Toadette: Welcome to Plit’s first ever Power Contest! Our judges are: Nurse Rosalina, Professor Frankly, and Merlon! Phase 1 of the Contest has the contestants test their Fusemon’s power. If they’re strong enough, they’ll move on to Phase 2! Our first contestant is… Iggy Koopa!
Iggy: Aw, crud.
Susan: Good luck!
Iggy: (whispering) I know I just caught you but you’re my best chance at winning. (normal) Go, Hammerboy!
Toadette: Iggy lets out a Hammerhita! Excellent choice!
Three scarecrows rise from the ground.
Iggy: All right, use Hammer Spin!
Hammerboy spins, letting out a hammer storm that obliberates the scarecrows.
Merlon: That was fast! Bring the metal scarecrow!
Iggy: Cheetahs! Hammerboy, use Club!
BASH! The scarecrow is severely dented.
Iggy: Now use Shell Barrage!
BOOM!
Rosalina, Frankly, Merlon and Toadette: WOAH! You definitely qualify!
Iggy: Yay!

Toadette: You all did very well. The qualifiers are… Iggy, Bowyer, Kamella, and Nick!
IGGY VS BOWYER
Iggy: Go, Lil’Bombdude!
Bowyer: You I choose, Aerosmith! IT DANG! Aerodactyl! CRUD! Aeromite! Good, right I said it.
Susan: His speech problem is worse than I thought.
Iggy flips out his Fusedex.
Fusedex: Aeromite, Magnetarrow Fusemon. Steel-Flying-type. Fusion of Aero and Magnemite. This nearly blind Fusemon tracks its opponents with magnetic waves.
Iggy: Use Bomb Ring!
Bowyer: With Magne-Shield counter!
Lil’Bombdude quickly scuttles away.
Bowyer: Attract!
Iggy: NO!
Bowyer: THAT kind of Attract not. Worse it is!
Lil’Bombdude is suddenly pulled towards Aeromite, who rams him hard.
Iggy: Bomb Fang!
Clang! Boom!
Bowyer: Ouch! Hurt that must have. But in the battle I’m still! Magnewhirl!
Aeromite spins, pulling Lil’Bombdude towards him and hurting him.
Iggy: Da Microbomb NOW!
BOOM!
Toadette: That must’ve hurt! Bowyer, you’re out!
Bowyer: Fair not!
Merlon: You used your opponent’s abilities against him!
Rosalina: You have talent!
Frankly: Very well done.
Toadette: It looks that Kamella and Nick are done, too! Nick won! Iggy, Nick, on to the arena!
IGGY VS NICK: FIGHT TO THE FINISH
Iggy: Go, Hydroshell!
Nick: You will lose, Cousin! Go, Tryclekans!
IF: Tryclekans, Snake Fusemon. Fire-Poison-type. Fusion of Tryclyde and Ekans. Two words: WATCH OUT!
Iggy: Use Water Propeller!
Hydroshell rams into Tryclekans, who tries to torch him. The roasted Koopuirtle leaps back.
Nick: Fire Wrap!
Tryclekans draws closer and wraps Hydroshell. Suddenly, water spurts from Hydroshell, soaking Tryclekans. The two Fusemon attack, fire and water colliding until they are very tired.
Iggy: Shell Bomb!
Nick: Lunge!
A puff of smoke clouds the arena. When it clears, both Fusemon are struggling to stand up. Hydroshell does it, Tryclekans… doesn’t.
Toadette: Nick, you’re out! The winner is… Iggy! Have your trophy!
Judges: You deserve it!
Iggy: Yay!
Mario and Susan: Good job!
Team Fusers then head out to continue their adventure.
