Prologue
It was a normal day in the Mushroom Kingdom, and the Mario Brothers were talking about the past.
"Hey Luigi-a, remember the first time we faced Bowser?"
Luigi thought about it a little. "Yeah, those were the good old days, when beating Bowser simply meant passing him and cutting the bridge with an axe."
"Yeah!" said Mario. "I can't believe they made a video game of that."
"Do you still have it?" Luigi asked.
"Of-a course! It's behind my prized limited edition signed Kirby poster!" Mario took off the poster, revealing a NES in working condition.
"a-Mario! We have mail!" Mario took the letter and read it.
"Mario Brothers, you have been invited to the classic Mario gaming contest!"
They got there as fast as they could, and when they got there they saw millions of fans. "Wow Mario, I didn't know we had this many fans!"
A shadowy figure in a black robe approached them. "The rules are simple, you must beat five classic Mario games starting at SMB1 and ending at Super Mario 64."
Luigi looked at Mario. "We're great at those games, Mario. We will win for sure!"
The shadowy figure faced them. "Then let the games begin!"
Suddenly a portal opened up and the Mario Bros. were sucked in. "Luigi! We’re a going in to our own games!"
Luigi wondered who the shadowy figure
was and saw a bright red ruby crown popping out of his robe. "Oh no! It's
King...” Then they were suddenly gone.
Chapter 1: SMB1, Part 1
Mario and Luigi woke up and found themselves in their first game. Although something was different.
"Mario! We're-a in the past!" They knew what to do. They stomped every Goomba, kicked every Koopa, and made it to the first flagpole.
"Wow a, that was easy!" Mario stated. They then made their way through the underground cavern and past the giant Mushrooms. Then they made it to the first castle.
"Your time is up-a, Bowser! But I can't remember the weird thing about you…"
"Wait-a, Mario!" Luigi pulled two Fire Flowers out of his pocket and they burned Bowser up.
"Oh yeah, this one’s just a Goomba!"
"Look-a Mario! The portal home!" They
jumped in and made their way to the Mushroom Kingdom. Or so they thought…
Chapter 2: The Boo Kingdom
When they got back everything seemed different. The sky was dark, the citizens were slaves, and there was a giant statue of King Boo.
"Master Mario and Luigi, if you don't work King Boo will be mad!" Toadsworth said to them
"What-a happened here?" Mario asked
"After King Boo forced the princess to hand over the Mushroom Kingdom, he made us all slaves," Toadsworth said sadly. This was a terrible site, everybody had to make monuments and statues and were whipped if they didn't. Even kids had to do such work.
"Oh no! We only beat the fake Bowser, so King Boo defeated the real one, took Peach, and forced her to hand over the kingdom. We have to go back in time and stop this!" But the only portal was in King Boo's castle!
