Chapter 9: The Decision and the Takeover
Announcer 1: Previously on Magikoopa Duo Attack, Kamek and Kammy put up a good fight against the Mario Brothers and defeated them. They threw the Mario Brothers in the dungeon cells, and locked them up.
Announcer 2: Kamek's true plan was revealed to the Mario Brothers by Bowser. Bowser demanded the Mario Brothers become his slaves and give up the Mushroom Kingdom.
Announcer 1: What will happen next? How will the Mario Brothers regain their strength back? What ever will happen to the faith of the Mushroom Kingdom?
Announcer 2: Now back to the story.

Bowser: Well, I'm waiting for your answer. Become my slaves and give up the Mushroom Kingdom, or die.
Mario and Luigi are thinking about whether to obey Bowser. They have no choice, since without them, the Mushroom Kingdom will be taken over anyway. So they don't take a long time to give their answer.
Mario: We have no choice. We have to obey Bowser.
Luigi: I guess we have to.
Mario: All right, Bowser. You win.
Bowser: I thought you'd see it my way.
Luigi: Sorry, Peach.
Peach: It's ok. I don't think there is a way to get out of this one.
Bowser: All right. Now here is a list of what you guys are supposed to do as slaves. You will do these things tomorrow. Until tomorrow, you will stay here in the dungeon. Kamek and Kammy, come with me. It's time to takeover the Mushroom Kingdom. I think I'll bring my kids, too.
Kamek and Kammy: Yes, Lord Bowser.
Bowser: Hammer Brothers, guard the dungeon.
Hammer Brothers: Yes, sir!
Bowser, Kamek, and Kammy go into Morton's bedroom. They find Lemmy, Larry, Morton, and Ludwig playing together. They also found Roy, who is punching Iggy. Finally they Wendy, putting on her new makeup.
Bowser: Kids, I have good news! The Mario Brothers have decided to become my slave. They and Peach gave up the Mushroom Kingdom, and we will have control of the kingdom.
The Koopalings cheer.
Roy: The Mario Brothers are beaten up at last.
Lemmy: Now, we can boss them around!
Ludwig: I can now use supplies from the Mushroom Kingdom to help me invent.
Wendy: That's great, King Daddy. Uh... Is Princess Peach all right?
Bowser: Yes.
Wendy secretly sighs in relief.
Bowser: And you can all come with us.
All of the Koopalings: Yay!
Morton: This is great, awesome, splendid, amazing, Dad. Now I have more people to talk to and I can give my speeches to them and Peach's castle will have wedding cake and I can order the Toads to make me wedding cake to eat and I can use my megaphone on the Mushroomers and probably talk to the Mario Brothers all day and...
Iggy: SHUT UP!
Roy puts a sock in Morton's mouth.
Morton: MMMMMMPPHH!
Bowser: All right. Time to takeover the Mushroom Kingdom. C'mon, kids!
Bowser, Kamek, Kammy, and the Koopalings take Princess Peach to her dungeon again. They leave the castle and head toward the Mushroom Kingdom. The Hammer Brothers guard the dungeon outside the door. They leave the door open so they can hear them talking. While the Hammer Brothers are guarding the dungeon, the Mario Brothers are whispering to each other. They make sure that the Hammer Brothers do not hear them.
Mario: How are we going to get out of here, rescue Peach, and get back the Mushroom Kingdom?
Luigi: I don't know. I think this is hopeless, now.
Bowser, Kammy, and Kamek reach the Mushroom Kingdom. Larry has taken the sock out of Morton's mouth. They see the same old Mushroomer that chased the younger Mushroomers.
Mushroomers: That will teach those whippersnappers a lesson. Never play pranks on the old people. You never know when the unexpected will come into reality.
Bowser: What's his problem?
Kammy: I played a prank on him, and made him believe that the young Mushroomers did it.
Kamek: She didn't understood the definition of the word, trouble, that I meant.
Bowser, Kammy, Kamek, and the Koopalings make it to the front of Peach's castle. A Toad opens the front door of Peach's castle. He sees them and yells.
One of the Toads: AAA! IT'S BOWSER! RUN!
The Toads, Mushroomers, Toadette, and Toadsworth see them and run out of the castle. They all yell in horror.
Bowser: STOP!!! SHUT UP!!!
All of the people stopp.
Bowser: I NOW HAVE CONTROL OF THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM!
Toadsworth: How could that be? Mario, Luigi, and Peach must give up the kingdom in order for you to have control of the kingdom... NO! The Mario Brothers have failed! We're doomed!
Bowser: Brahahahahah! Things are gonna to be different here now that I'm in charge.
Larry: Yay! The Mushroom Kingdom is now taken over by all of us!
Lemmy: This must be the greatest day of our lives. We can now torture the Mushroomers and make them do our chores.
Ludwig: Wait! What about Dark Land, Dad?
Bowser: We have control of the route that connects Dark Land and the Mushroom Kingdom, now that we've taken over the Mushroom Kingdom. We just rule them both.
After Bowser takes over the Mushroom Kingdom, the Mario Brothers are sitting on the dungeon floor. Bowser and the Koopalings come into the dungeon.
Bowser: Mario, I think you want to hear this news that I have for you. The Mushroom Kingdom is now taken over by us. Don't worry, I already talked to Princess Peach.
Luigi: You will never get away with this!
Bowser: I believe I have.
Mario: Things won't go your way for long.
Bowser: I would like to see you try to stop me. Wait, you can't since you're weak forever.
Kammy come into the dungeon. She seems to have good news for Bowser.
Kammy: Bowser, I had good news. I finished decorating your room.
Bowser: That's great, Kammy, you old hag! Remember, Mario Brothers! Your chores will start tomorrow.
Luigi: We remember.
Chapter 10: Mario and Luigi's Chores
Mario and Luigi wake up in the morning. They are expecting Bowser to come get them and tell them to get started. After several minutes, Bowser and two Fire Brothers come in the dungeon. They look eager to start this morning by guiding the Mario Brothers to their chores.
Bowser: Ok. I'm sure that you read the list about what to do as a slave. Now these Fire Brothers will guide you to places where you need to clean. If I see any dirty spot, you will be given fewer breaks and more work. Now, time to start the day.
Luigi: What time is it?
Bowser: 10:59 AM.
First Fire Brothers: If you guys will follow us, we will lead you to the bathrooms. If you choose not to follow us, we will report to Bowser that you were not doing your duties. Understand?
Mario and Luigi: Yes.
Second Fire Brother: These is the bathroom.
First Fire Brother: It's bigger than the bathrooms in Peach's castle.
Mario: How did you know?
First Fire Brother: We saw the bathrooms one year ago. We were sneaking inside Peach's castle. Somehow our bladder was full, and we needed to go the bathroom. So we used Princess Peach's personal bathroom.
Luigi: Did you flush the toilet and made sure that the toilet was cleaned after you guys used it?
Second Fire Brother: Yeah.
First Fire Brother: Then we snuck out of Peach's castle and ran back to Dark Land.
Second Fire Brother: Anyway, you guys will clean the sink, floor, mirrors, tub, toilet, walls, ceiling, tables, toothbrushes, and all of the other things in the bathroom. Do not clean Wendy's toothbrush.
Luigi: Why?
First Fire Brother: You don't want to know. We saw Wendy teeth, and they're not pretty. Wendy doesn't want her toothbrush to be cleaned. She'll throw a tantrum if she finds out that her toothbrush was cleaned.
Second Fire Brother: Now get busy. We'll be back after 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Mario and Luigi start cleaning the bathrooms. Luigi has no trouble cleaning dirty things since he's always liked cleaning, and he cleans people's rooms all the time. Mario, however, is whining while cleaning the back of the toilet.
Mario: Ewwwww. I don't want to clean that.
Luigi: You have to, or else Bowser will give you a punishment.
Mario somehow finishes cleaning the toilet and the area around the toilet, although he whines a lot while cleaning. Mario goes to the bathtub and cleans.
Mario: Well... at least this is less dirty than the toilet. Uuugh, what is that awful smell?
Luigi: The Koopas must have must have made bad odors while taking showers.
Mario: I don't want to do this!
Luigi: Well do you want to switch chores with me?
Mario: I guess.
Mario and Luigi switch chores and continue cleaning. Luigi finishes cleaning the bathtub quickly. Mario is taking much more time to clean the toothbrushes that Luigi was cleaning before switching chores. Mario finishes cleaning the toothbrushes, except Wendy's toothbrush, of course. Luigi finishes cleaning the sink, and Mario finishes cleaning the floor. They both finish cleaning the walls and ceiling. Luigi finishes the mirrors and items on the walls. After several more minutes, the same Fire Brothers come inside the bathroom.
First Fire Brother: Nice work. You guys do a better job at cleaning the bathroom than our other slaves.
Second Fire Brother: You can now take a break. We brought you lunch, so eat up.
After 15 minutes, the Mario Brothers finish their lunch.
Second Fire Brother: Now, follow us and we will lead you to your next chore.
While the Fire Brothers are on their way, guiding the Mario Brothers to their chores, the Fire Brothers whisper to each other. Mario and Luigi cannot hear what they are saying.
First Fire Brother: (whispering) This is kind of fun, actually. I'm not a kind of a bossy person.
Second Fire Brother: (whispering) Me too. It sure is fun being nice to the Mario Brothers. But they have to do their chores, or else Lord Bowser will be furious at us for disobeying him.
First Fire Brother: (whispering) Well, here come their next chore.
The Fire Brothers guide the Mario Brothers to the throne room.
First Fire Brother: Your next chore will be cleaning the throne room.
Second Fire Brother: Lord Bowser is not here inside the throne room now.
First Fire Brother: The throne room must be sparkling clean or else Lord Bowser will be furious.
Second Fire Brother: Now get to work. We'll be back after six hours.
Mario: Why do we have more time cleaning this room?
Second Fire Brother: Isn't it obvious? The throne room is much larger than the bathroom.
First Fire Brother: Now please get to work.
The Fire Brothers leave the throne room. Mario and Luigi clean the chairs, windows, walls, ceiling, statues, floor, carpets, doors, and chandeliers. The Mario Brothers finish cleaning the throne room with two miniutes to spare, so they relax and sit on the chairs (they make sure their clothes are clean before sitting). The Fire Brothers come inside the throne room.
First Fire Brother: Again, nice work. You guys have really done an excellent job so far. Now take a break. We brought you dinner. Eat up!
The Mario Brothers finish their dinner in 16 minutes.
Second Fire Brother: Now we will lead you to your dungeon cell. We will see you tomorrow. Better be rested up for tomorrow.
The Fire Brothers lead the Mario Brothers to the dungeon cells. The Fire Brothers leave the dungeon and go back to their post. Mario and Luigi whisper to each other because there are Hammer Brothers guarding the dungeon outside the open door.
Mario: (whispering) Had any luck finding a way out of this?
Luigi: (whispering) Nope. Hey, you know, those Fire Brothers were nice.
Mario: (whispering) Yeah, I kind of knew that.
The Mario Brothers lay down on the rough seats and sleep.
Meanwhile, in the cell where she is being held captive, Peach is holding a walkie talkie and talking quietly so nobody will hear her.
Peach: Toadsworth, is everything going to plan?
Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, Toadsworth is holding the other walkie talkie. He is hiding in the bathroom and has locked the door, so nobody can hear or find him.
Toadsworth: Yes, Princess Peach. Hopefully this will help get Mario and Luigi out. But this will only work if the Mario Brothers know the magic word for that ray.
Peach: I know. Hopefully, Mario and Luigi will find out eventually.
Announcer 1: Well, it seems that everything is going Bowser's way. He took over the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi worked as slaves, and are having a rough time.
Announcer 2: Those Fire Brothers were nice and seem to want to help Mario out. It also seems that Peach and the Mushroom people have a plan that might help out, if they can find out the magic word for that ray and say it at the same time with Kamek and Kammy in the same room.
Announcer 1: And we know that magic word. Kamek said that the magic word is cheese. Will Mario and Luigi find out the ray's secret? If so, how will they trick Kamek and Kammy into saying it with them?
Announcer 2: Stay tuned for Magikoopa
Duo Attack and find out what will happen to the Mario Brothers. I'm sure
that something will go right for the Mario Brothers. They may have a chance,
or they may not. Stay tuned.
Chapter 11: Unexpected Allies
Announcer 1: Previously on Magikoopa Duo Attack, the Mushroom Kingdom was taken over by Bowser. Mario and Luigi were doing chores inside Bowser's castle as slaves.
Announcer 2: However, at the ending of the previous chapter, Peach and the Mushroom people seemed to have a plan that we don't know of.
Announcer 1: Toadsworth said that the plan would only succeed if the Mario Brothers finds out the magic word for the ray.
Announcer 2: In this part, there are unexpected twists for the Mario Brothers, and maybe Bowser, too. Now continue on with the story.

The Mario Brothers wake up the next morning. They are rested up for their next chores. The same Fire Brothers come into the dungeon. They are rested up, too.
First Fire Brother: Well, time for your second day as slaves. I assume that you guys are rested up for another day.
Luigi: Yes.
Second Fire Brother: We'll lead you to your next chores. Now if you'll follow us...
The Fire Brothers guide the Mario Brothers through the hallway. Mario asks a question of the Fire Brothers.
Mario: What time is it?
After Mario asks that question, they rin into Bowser, who is talking to Wendy. Bowser notices them, and tells Wendy something. Wendy grows excited and leaves the hallway.
Bowser: I see you Marios are getting ready for your second day as slaves. I think you should be getting used to this eventually. Wendy told me to take everyone to the Mushroom Kingdom and stay there for a day, so you guys won't be seeing me until evening. Fire Brothers, report back to guiding duties.
The Fire Brothers: Yes, sir!
Bowser walks away until the Fire Brothers and the Marios can't see him anymore.
Mario: Anyway, what time is it?
Second Fire Brother: 11:21 AM.
The Fire Brothers lead the Marios to the dining room. The dining room is a mess. The floor is covered with food stains. The table is covered with bits of food. The chairs are dirty and have ketchup on them.
First Fire Brother: There was a disaster in the dining room early in the morning. Your job is to clean the dining room, and make it sparkling clean. You guys put the dishes and plates in the kitchen over there. Understand?
Luigi: Yes.
Second Fire Brother: We will be back in three hours.
The Fire Brothers leave the dining room. Mario and Luigi start picking up the dishes and plates. They put them on the kitchen counter. While they are cleaning the floor, they see the same Fire Brothers. The Fire Brothers seem to be sneaking around and don't want to be spotted.
Mario: What are those guys doing?
Luigi: I don't know. Man, I sure do miss Daisy. Will we ever be together again?
Luigi prays in the dining room, saying that he wants to be reunited with Daisy again.
Mario: Bro, you're starting to get a little whacked. Are you ok?
Luigi: What?! Umm... Never mind what I just did. Let's just get on with this chore.
The Mario Brothers finish cleaning everything in the dining room. There is no mess in any spot of the dining room. They finish cleaning with four minutes to spare so they sit on the chairs. The Fire Brothers come in the dining room, but this time they bring a young lady wearing a pink dress and a crown. The Marios quickly recognize her.
Mario: Princess Peach!
Peach: (in a soft voice) Shhhh! Keep your voice down.
Luigi: (soft voice) Are you ok?
Peach: (soft voice) Yes, I'm fine. These Fire Brothers are to thank. They rescued me out of that mess with Bowser.
First Fire Brother: (soft voice) We want to help you, Mario and Luigi. We never like siding with Bowser, and we never like using our powers to beat up the innocent people.
Second Fire Brother: (soft voice) Bowser forced us to join his army several years ago, and we never liked it, even if the powers of a Fire Brother are nice.
First Fire Brother: So, can we join you?
Mario and Luigi: (soft voice) Yes.
Second Fire Brother: (soft voice) Cool, we'll help you every way we can.
First Fire Brother: (soft voice) Anyway, let us introduce ourselves. My name is Friedet and my friend's name is Frieg.
Frieg: (soft voice) Let's move to another
place, where nobody can hear us.
Chapter 12: The Magic Secret is Out
The Marios, Peach, and the Fire Brothers went to the dungeon. The Fire Brothers said to the Hammer Brothers that they would guard the dungeon for now, sohe Hammer Brothers went off to another room. No one other than our heroes are in the dungeon. The Marios, Peach, and the Fire Brothers are speaking in normal voices.
Peach: Mario, there is a cure to that ray you and Luigi were zapped with.
Mario: There is?
Peach: Yes, it is a magic word that you, Luigi, Kamek, and Kammy have to say at the same time in the same room. After that magic word is spoken, you and Lugi will regain your strength back.
Luigi: Can you tell us the magic word?
Peach: I can't. I am forbidden to tell you.
Mario: Why?
Peach: Kamek and Kammy forced me to drink their forbidden potion, so the magic word cannot be spoken by me. Even if I tried, my mouth would quickly become closed the moment I say the magic word.
Mario: Fire Brothers, do you know the magic word?
Friedet: Nope.
Frieg: Me neither.
Luigi: Then, how are we gonna get out of here?
Frieg: Maybe if you spy on Kamek or Kammy, and eavesdrop, you can find out the magic word.
Friedet: Anyway, we brought lunch for all of you. Here you go.
The Mario Brothers and Peach eat their
lunch. When they finish, the Fire Brothers sends Peach back to her cell,
so everyone will think everything is going as usual.
Chapter 13: The Magic Word is Overheard
The Fire Brothers guides the Marios to the hallway. Kammy's room is beside the hallway. The door to Kammy's room looks like Peach's doors.
Frieg: If you eavesdrop and listen to Kammy while she's talking, she may say the magic word. Make sure that Kammy doesn't think you're eavesdropping. Kammy won't be out of her room for two hours, so you'd better finish and get out of here through that door, before she comes out. We'll be waiting for you behind the door.
Friedet: Now good luck.
The Fire Brothers leave the hallway. The Mario Brothers clean the ceiling and the floor. When they are cleaning the wall, they hear Kammy talking inside her room.
Kammy: I can't wait for Koopa Picture Day, tomorrow. I'm going to look pretty in the picture. Hmm... It's funny what Kamek said about the magic word. I can't believe the magic word is the food that Mario keeps saying when he's a moron. Cheese. Man, I laughed my heart out at that one. Well, time to practice my smile.
In the hallway, where the Marios are...
Mario: CHEESE!
Luigi: (covering Mario's mouth, talking in a soft voice) Keep your voice down!
Kammy: Who's there? Nah, probably Bowser yelling about Peach.
Lugi: Whew. That was close.
Mario: So my favorite food, cheese, is the magic word.
Luigi: I guess so. We have to finish cleaning the walls.
Mario: Okie-dokie.
Mario and Lugi finish cleaning the walls and leave the hallway. They open the door to where the Fire Brothers are standing.
Friedet: That was close. Kammy almost thought that someone was eavesdropping. But you finished before Kammy opened her door.
Frieg: Peach wants to meet you right now.
Luigi: Can you take us there?
Frieg: Sure.
Chapter 13: Peach's Mystery Plan
The Fire Brothers take the Marios to Peach's dungeon cells, where Peach is waiting. The Fire Brothers open the dungeon cells and guide Peach and the Marios to the bathroom. The bathroom is clean, and there is no odor. Mario sighs in relief.
Peach: Mario and Lugi, you know what the magic word is now, don't you?
Lugi: Yes. Why is the magic word cheese?
Peach: I don't know. But here's our plan. Friedet and Frieg told me that tomorrow is Koopa Picture Day, when Koopa take their pictures, and that it takes place inside Bowser's throne room in his castle.
Mario: Yeah, we know that. While we were eavesdropping, and heard Kammy, she mentioned something about Koopa Picture Day.
Lugi: So what's the plan?
Peach: I'll tell you.
Peach whispers in Mario and Luigi's ears. They nod and agreed with the plan.
Lugi: So that's what we do?
Peach: Yes.
Friedet: Oh, and don't worry. We'll make sure that Kamek and Kammy take their picture together.
Frieg: You can count on us.
Chapter 14: Peach's Plan is Revealed
Today is Koopa Picture Day, when Koopas take their pictures. Kamek, Kammy, Bowser, and the Koopalings read the list that tells which Koopas will be taking a picture together.
Bowser: Let's see now. The list said that my kids and I will take a picture together. The list also said that Kamek and that old hag Kammy will take a picture together.
Kamek: Why do I have to be with Kammy in the picture?
Bowser: Well, that's what the list said.
Kammy: Yay! Oh, we're going to have a fun time together, Kamek.
Kamek: Nooo!
Bowser, the Koopalings, Kamek, and Kammy go to the throne room to take their pictures. Bowser and the Koopalings go first. Two strange men, each wearing a blue robe that Magikoopas wear, take the picture.
Strange Men: Say cheese!
Bowser and the Koopalings: Cheese!
The picture is taken, and the camera prints out the photo. The strange men take the picture out and give it to Bowser. The picture is very neat and good.
One of the Strange Men: Here you go. Have a nice day.
Bowser: Man, you guys are really good photographers. I mean, do you know how many photographers on Plit are really good at taking pictures?
The Other Strange Man: Nope.
Bowser: Well, you should. Kids, look at your picture.
Wendy: Hey, that's a nice picture.
Morton: Yeah. It's good, neat, wonderful, nice, great, excellent, the best picture I ever seen and the picture is in color, which is good, nice, great, and where can we get wedding cake, and can we go back to the Mushroom Kingdom and give my speeches to the Toads and...
Ludwig: SHUT UP!
Roy puts a sock in Morton's mouth.
Morton: MMMMMMPPPHHH!
Iggy: Good thing Morton didn't talk while those strange men took the picture.
Larry: Those strange men look familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.
Lemmy: Oh well.
One of the Strange Men: Next.
Kamek and Kammy are next. They face the camera, ready to get their picture taken.
Kamek: I have a bad feeling about this. I had a vision, but it was not clear and understandable. I don't even know what it means. Those strange men look familiar. It seems that we met them before.
Kammy: Oh, don't be such a drag, Kamek. We need to get our picture taken, that way I can see how good I look.
Kamek: All right.
Strange Men: Say cheese!
The strange men, Kamek, and Kammy say "cheese" at the same time. Suddenly, the strange men take off their robes and reveal themselves. They are Mario and Luigi!
Kamek: NOOO!!! WE WERE TRICKED!!! THAT MUST BE WHAT MY VISION WAS TELLING ME THE WHOLE TIME!!! THEY WERE MARIO AND LUIGI THE WHOLE TIME!!! OH NO!!! WE ALL SAID CHEESE AT THE SAME TIME AND IN THE SAME ROOM!!!
A strange light begin to glow around the Marios. The light goes inside the Marios and dark light from the ray comes out, and disappears.
Kammy: HOW COULD THIS BE?! LORD BOWSER, THE STRANGE MEN WERE ACTUALLY THE MARIO BROTHERS!!! LORD BOWSER, THE SPELL IS BROKEN!!!
Mario: Can you not scream, please?
Luigi: Yes, you were all fools. This was Peach's plan all along. Koopa Picture Day was today, so Peach told us to disguise ourselves so no one could regconize us. Peach told some Fire Brothers who don't want to work here to make sure that Kamek and Kammy were photographed together. Then we fooled you into saying cheese, and we all said cheese together.
Mario: And now, we will beat you all, now that we got our strength back.
Bowser: WHAT?! How could be fool like that?! Koopa Klan, GET THEM!
Announcer 1: So that was Peach's plan all along, isn't it?
Announcer 2: I guess it is. I guess Kamek's plan is not as foolproof as we thought.
Announcer 1: And the Fire Brothers were helping the Mario Brothers out all along, too.
Announcer 2: Now, the Mario Brothers have regained their strength and are ready to fight the Koopa Clan.
Announcer 1: Will the Mario Brothers defeat the Koopa Clan? If so, what will the Mario Brothers face next? What will happen to the Mushroom Kingdom? Will Morton get a chance to give his speeches to all of the Miushroomers?
Announcer 2: Uh... Announcer 1, you're speaking unnecessary things again. Anyway, stay tuned.
