook,

I met with Pengy the other day and asked him to make me a novel about my adventures alone. I plan on meeting with Bowser again to hopefully gain my life back into the family. I still think this is all nonsense. At least Shyly is here for company. Right now I'm walking down the path through Mushroom City. Bowser's kingdom is up ahead.

Shyly: Well, better whip up a speech. Only the right words will get Bowser begging for you to come back.

Ludwig: Yeah, I guess you're right. Hey, look!

Ludwig looks in a shop called Mushroom Books and Stuff. He stares at a book entitled "The Sad Adventure of Ludwig von Koopa." Noticing this, Ludwig runs up to buy a copy.

Salesperson: Oh, I feel so sorry for you. Here, have it for free.

Ludwig: Oh, why thank you! I am grateful that someone actually read the book.

Salesperson: Now hurry, go tell Bowser.

Ludwig: Yes, I shall.

Ludwig runs up to the steps of the castle. As he walks inside, not a sound is heard.

Ludwig: Hello!!! Anyone home?!

Ludwig goes everywhere until he finds a room where all the Koopalings are.

Ludwig: Um, hello...

Wendy: Oh, hello Ludwig.

Ludwig: Where is King Dad?

Roy: Well, a couple of days ago...

Iggy: Bowser regretted that he made you leave.

Wendy: So he ran away to a place we don't know of.

Ludwig: What?! This is unacceptable! It's an outrage!

Larry: Yes, we woke up one morning and he was gone. He only left a note that told us he left and may never come back because of depression.

Ludwig: King Dad would never do that.

Larry: I know. He also said while he was out, he may be looking for you.

Ludwig: Everyone in the Bowser Copter. We're going to find Dad!

Wendy: Impossible, he took the copter.

Ludwig: This doesn't add up. If he left for good, why would he take his copter?

Morton: Maybe he was kidnapped.

Ludwig: Perfect time for my Coco Tractor.

Lemmy: Then we'd better hurry.

They all leave in search of Bowser. Meanwhile, Bowser is being held at Boo's Mansion.

King Boo: Look. we captured you so we would become the most powerful.

Bowser: But... But...

King Boo: No! You can't stop us. By the way, I saw your son. He came here to make some inventions.

Bowser: Wait... So you're the one who blew up Ludwig's lab?

King Boo: Of course. But how did you figure that one out? I didn't give you one clue!

Bowser: I just felt like saying it.

King Boo: Anyway, we wanted to get rid of the oldest Koopaling since we could at least get rid of one.

Bowser: And I blamed...

King: Ludwig for something he didn't do.

Meanwhile, the Koopalings are in Forever Forest.

Wendy: Why did you bring us here?

Ludwig: Well I remember when I was starting an invention with the Boos. I overheard them talking about some kind of kidnap! I thought maybe Bowser was the one since King Boo always wanted to be the strongest.

Lemmy: Good thinking, Ludwig!

Ludwig: I always do good thinking.

The Koopalings enter the mansion. We now fade to Bowser.

King Boo: Now to finish you.

Bowser: How exactly?

King: Um... I don't know. Maybe throw you to Hungrytail.

Bowser: Is he that Koopa-eating freak?

King Boo: Yes.

Bowser: Uh oh...

Ludwig breaks through the door.

Ludwig: Sorry I'm late. Am I interrupting something?

King Boo: Yes you are. But there is no way you can defeat me. I am pure ghost. Nothing...

Stomps are heard. Just then, Tubba Blubba comes in.

Iggy: You were saying...?

King Boo: Oh shoot. EEEKKK!!!

King Boo is chased out of the building. Ludwig goes to untie Bowser.

Bowser: Sorry, Son, for not giving you a chance.

Ludwig: Oh, it's ok. I met Shyly here.

Shyly: Hello!

Ludwig: And I got my own book published. Nothing could be better.

Bowser: So that means you'll come back?

Ludwig: Are you insane? Of course I will!!!

Bowser: The Koopa family is back in business!

So that's the story of Ludwig. None knows what happened to King Boo, but what we do know is that the Koopa family is back to normal.
