When we last left our heroes, they had fallen into a secret warp pipe. They are traveling through the sewers of Kastle Koopa as we speak...
Chapter 3: The Connection?
Mario: If I'm right, this tunnel will lead straight to Bowser's throne room.
Luigi: Let's hope so! EEK! A SPIDER!
Mario dragged Luigi by the feet as he was face-down in sewage water.
Luigi: Yuck! Patooie! Gack!
After minutes of being face-down in gunk, he jumped to his feet.
Luigi: Bleck... Ewwwww.
Mario: Look, Luigi! Another warp pipe!
Sure enough, there was a warp pipe on the ceiling. Mario tried to reach it, but it was too high up. He fell into the water.
Mario: Oof! Mamamia!
Luigi: Hey look! A switch!
Luigi jumped on the switch and the room turned upside down. They both jumped into the warp pipe and soon found themselves in Bowser's throne... toilet.
Mario: Eeeeeeww.
Luigi (underneath Mario): Mphbphbphhh!
Mario jumped out of the toilet and pulled Luigi out. They continued through the castle until they found the throne room. Bowser was yelling at Kamek.
Bowser: WHAAAAAAAAAT?! An evil Mushroom took my place as supreme evil overlord of the Mushroom Kingdom?! PREPOSTEROUS!
Kamek: I'm also afraid that... he took the place as RULER of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Bowser: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! I want him destroyed at once!!!
Kamek: I'm sorry, your royal highness, but he is immortal. There is no way to stop it.
Mario: Wait! We can help!
Bowser: Ha! NO WAY! Not after what happened those other times.
Luigi: This is different! He's captured the Shroobs and turned them into the Doom Shroom's minions!
Bowser: Wait... Did you just say: DOOM SHROOM?
Mario: Yes.
Bowser: How can this be? How could he have been released?!
Luigi: Released?
Bowser: Fine. I'll team up with you. Just to wipe that smug look offa that Mushroom's face! Let's go! We'll take my Koopa Cruiser! Report to the docking bay right now! I'll meet you there!
Bowser ran down the stairs followed by Mario and Luigi. They finally reached the docking bay. Bowser called to them:
Bowser: Get up here! We need to make a quick stop in Star Haven!
Mario and Luigi
boarded the Koopa Cruiser and head to Star Haven.
Chapter 4: Star Haven
After a while of driving through the skies above Plit, they finally found Star Haven. The Koopa Cruiser parked on a cloud and Bowser, Mario, and Luigi left the Cruiser and went into the star temple. There they saw the seven Star Spirits floating onto their pillars.
Eldstar: Ah, Mario! Luigi! Nice to see you here in Star Haven!
Bowser: Eldstar, we need your help.
Eldstar: Bowser?
Bowser: The Doom Shroom has escaped from his 100,000-year prison and is creating mass destruction on Plit.
Eldstar: WHAT? Impossible. I had sealed him in the shadow temple for the past 50 years! How could he have escaped?!
Mario: You've dealt with the Doom Shroom before?
Eldstar: *sigh* Yes. It was a long time ago... All the evil and hatred was unleashed upon Plit ever since the almighty King Morton Sr. arose from his prison. His evil could not be defeated. His evil was so strong, it took on the image of a Mushroom. The Doom Shroom was born. After Morton Sr. became very ill, he told his son, Bowser, that he would take the throne. Morton Sr. died, giving birth to a new and inproved Koopa King.
Bowser: Heh...
Eldstar: ... After the new Koopa King took his father's place, the Doom Shroom became very powerful. Bowser had become more evil than his father, which made the Doom Shroom INVINCIBLE! So us, the Star Spirits, locked him into the Shadow Pyramid for a limit of 100,000 years. Unfortunately, he escaped from his prison, still with another 600 years to go. And now... he is taking his revenge upon the Mushroom Kingdom.
