Mario is walking by Bowser’s Castle with Yoshi for no apparent reason, when Mario hears something cry out.
??? : Hee hee elp elp.
Mario: Did you hear that?
Yoshi: Sounded like little kid.
Mario: Those evil Koopas! I bet that kid is terrified out of his mind!
Both of them run to Bowser’s Castle, hoping to find the source of the voice.
Meanwhile, Ludwig is packing his suitcase and sees Mario enter the castle.
Ludwig: Ug! First I have to hide from Bowser for the rest of my life, and now Mario invades? Iggy, do something!
Iggy: I’m sleeping.
Ludwig: How can you be sleeping when you’re talking?
Iggy: Uh, I’m sleep-talking.
Ludwig kicks Iggy out the window, and he lands on Yoshi.
Iggy: Ow.
Yoshi: Why you land on me?
Iggy: Because Ludwig kicked me out the window.
Yoshi: Your grammar bad.
Iggy: Yours is worse!
Mario: Never mind that, send your victim out and we will let you live!
Iggy: WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!
Yoshi: Little kid we heard from inside castle.
Iggy: Oh, you mean Billy? He’s Ludwig’s son.
Mario and Yoshi start laughing hysterically.
Mario: Ludwig? A father? What a load of garbage!
Ludwig: It’s true!
Ludwig is sticking his head out the window, and then he recoils.
Mario: Anyway, if you won’t cooperate, I’ll take you by force!
Iggy: Come on! You know I can’t win!
Yoshi: Exactly the point.
Iggy runs into the castle and yells for Larry and Kamek to come quick. Suddenly the three of them appear outside the castle.
Kamek: You made a mistake coming here! We may have caused you trouble in the past, but I can assure you that this time we are telling the truth.
Mario: Ha! You expect me to believe that?
Kamek: Uh, maybe?
Larry: …
Mario: Yoshi, come! We ambush the castle!
Yoshi: Ok!
Kamek: Stop! In the name of the law!
Yoshi: You not the law.
Kamek: So?
Yoshi headbutts Kamek and he faints. Larry pulls out his magic wand and immediately traps Mario and Yoshi with a magic spell.
Larry: Look, even though I have attacked you many times before, I have nothing but respect for you. But in these circumstances, I must ask you to leave.
Mario: Why do you care so much about this prisoner you’re keeping captive as to make an unbelievable story to make us leave? How could Ludwig have a son? It’s ludicrous!
Billy: Hee hee ha ha.
Mario looks up and sees Billy’s head sticking out the window.
Yoshi: It’s a Yoshi! I knew you the great liar!
Larry: Please, can you just be nice enough to leave us in peace?
Mario: No.
Mario throws a boomerang at Larry and he gets knocked out. On the way back it hits Iggy.
Iggy: Ouch!
With Larry’s spell broken, Mario and Yoshi run into the castle, with Iggy trying to keep up. The duo eventually lose Iggy and continue on their way. Then they meet up with Bowser.
Bowser: Why are you here?
Mario: I think you know why.
Bowser: Oh yeah, here’s the spare key to your house.
Mario: Since when did you have the spare key to my house?
Bowser: Since three years ago. Wait, if that’s not the reason, why are you here?
Mario: I’ve come to rescue a prisoner from your castle.
Bowser: ?
Yoshi: Koopas so stupid.
Mario: The little Yoshi? About a week old?
Bowser: (This could be my big opportunity.)
Mario: Answer me!
Bowser: Oh yeah, he’s in Ludwig’s room. Get him AS FAR AWAY from here as possible, understand?
Mario: Uh, okay.
Mario and Yoshi run into Ludwig’s room, with Bowser laughing to himself.
Bowser: Ha! Thank goodness for little miracles. Now I don’t have to execute Ludwig, Larry, Iggy, and Karma tomorrow, as much as I hate Karma.
In Ludwig’s room, Mario and Ludwig are arguing.
Ludwig: He’s my son! His name is Billy!
Mario: Not according to Bowser.
Ludwig: What?
Mario: Bowser said he was a prisoner, and that we should take him as far away as possible from here.
Ludwig: He just wants you to think that.
Mario: ?
Ludwig: Seriously, I’m telling you the truth. I even have a wife.
Mario: Ha! Who could love you?
Ludwig suddenly stops talking and just stares.
Yoshi: Me think you offend him. Where washroom?
Ludwig: Oh, uh, two doors to the right.
Yoshi leaves the room, unknowingly (to Ludwig) taking Billy with him.
Ludwig: You know, you don’t have to say rude things to people. That comment really cut me deep.
Mario: I didn’t even know you had feelings.
Ludwig: …
Yoshi: Now!
Yoshi is standing outside the castle, yelling to Mario through the window.
Mario: Okay!
Mario jumps out the window, and lands beside Yoshi.
Mario: That was a good idea, Yoshi.
Yoshi: Works every time.
Mario and Yoshi run away, and in a few minutes they are out of sight. Iggy then walks into Ludwig’s room.
Iggy: Now what?
Ludwig: We die.
Iggy: Because of sadness?
Ludwig: No. Because of Karma’s wrath.
Iggy: She’ll be that mad, huh?
Ludwig: Probably. But her anger might be dulled for the moment, with her Koopa-Litus and whatnot.
Iggy: ?
Ludwig: Only Koopa Hybrids get it, apparently. It sometimes happens a few days after having a child.
Iggy: Great. That’s exactly what happened.
Ludwig: I know.
Iggy: What does it do?
Ludwig: It damages your immune system.
Iggy: How is Karma at the moment?
Ludwig: Fine, for now. But it may get worse, or fatal, if we don’t find the sacred Koopa Elixir.
Iggy: ?
Ludwig: It’s a special elixir that can cure any disease. And what do you know; it’s in Peach’s castle.
Iggy: So we can get Billy back and get the Elixir at the same time?
Ludwig: Sounds about right.
Kamek warps into the room.
Kamek: Karma would like to see you, Ludwig.
Ludwig: Ok.
Kamek warps Ludwig and Iggy into Karma’s room, and then Kamek leaves. Larry is already in the room.
Ludwig: Uh, hi.
Karma: This story Larry told, is it true?
Ludwig: Yes, I’m so sorry.
Karma: So you ARE cheating on me!
Ludwig: WHAT?
Karma: Ha ha. Just joking.
Larry: You should have seen the look on your face, Ludwig!
Ludwig rolls his eyes, and then tells Karma the whole story.
Karma: I can’t believe this. I thought Mario was the good guy!
Iggy: Obviously not.
Ludwig: Well, I guess we’ll go get him. And I’ll be sure to get the elixir.
Karma: Thanks, and good luck!
Ludwig, Larry, and Iggy now journey off in search for Billy and the Elixir. But unfortunately for them, Bowser was listening in on the conversation.
Bowser: Get the Elixir? Find Billy? Not if I can help it!
Bowser calls Lemmy, Morton, and Roy and starts to give instructions.
Bowser: You must make sure that Ludwig, Larry, and Iggy don’t find Billy. And you MUST prevent them from getting the Koopa Elixir!
All but Bowser: Yes, sir!
Lemmy, Morton, and Roy run off after Ludwig, Iggy, and Larry.
