Prologue
A long time ago, a demon named Shadow Queen was released by the Shadow Sirens. This demon took over Princess Peach’s body to complete her true form. But a hero named Mario and his friends arrived soon enough to stop Shadow Queen’s intentions of chaos. Mario and his friends failed at first, but the Crystal Stars helped the heroes by stopping the demon’s invincibility. Soon, the demon was defeated and sealed in her grave.
But…
In the Palace of Shadows, a mysterious figure comes along. He had forced the Thousand-Year Door open. The mysterious goes up to the grave.
???: Do not worry, my Queen, you will be restored soon.
After he said that, he quickly left. But before he left, he left a sword with words on the blade on the grave. It read:
“Your soul is
eternal, and blood will be sacrificed to restore it.”
The next week, the mysterious figure erny to Creepy Steeple. On his way there, he injured an unknown person. Instead of killing him, he took some of his blood. The mysterious figure continued into Creepy Steeple. He went to the top floor, where there was a book on a chair.
???: Excellent.
He picked up the book and there was a flower in it. He turned to the page where the flower was. He picked up the flower and smiled. But that smile turned into rage. He destroyed the flower by burning it with his own hands. He then read a section of a page. Instead of words, it had weird markings. After he read it, he put the book down and took the person’s blood. He revealed a sword and a wide paper with a strange circle drawn on it. He then revealed three medallions. Words were written on them. The first, “Blood”; the second, “Soul”; and the third, “Eternal”, were dropped in the circle.
???: Revive this mortal and in return, I give my blood and another mortal’s blood.
Then he put the person’s blood in the circle. Then he hit himself with his sword. He was stunned, as he hit himself too hard. He then put some of his blood in the circle. The paper flashed. Then it stopped, and in front of the mysterious figure was…
??: What? What happened? Who are you?
The mysterious figure smiled.
???: Heh… Doopliss. I need your powers.
Doopliss: Heh, never!
The mysterious figure smiled again. Then he tried to strike Doopliss. Doopliss then turned into Mario.
???: Can that be…?
Doopliss punched him, and then struck him with a hammer.
???: Yes that is him…
The mysterious figure, who seemed unharmed, then attacked Doopliss with lasers and blasts that came out of his hands. Doopliss got hit by one but dodged the others.
Doopliss: What? What is this power?
The mysterious figure then hit Doopliss with his sword. He attempted to hit Doopliss with some blasts, but Doopliss dodged them and transformed into a clone of the mysterious figure. Doopliss then copied the mysterious figure’s move. The mysterious figure was hit a lot, but again didn’t seem harmed.
???: Fool.
The mysterious figure then revealed a giant scythe.
Doopliss: Oh &!*&*@@*…
The mysterious figure then struck Doopliss with it. Doopliss turned back into himself and fell to the floor.
Doopliss: Who… are you?
???: My name is Shadow King.
Doopliss: Wait, THE Shadow King?!
Shadow King: Now that I have told you, you must die.
Then Shadow King opened his mouth. A blast killed Doopliss. Shadow King then absorbed Doopliss’s power.
Shadow King: Perfect…
Shadow King smiled
and faded into darkness.
Days later…
In Bowser’s Castle, there was a meeting going on…
Bowser: So… the meeting is commencing. I am depending on you, my loyal servants, to think of a plan.
The only one there was Bowser Jr. and Bowser…
Bowser Jr: How about we use my siblings to help us?
Bowser: No, that’ll never work… I’ve got it! I’ll use the Koopalings! Then you and the Koopalings can work together and kidnap the princess! Brilliant, right?
Bowser Jr: >_<…
Bowser: Koopalings!!!
No one responded.
Bowser: Hm. KOOOOPALLINNNNGGGGSSSSS!!!
This time all the Koopalings came into the room.
Roy: What? What do you want?
Bowser: I want you and Bowser Jr. to work together to capture the princess!
There was a long pause…
Koopalings: HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
They kept laughing.
Bowser: What? Is there toilet paper on my foot or something?
Lemmy: It’s just that *laugh* you *laugh* want us to-
Iggy: Work together with *long laugh* Bowser Jr!
The Koopalings laughed out loud again.
Bowser: Seriously.
Roy: What? You want us to work with… soon to be fat villain?
Bowser: Is that name because of my size?
Roy: … No…
Ludwig: I think we should invade by ourselves and you and Junior can, how you say, have the talk.
Bowser: You’re working with him or you’re grounded!
Koopalings: Okay, okay.
Larry: Hey, at least we get some action!
Morton: Yeah I know right! It’s been years, and years, and years, and months, and months, and-
Roy: SHUT UP!
Wendy: Okay… But first I need to finish my nails.
Bowser Jr. and
the Koopalings except Wendy went to Princess Peach’s Castle. But Bowser
threw Wendy so she had to go too.
Chapter 1: The Invasion
Wendy: AHHHHH!!!
Roy: Shut up!
Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings were in the sky, falling down to Mushroom Kingdom. Unfortunately, they landed in the middle of Toad Town. There they were celebrating Princess Peach’s birthday. Mario and Luigi were guarding.
Toads: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO- AHHHHH!!!
The Toads ran away. Peach, who was on the castle’s balcony, was surprised and mad.
Bowser Jr: Sorry to crash the party!
Lemmy: And this time-
Iggy: The Koopalings are back!
Ludwig: We had been absent so long that we thirsted for crimes! Now we all stand with vengeance in our minds and bodies!
Roy: Yeah, what he said!
Mario and Luigi: The Koopalings!
Mario went after Roy first, planning on taking the toughest Koopaling out first. Mario tried to land some punches on Roy, but Roy dodged them and tackled Mario so hard that he hit a building.
Mario: Mama- *rock falls on his head* -mia…
Luigi: Mario!
Luigi looked over and saw ? Blocks. He hit them and got Fire Flowers.
Luigi: Mario, catch!
Luigi threw one to Mario. Mario caught it and transformed into Fire Mario.
Mario: Thanks, Luigi!
Larry snuck up on Luigi, though, and zapped him with his wand. Luigi hit the ground, but wasn’t out yet.
Luigi: Woah, looks like they’ve been training!
Wendy and Morton tried to zap Mario, but Mario shot a fireball at them. Then Mario Super Jump Punched them. Lemmy and Iggy worked together and took out Mario, but Luigi attacked them with Thunder. Then Mario and Luigi threw fireballs at the Koopalings. Wendy, Morton, Lemmy, and Iggy seemed knocked out.
Ludwig: Heh, looks like it’s up to us… But I’ll finish this!
Ludwig pulled out another wand. It looked different from the others and was labeled “prototype V2”.
Roy: Why use inventions when you can just crush them?
Roy jumped and hit Luigi. He continued to punch Luigi but then got hit by a fireball. Larry attacked Luigi from behind. Roy and Larry proceeded to attack Luigi while Ludwig handled Mario.
Ludwig: Looks like your adventuring days are over, Mario! *evil laugh*
Ludwig attempted to zap Mario with the prototype wand, but it backfired and zapped Ludwig, who then was knocked out.
Mario: Yeah… Work on that, okay?
Suddenly Luigi crashed into Mario. Luigi was knocked out but Mario didn’t lose hope.
Mario: You’ll pay for that!
Mario saw another ? Block and hit it. A Blue Koopa Shell came out. Mario grabbed it and turned into Shell Mario.
Roy: Heh, nobody knows how to be a Koopa better than us!
Mario: Yeah, well if you combine humans and Koopas, you get something better!
Mario did a shell dash and hit Larry. Roy landed on Mario’s shell. Mario kept on dashing and hit objects like building parts and signs. Roy eventually became so dizzy and hurt that he fell. The Koopalings were defeated.
Mario: That was a close one…
Mario looked around. Something was wrong and Mario tried to figure it out… Then a scream was heard.
Peach: MARIO!!!
Bowser Jr. had escaped the fight and grabbed Peach. Peach was tied up, so she couldn’t escape if she had the chance. A Paratroopa came by and dropped a cannon.
Mario: Escaping by cannon, eh?
Mario tried to attack Bowser Jr, but he was so tired that he kept missing him.
Bowser Jr: Hahaha! See you later, Mario!
Bowser Jr. launched himself and Peach from the cannon. They were heading towards Bowser’s Castle.
Mario: Darn…
Mario turned around and saw a nearly destroyed Toad Town. The only thing that was left was the gate to the castle and the castle itself. Mario then spotted the Koopalings, who were still knocked out. Luigi got up after a while.
Luigi: Wha… What happened?
Mario: The Koopalings attacked and were defeated. But Bowser Jr. got away with Peach.
Luigi: Aw man… LOOK!!!
Luigi pointed to a mysterious figure near the castle gate. The figure resembled Shadow King, except with a different shape.
???: Hahaha…
Mario: Who… are y-
Before Mario could finish, the figure attacked the Brothers and was able to knock them out quickly.
???: … Mission complete, Master.
The figure then headed toward Bowser’s Castle.
Meanwhile, Bowser Jr. was near Bowser’s Castle. But he looked down at the Mushroom Kingdom and thought of his siblings. He had a change of heart and decided to go back to rescue them. But then the figure came and attacked him.
Bowser Jr: Ahh!
The figure landed punches on Bowser Jr. Bowser Jr. was injured already. He accidently dropped Peach. The figure picked up Peach and headed toward the castle. Bowser Jr, who was falling back down to Toad Town, stared at the figure.
Bowser Jr: M…Mario?
Bowser Jr. then landed in Toad Town. He looked around and saw Mario, Luigi, and the Koopalings knocked out. Bowser Jr. tried to move, but was too injured.
Bowser Jr: No… That can’t be Mario.
Bowser Jr. looked over and saw a shadow. It wasn’t his, and nothing was around the shadow. The shadow advanced toward Bowser Jr. and went into his body.
Bowser Jr: AHHH!!!
Bowser Jr. then fainted. The shadow turned into a dark doppelganger of Bowser Jr.
Bowser Jr. Doppelganger: Hehehehe…
Back at Bowser’s Castle, which was by now destroyed, Bowser had been defeated by Shadow King, a doppelganger of Mario, and other doppelgangers that resembled Goombas, Koopas, and others.
Bowser: I can’t believe… I lost… to Mario… again!
The Mario doppelganger waved his fingers, as in saying no.
Shadow King: Mario? Heh heh, you should think again.
A shadow went into Bowser’s body. The shadow turned into a doppelganger of Bowser.
Bowser: What… are you…?
Shadow King: Yes… With all these shadows and doppelgangers, I will revive my queen! With some royal blood, of course…
Shadow King looks over to Peach.
Peach: What are you going to do to me?
Shadow King: Patience. You were a sacrifice once before. This time, it’ll be permanent, and no one will stop it!
Peach: Mario will stop you!
Bowser: And that green guy too!
Shadow King: Oh yes… that reminds me. Shadows, take over Toad Town!
The shadows headed for Toad Town. Soon it was covered in darkness. Shadow King used his power and attacked Bowser with thunder. Bowser was blasted flies away, as the Koopalings and Mario Bros. also were blasted, each in different directions. Shadow King then laughed and moved the castle up into the skies so that he could see Toad Town, Princess Peach’s Castle, and the areas surrounding them getting covered in darkness…
