Chapter 6: The Smithy Gang Strikes Back
When our heroes suffered from nightmares, they went to the Beanbean Kingdom because the map showed their next direction. Yoshi joined their group while traveling. Unfortunately, they were blasted away by a blue shell. They did, however, reach Stardust fields and crossed the border to the Beanbean Kingdom. Fawful and Morton attacked the town but were defeated by Mario and Co. Afterwards they reached Woohoo Hooniversity, where they met a Luma who informed Mario and Co. about Rosalina. Mario and Co. went to Joke's End, where they had to split up. Each of them found a piece of a blue star. They didn't know what it is at first, but a girl named Elizabeth, who was the guardian of the Sacred Stars, told them it was the pieces of the blue Sacred Star. After uniting the pieces together, Mario and Co. went to Cackletta's castle. To their surprise, Rosalina was then possessed by the Shadow Queen. Dealing with Shadow Rosalina wasn't easy, but Mario and Co. took her down. A Luma told Mario if he harmed Rosalina any further, she would die. With the Sacred Stars, Mario and Co. separated Rosalina from the Shadow Queen. Then Cackletta fused herself with the Shadow Queen and nearly killed our heroes, had not the Sacred Stars healed Mario and his allies. After that Mario and Co. eliminated the Shadow Queen and Cackletta. Later, Mario and Co. went back to Mario's Pad after taking Rosalina and the Luma home. Who were those figures at Bowser's castle working for? Who has the Dark Mecha Angel pieces? Will there be any more mysteries in the adventure?
At Mario's Pad...
Mario: Hm, I wonder what is going on... I don't know why the voice told me Bowser is not behind this... I don't know what or who has the Dark Mecha Angel pieces... I don't know who the Star Agent is... There may be some other secrets in this adventure...
Luigi: Hey Bro, what are you talking about?
Mario: There may be some secrets behind the adventure...
Koops: You sound worried...
Mario: It's Bowser... If he does anything to Peach, I will bring him down.
At Bowser's castle...
Peach: Hm, it feels cold in here.
Peach sat against a rock. The rock moved a bit.
Peach: ?
Peach moved the rock out of the way, revealing a passageway.
Peach: Woah, it feels cold...
Peach crawled through the tunnel. As she progressed, the tunnel got colder and colder. Suddenly, she fell into a lab.
Peach: Is... this part of Bowser's castle?
Peach looked around. She saw various tools that didn't have Bowser's logo on it. In addition, there was a box on a table. There was a computer that had a message on it. It said:
Death to Mario. Death to the Mushroom Kingdom. Death to the Koopa Kingdom. Death to all who oppose us! All hail-
The message was cut off by a blur.
Peach: This is NOT part of Bowser's castle... Whose lab is this? Who would be planning to destroy the Koopa Kingdom? What's in the box?
Peach opened up the box on the table. What she saw inside were electronics and pieces of metal. They were colored gray, red, purple, and black. There was a note. It said:
Dark Mecha Angel pieces
Peach: ?
Peach felt chills down her back, for this was not part of Bowser's castle and this lab looked dangerous, as if someone was using this lab for a plot, a diabolical plot...
Peach: When will Mario save me?
Meanwhile, in Bowser's throne...
Bowser: I can't take it...
Kamek: What?
Bowser: Mario... He is taking away the Sacred Stars and the Princesses of Heart... I can't take it... He is destroying our allies, ruining our plans, beating up my children, and I just can't take it... If I hear he takes one more of the Princesses or Sacred Stars, I will kill him...
Back with Peach, she heard voices. She saw a ladder to get back up. She climbed up as the voices got closer. She was back in the passageway and closed it with the rock after she was back in her cell. Meanwhile in the lab...
???: Someone has been into this lab.

???3: I am not sure.
Back to Mario and Co...
Yoshi: Where do we go next?
Mario: ...
Luigi: Huh?

Mario: Here we go.
Mario grabbed the book and opened it up. It lifted away and flipped to the map. There a light, purple this time, shined on a dark castle. There was a large sword on the top of the castle.
Mario: (Smithy... I just need to defeat him and then, I will settle the score with Bowser.)
Kirby: Piyo.
Koops: Now we must defeat Smithy.
Mario walked outside with a Shroom Shake in his hand, and the others followed him.
Mario: We need to go to a portal found on Star Summit.
Rosemary felt something under her feet.
Rosemary: Wait, do you feel something on the ground?
Luigi: You're right.
Mario: It must be coming from Rose Town. Let's-a go!
Mario and Co. went to Rose Way. What they found was that people were paralyzed by the Aeros coming out of nowhere. There were also Pounders and Shysters.
Luigi: ?
Koops and Rosemary: ???
Mario: Again…?!
???: This is the end for you!
Mario turned to see a bouncing knife-like figure with a smaller red figure on the top. It was...
Mario: You again... Mack!
Mack: Well, look who's here! You think you are bouncier than I am?
Mario: Mack, you, your boss, and his-a boss, Bowser, are villainous, but I would have never thought of you trying to paralyze and slaughter innocents...
Luigi: We can't let you takeover the world.
Mack: Try me.
Koops: You can't!!!
Kirby: Piyo!
Mario: I am getting sick of this... If you, Bowser, Smithy, or anyone of the gang or Koopa Troop hurt any of your remaining Princesses or destroy or abuse your Sacred Stars, I will kill all of you...

Luigi slammed the shell hard. After he kicked Koops's shell, there were now two shells visible. In addition, both shells had a green flame around them. Then...

Mack: YYYYYAAARRRGHHHH! Shysters! Help me out!
A large group of Shysters stopped terrorizing the civilians and went after Mario and Co. A Shyster tried to hit Mario, but was knocked away by a kick to the face. Two Shysters assaulted Koops. Luigi and Yoshi tried to block off the Shysters, but there were too many, allowing them to strike Rosemary. Rosemary used her laser scope to burn the Shysters. A Pounder tried to hit Rosemary, but to no avail because of her armor. Shortly after, Mario jumped on the Pounder. Kirby swallowed a Shyster and became Shyster Kirby. He bounced on Mack's head many times, before Mack bounced into the air to get Kirby off. Then, he slammed into all of the party.
Mario: Ice Spiral!
Jump... WhooshwhooshwhooshWHOOSH... POW! Chink!
Mack: Urrrrgghhhhhhh! My weakness!
Mario: You're weak to ice? Attack him with ice attacks!
Koops: Ice Shell!
Whooshwhooshwhirl... POW! Chink!
Mack: Suuunnngghhh!
Rosemary: Ice Scope!
ZAAAAPPPP! Chink!
Mack: WWWWWWAAAAYYYYGGGHHHH!
Kirby: Piyo!
Kirby grabbed an ice panel, and now wore a headdress of ice. He shot ice crystals at Mack. Yoshi grabbed a blue watermelon, ate it, and spat ice on Mack, worsening his problem.
Mack: AAAAHHHHHHH! STOP! MEGA BOUNCE!
Boing...
Mario: Wait-a, what did he do?
Luigi: I dunno.
Koops: Huh?
Kirby: Piyo?
Yoshi: Mack went high up...
Rosemary: I don't think he's coming back-

Mack was about to jump on Mario and Co, then Mario and Rosemary combined their beams, one being Mario's fire beam, the other Rosemary's electric beam. Although Mario's beam didn't do anything, Rosemary's beam proved effective against Mack.

A split second later, the blue Sacred Star flew out of Mario's pocket. It was giving him a new move, "Ice Storm".
Mack: THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!
Mario: This is it... ICE STORM!
Whoosh... CHINKCHINKCHINKCHINK! SLAM! SHATTER! CRACK! Sprinkle sprinkle.
Mack: ...
Yoshi: Yoshi think Mack is down and out.

The Shysters ran, or actually, bounced off into the forest.
Luigi: We got rid of the Shysters...
Koops: What about the Aeros?
Mario: Wait, Aeros...
Koops and Luigi: ???

Yoshi and Rosemary: ...?
Mario: ?! Bowyer... He's doing this...
Luigi: Where is he?
Mario: He is in-a Rose Town.

Later, Mario and Co. went to Rose Town. There they found citizens being paralyzed by the Aeros. Here Mario also saw...

Bowyer: Nyah! Mario, are you not? Ordered by Smithy and Bowser I need to kill you.
Luigi and Rosemary: What the?!
Koops: He talks weird.

Bowyer sent out some Aeros to attack Mario and Co. While the others managed to dodge the Aeros, Luigi and Kirby were hard-hit by them. This resulted in paralysis.

Mario jumped on Luigi as he started falling, Luigi pushing so hard that Mario went high into the sky. Like before, Luigi jumped into Rosemary's now enlarged laser scope. Yoshi hid inside an egg and he and Koops spiraled around Bowyer, confusing him. Kirby, still using his Shyster copy ability, bounced to the same height as Mario.
Bowyer: Ahhhhh!
Mario: Here...
Luigi: Are you ready?
Mario: We...
Kirby: Piyo...
Koops: Mario and Kirby are coming down...
Rosemary: Wait for it...
Mario: GO!
BLLLLAMMMMMO! Mario and Kirby bounced hard off of Bowyer. Adding to that, Koops and Yoshi rammed into Bowyer as well as Luigi being launched from Rosemary's laser scope.

Mario: Well, since you are one of the heroes that-a was chosen to avert Bowser's plan, you can join.

Mario, Luigi, Koops, Kirby, Yoshi, Rosemary, and the newly added Geno, now all seven of the heroes chosen to stop the crisis, walked out of Rose Town. Again, Bowser Jr. saw that Bowyer was defeated.
Bowser Jr: Papa, Bowyer is dead.
Bowser: Again?! Larry must stop them.
Bowser Jr: I wonder what is taking him so long...
Bowser: Make sure Larry stops them.
Bowser Jr: Roger.
Back with Mario and Co...
Mario: Well, do any of you know Geno?
Everyone except Mario and Geno: ???
Mario: Ok... Since all of you don't know him, I will tell you about him. I met him during the Smithy crisis. Well, it started when I was in Rose Town. I was in a hotel because of that Bowyer freak launching arrows. These arrows can paralyze people. So, many didn't leave their homes. During that time, Rose Town was besieged by the Smithy Gang. Inside-a the hotel, a boy named Gaz was playing with several dolls of me, Peach, and Bowser. He was recreating one of my adventures. Gaz's mother, who was the innkeeper, asked me to play with him. I agreeed, and later on, Gaz was pretending to be me and I was pretending to be Bowser. During that pretend battle, the doll of me lost to the Bowser doll, so Gaz brought out his new doll, the Geno doll, to challenge the Bowser doll. There was one problem. He played a little too rough. What he did was, while playing, Gaz activated the Geno doll's "Super Star Shot". What happened after that was instead of hitting the Bowser doll, the blast was aimed right at me. Subsequently, I was knocked out by this. That was not good. Later, it was nighttime. That is where the star agent comes in. When it saw the four dolls on the floor, it decided to inhabit the Geno doll. Geno later admitted that he chose this doll because it looked like it was the strongest of the four. Gaz saw that his Geno doll was walking into the Forest Maze. He got a time out for telling a lie to his mother. Of-a course, he wasn't telling a lie. However, I believed him. I later entered the woods to find the Geno doll. I caught up with him afterwards. He had entered the maze to-a challenge Bowyer, the arrow-firing fiend. I, along with Mallow, decided to help Geno to defeat Bowyer, and we succeeded. We took the Star Piece from Bowyer. After Smithy was destroyed, Geno left the doll. There is a fact you should know. Geno's real name is unpronounceable. So, many called him Geno after the doll.
Luigi: Woah...
Koops: Let's get going.
Kirby: Piyo.
While walking, they saw a Pounder. When he saw Mario and Co...

Mario grabbed the purple Sacred Star.
Luigi: Let's move on.
Yoshi: What's that?
Yoshi pointed at a small castle up ahead. It was rather small, as it only held one room.
Mario: Let's go in.
Mario and Co walked through a door that led inside the castle. What they saw were several Piranha Plants in the room. Then...
???: No way you guys are going any further!
Suddenly a Koopa came down from the ceiling. It was...
Mario: ! LARRY!
Larry: If you want to get to Smithy, you will have to get past me first!
Luigi: Not again...
Larry grabbed his wand and suddenly, he aimed his wand at a Piranha Plant. This resulted in Larry fusing with the Piranha Plant.
Koops: Oh no...
Larry: Ice Needle!
Mario: Fire Spiral!
Larry launched an icicle an Mario, but Mario melted it with the spiral that he was making. Then Mario slammed into Larry hard.

Mario and Co. left the castle. Bowser Jr. saw this.
Bowser Jr: Larry is down.
Bowser: !!! That does it...
Bowser Jr: What?
Bowser: All seven of them are down! Come back to the castle.
Bowser Jr: Roger.
Meanwhile at Bowser's Castle, Peach was in her cell. She pushed the rock a little bit to hear the voices.
Peach: ?
???: All that I know is that someone went into this lab.
???2: If someone is planning to steal the pieces, this would ruin our plan.
???3: Who's planning to steal the pieces?
???: It couldn't be Mario.
???2: Yeah, he's not even here yet.
???: Anyway, we need to kidnap her.
???3: Who?
???: You know who I am talking about.
Peach: Oh no...
???: You know?
Peach closed the passageway with the rock.
Peach: It's... It's...
After walking a long way, Mario and Co. finally reached Smithy's Factory.
Mario: Well this is it.
Mario jumped into a warp pipe nearby and the others followed suit. Mario and Co. found themselves inside the Factory after jumping out of the warp pipe.
Mario: Okay. We-a need to defeat Smithy and get the princess
Luigi: What do we do?
Mario: I already told you. We need to get the princess and defeat Smithy. That is all.
Luigi: Oh.
Koops: Let's go.
Yoshi: Ok.
???: You seven are dead!
Mario turned to see a Shyster.
Mario: Fireball!
Fling! Bam!
Shyster: ...
Kirby: Piyo.
As Mario and Co. faced traps such as fire spreaders, gas holes, lasers, spike balls, crushers, and shredders, Mario ran into something.
Mario: What's this?
It was a note. It read:
When the maiden you love goes under enemy control by the Dark Mecha Angel pieces, when all hope is gone, use your power and love with the Sacred Stars to bring her back.
Mario: Hm.
Mario placed the note into his pocket. After facing many traps, Mario and Co. finally reached Smithy's room.
Mario: This is it.
Mario and Co. went down into Smithy's room.
Smithy: What?! How did you...

Cherryblossum pulled out a hammer, a shell, a pair of shoes, a hand, a miniature sword, a cannon, and an egg. Mario and Co. took all of the items.
Mario: Hm, the first several are more powerful versions of the Gold Items.
Cherryblossum: Yes. As for the last two: Yoshi, you can throw Platinum Eggs, which are more powerful than regular eggs. Geno, you can do a more powerful version of Geno Blast. Oh, and Mario? You can do a new move known as the Twister Kick.
