Chapter 8: Crystal of Strength
Paralee and Albino went to Shooting Star Summit and gave the tiny piece to Eldstar.
“This is fake; the crystals don’t shatter easily, plus this doesn’t hold the right amount of power. Actually it doesn’t hold any. The problem is I’m not sure if Bowser is powerful enough to create duplicates. It could’ve been the work of one of his Magikoopas, but who knows?” he said.
“So where’s is the real one?” Paralee asked.
“It’s underwater by Lavalava island, should be buried and unguarded, since there are now fools crystals able to trick you.”
Paralee thought about this for a moment. “Okay, let’s go, Albino.” They left in search of the real crystal.
Meanwhile, Bowser went to the kitchen and saw one of his servants mopping the floor. “LIONEL!” Bowser demanded.
“Sir!” the young, male Paratroopa shouted
“I want you to get out of the castle and find that Magicparatroopa. She stands about 5’4 and has long black hair and black eyes,” Bowser commanded.
“Yes sir,” said Lionel. Then he flew out to find Paralee.
Meanwhile, Paralee once again dove into the water and dug in the sand until she found a yellow crystal.
“Honestly, there has to be someone guarding this thing...” Paralee thought. She gripped the crystal hard but it didn’t shatter. So Paralee just swam out of the water before anything bad happened.
She and Albino went back to Toad Town. Paralee thought to herself that she should hide the crystals since Bowser’s minions were after her, but her train of thought stopped when she saw a handsome male Paratroopa.
“Oh snap!” Paralee said, quickly looking through her mailbag and pulling out a compact mirror. She took off her helmet to reveal her long, silky, black hair. She put the items in her mailbag and walked up to the Paratroopa.
“Hi,” she said in a flirty tone.
“Hey,” said Lionel. “This is her?” he thought. “She’s too nice and pretty to be captured…”
“So what’s your name?” Paralee asked.
“Lionel.”
“Ooh… Lionel?” Paralee purred. Then she put her hands on the top part of his shell.
“So what’s yours?” Lionel asked quickly.
“Me, well… I’m Paralee. Phew, is it hot in this town or what?”
“I think it’s just you,” he said. Paralee smiled.
Soon Albino started barking wildly at Lionel.
“Albino, what has gotten into you?!” Paralee said.
Albino barked panickedly at Paralee.
“What? Lionel is one of Bowser’s minions?” Paralee asked, confused.
“I was actually sent to capture you, but I don’t want to,” said Lionel.
Paralee smiled. “You don’t look like the type anyway. Hey, why don’t you help me on my adventure?” she said. Albino started to growl. Lionel backed up a bit.
“Actually I don’t think so, your companion doesn’t really like me much. But when you arrive at Bowser’s castle. I can help you there. Wait a minute…” Lionel ducked in his shell and came back out with a map. “Here, it’ll help you find the actual crystals,” he said. Then he flew away.
Paralee continued on her journey, not knowing that Kammy Koopa was watching the whole time. Kammy flew off to tell Bowser the information.
