By Mario Koopa
Hello there. It’s me, Mario Koopa. I was reading my Email the other day and discovered an email from Lemmy Koopa regarding feedback from a tourist on my Fun Fiction Pokemon Mario and Luigi. The tourist requested, as all tourists who’ve given me feedback in the past have, for me to continue the story. It was at that time that I realized that my stories here on Lemmy’s Land are still being read. I realized that people are waiting for the Koopalings to get back home from the future. They’re waiting for Mario and Luigi to leave the lab and explore Sinnoh. They’re waiting for Mario, Luigi, Iggy, and Lemmy to stop the Rabbids’ invasion…
But I, unfortunately, haven’t been able to continue those stories. Now, let me explain myself. Let me explain why those stories haven’t continued.
Future Fix (FF) was actually started in summer of 2006. I was dying to make another series after Super Mario Moonlight did so well. During the time of writing this series, I teamed of with Paperlemmy to write “The Adventures of Fat Peach”, and so I was split between two series that both needed equal attention. I managed to do this, but for some reason, most likely my personal life, I stopped writing Future Fix after Fat Peach ended. I eventually got up to part 7 in 2007, but then FF grinded to a halt.
I got an idea in 2007 of a story about Mario and Luigi exploring Sinnoh, and turned this into the whole 2 parts of Pokemon Mario and Luigi. And yes, I am ashamed to say 2 parts. I believe this was also an effort to get back into writing Lemmy’s Land stories, but looking back, if that was the case, why didn’t I just continue FF? Needless to say, this attempt didn’t work. And now I found myself with two unfinished stories, so…
I decided to start another one. Mario and the Rabbids. I got this idea after playing Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 in 2008. Yes, this was another attempt at getting back into writing Lemmy’s Land stories, and let’s face it, both attempts failed and I should have just continued Future Fix while I had the time to do it. But I didn’t, and I apologize.
So, now we’re here in 2009,
and FF is still left unfinished, as well as PMaL and MatR. Now, here’s
what I need to tell you. I just don’t have the time to write a big finish
for FF or to write more parts for the other stories. I just don’t. But,
I intend to finish all of them right now, in this Email I’ve sent to Lemmy.
I’m going to finish the stories in the order they started. I’m going to
tell you what my vision for these stories was, but may never be anymore.
In Future Fix, we left the Koopalings after they’d defeated King Bowser, the adult Bowser Jr. Then, in the story not written, King Bowser’s son took off in the time machine. Knowing where Bowser Junior’s future son was going, the Koopalings had to go and fight their father in the future. Sgt. Darkbones appeared and assisted the Koopalings.
The Koopalings discovered a war going on between the resistance of the Mushroom Kingdom and the army of Lord Bowser. The Koopalings began attacking the Mushroom Kingdom’s army, and when a ceasefire was called, they went with the Koopas into their base. Inside they explained their situation to Darkbones, who got them into Lord Bowser’s castle.
Once they went through the castle, they discovered their dad’s future self. Bowser had died in a fight with Mario 10 years before, and Ludwig and Bowser Jr. had brought him back to life, stronger even. Junior had used his paintbrush to make a heart that would beat inside his father forever and keep him strong, even granting him immortality. Ludwig had created robotic arms for his dad because he had lost them in the fight. Then, Bowser returned to Mario and nearly killed him, but Mario had pleaded for mercy. Bowser had laughed at his defeated opponent and his Koopa Troops took Mario and Luigi away. Bowser had even kidnapped Princess Peach, but after 2 years with Bowser, having finally realized that Mario would never escape from the dungeon and save her, she died of a broken heart.
So, Bowser, in a rage, had destroyed the Mushroom Kingdom, even though it was now his. He gave a castle to all of his children and stayed inside his throne room for the rest of his days. Bowser focused the same rage that destroyed the Mushroom Kingdom on his siblings since they had taken everyone else he held dear, leaving him only his grandson. But the Koopalings from the past, after a long battle they almost didn’t win, finally killed Bowser by destroying Junior’s paintbrush.
Bowser’s heart stopped beating and he collapsed to the floor. Without the magic of the paintbrush being alive in the world, his heart couldn’t beat. The Koopalings left the future and went back home; the last image they would see was Junior’s future son mourning the loss of his grandfather.
After returning home, the Koopalings decided to destroy the time machine. They did so, and left the events of the future behind them because they couldn’t bear the guilt of killing their own father.
10 years later after they
destroyed the time machine, Bowser died in a fight with Mario. The Koopalings
mourned the loss of their beloved “King Dad” but knew that they couldn’t
bring him back to life. It was better that Mario be responsible for their
dad’s death than that they be responsible. Thus, the events of the story
were erased. At least they thought so, but 10 years after that, Larry got
a knock at the door of his castle, and upon opening it, he found 8 Koopalings
standing at the door…
In Pokemon Mario and Luigi, Mario and his brother went through the events of Diamond and Pearl and discovered Dialga and Palkia together. Mario caught Palkia and Luigi caught Dialga.
Now that the two legendaries had to obey them, Mario and Luigi told Dialga and Palkia to send them back to their world. Dialga used Roar of Time and Palkia used Spacial Rend. Mario and Luigi jumped into the rip in space and found themselves in their world again. Then, the sound of Dialga’s roar is heard, and they watch and the world around them goes back in time.
They saw Lucas and Tom run backwards into Kastle Koopa. They saw a Pokeball nearby open up and out of it came Bowser. They saw the Koopalings run backwards out of the castle holding Lucas and Tom hostage. They saw the Koopalings run backwards to the castle holding weapons. Then they blinked their eyes and found themselves inside Ludwig’s lab, as the Koopalings were frozen in time. Mario and Luigi saw on the screen everything about Ludwig about to zap their house to the Pokemon world. Now it all made sense! Mario and Luigi destroyed the computer with their hammers. Then Dialga’s roar got louder and another rip in space appeared behind them. They jumped into it and found themselves back in their house at the very beginning of the story. Dialga’s roar stopped. They stepped outside and were delighted to find themselves back in their own world.
Then Luigi feels something
inside his pocket moving. He feels around for what it is and takes out
a Pokeball! And out of that Pokeball comes his Staraptor, which never liked
him all that much, even when it was a Starly. And as Luigi is chased away
by his own Pokemon, Mario laughs his head off.
Lastly comes Mario and the Rabbids. Mario and Luigi formed an army of Toads and Lemmy and Iggy formed an army of Koopas. Despite their differences, the two teams joined forces and combated the Rabbid threat, even going against bosses from Raving Rabbids 2. And in one of the Rabbid spacesubs, Peach (reluctantly) sang for the Rabbids. One of the times when the spacesub landed, the Rabbids hadn’t locked the door of her cell, and she escaped.
In a last-ditch effort to
defeat the Rabbids, Mario and Lemmy’s armies attacked all of the Rabbids’
spacesubs as they landed. The Rabbids retreated, deciding it was not worth
it to conquer a world if the inhabitants are fighting back. Mario and Luigi
shouted for the Rabbids to release Peach, but Peach came up behind them
and said, “Boo!” Mario and Luigi screamed and turned around. The three
friends hugged and watched the Rabbids leave. As for Bowser and his kids,
that were captured, but they were so annoying that the Rabbids dropped
them out of the cargo hold. They landed inside their castle. Lemmy and
Iggy were extremely happy to have their siblings and dad back and hugged
them all one at a time.
So… that’s it. That is how all the stories were supposed to end. I must apologize to all my readers for not continuing these stories and for biting off more than I could chew. I also apologize to Lemmy for not viewing his site as what it’s supposed to be. Lemmy’s Land is a website where people can enjoy funny stories and comics and other things, where they can enjoy the silliness of Mario’s world. It’s not a website where you can get your stories published so you can have 15 minutes of fame. I viewed Lemmy’s Land as the latter, and I kept trying to stay famous and satisfy readers of my stories. I now realize that I can’t. I’ve got a life to lead, and I can’t continue any series. It is for that reason I apologize to you, Reader.
I’m Mario Koopa, and this is the end of all the stories.
