The Koopaling 2000

By Yoshiki

Ludwig Von Koopa was sitting in his room with his inventions, feeling extremely bored. "I haven't been able to come up with anything to invent all day," he muttered. "And my siblings are just too boring for me to play with. I wish I knew someone as smart as me, or maybe someone who liked the things I did..."

Suddenly Ludwig got an idea. "I know! Why don't I invent a robotic Koopaling that I can program myself?! I can make it just as smart as I am, and it can like the same things as I do! What a stroke of genius!"

Ludwig rushed to his tool box, grabbed a few tools, and started building right away. After a week and a half of constant building, ripping apart, and frustration, Ludwig's invention was done. "Ah, at last my creation is complete! Hahahahaha… Oops, wrong movie. I mean, finally my invention is done! Now to program it to my liking!"

Ludwig immediately started pondering the Koopaling's personality and which gender to chose. "Hmmm... well, maybe I should make this Koopaling rather nice, or wise King Dad might make me destroy the invention if it bothered my siblings. And maybe I should make it of the female species, so Wendy won't get all the attention anymore."

He then started programming the robot just the way he wanted it. "This is gonna be great!" he shouted. He then chose a navy blue shell color, and added hair and a bow to his invention. "Ok, now for a name. Hmmmm... how about... erm... maybe I'll use that randomizer machine of mind to determine a name."

Ludwig walked up to his machine and typed in "Girls names". The machine then searched through all the girls' names available. It stopped on the name "Sarah".

"Ok then," said Ludwig. "Sarah Koopa it is." He walked over to his new invention and flicked the switch on.

5 minutes later...

Ludwig led his new robot over to King Dad. "Where are we heading?" questioned Sarah.

"We're going to go see King Dad," replied Ludwig. They found King Dad in the T-V room, where he was watching a soap opera. "King Dad, I have come here to present to you my latest creation."

King Dad turned away from the T-V. "Ok, but make it quick, my show's back on in 30 seconds."

Ludwig shuddered and said, "Meet my latest creation, Sarah Koopa!" Sarah stepped forward and shook hands with King Dad.

"Hello," she said.

"Hmmm, nice robot," said King dad "But what does it do?"

"I've programmed her to be just as smart as I am, so we can have conversations without her going 'what's that mean?' or 'I don't understand you'. I have also programmed her to be nicer than I am, so she won't pester my siblings and have to be thrown out."

"That's very nice Ludw- Ack! My show started 10 seconds ago!"

Sarah stepped up and said, "Why is it so bad that your show only started 10 seconds ago?"

King Dad whined and said, "Now I'll never know what happened!"

"When what happened?" questioned Ludwig.

"What happened 10 seconds ago!!!"

The two Koopalings sighed and went back to Ludwig's room.

Ludwig decided that he would try and find his other siblings and show off his new invention. "Now who
should see it first?" he pondered. "Roy? Naw, he'd just break it. Wendy? Nope, she'd probably have a
tantrum. Better wait... Hmmm... Lemmy and Iggy? Well, that's the best option I have at the moment..."

Ludwig walked up the stairs, with his robot following close behind him. He spotted Roy chasing Larry, Morton practicing his grammer, and Wendy screaming about something before barging into the twin's room.
"AHHH!" the twins gasped. "W... w... what do you want?" they stuttered.

Ludwig sighed. "I don't want anything! Just to show you my... new... creati-- ACK!" Lemmy and
Iggy eyed their older sibling with a questionable look. "My robot just ran off!" Luwig whined.
Ludwig dashed into the hallway, but diddn't see his creation anywhere. He sped into the TV room, but only
saw Bowser sobbing about missing the ten seconds of his show. Suddenly, Ludwig spotted his creation through a window. "Ah, there you are Sar--"

Ludwig froze. His creation was playing a game with the Marios, the Yoshis, Peach, and Toad. "AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" screamed the robot's creator.

The yelp echoed through the castle. Mario's head suddenly perked up. "Hey, isn't that the Koopaling whose inventions miserably fail everytime?" the plumber asked.

Ludwig felt like he was going to burst. "Why you little!!!!" He mumbled. "I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT THE KOOPALING YOU'RE PLAYING WITH RIGHT NOW IS ONE OF MY GENIOUS INVENTIONS!"

The group below stared at each other for a brief moment, then burst out laughing.

Ludwig grabbed his hair and tugged at it. "I've created a monster!" he exclaimed. "That was one of my rare inventions that didn't blow up in my face! But King Dad is going to blow it up anyway when he sees this!"

Meanwhile, Lemmy and Iggy were right behind their older brother, giggling to themselves. "What a laugh!" whispered Iggy. Lemmy silently nodded.

"Hey, I better get back to the castle," Ludwig faintly heard Sarah call. He poked his head out of the window,
but he didn't see anyone there. "Hiya!" a voice called out from behind him.

"AHH!" Ludwig bumped his head against the top of the window in shock, and slowly turned around, clutching his brused head. Sarah was standing there, waving.

"What's up?" she asked.

"An area of about two inches by one inch on my head, that's what!" Ludwig snapped.

"Sorry!" Sarah smiled warmly.

"Anyway, what do you usually do at this time of day?" the newcomer questioned.

"Well, I usually practice my 'Ode to Annoy' on the piano."

Ludwig stepped up to a Grand Koopa Piano, took a seat, and started playing the most horrible music anyone had ever heard.

"Yipe! That's worse then claws on a chalk board!" Sarah yelled over all the noise. "Let me try!"

The robotic Koopaling shoved Ludwig to the side and started playing the most beautiful music anyone had ever heard. "Boy, she's good!" thought Ludwig. "Maybe too good...."

Suddenly, a loud voice boomed through the castle. "Outside, everyone!" Bowser yelled. "We're launching an attack on the Marios!"

Ludwig looked pleased, and grabbed Sarah's arm. "Come on! Maybe with an extra pair of hands around we can finally beat those menacing plumbers!"

Sarah was dragged outside, and after a while the Koopas and the Marios were engaged in a raging battle. But after a while, the Marios had managed to plunder all of the Koopas exept Ludwig's little invention. The robot was holding a pink wand Ludwig had given her just in case, and had trapped them in a corner.

"Finish them off!" some one shouted.

Sarah raised her wand, but suddenly... "No, I don't want too..."

Everyone gasped. "WHAT?" Bowser roared.

"Those two haven't done anything wrong to me, so I don't see the point..." The robot put the wand down, and just sat there.

"But King Dad!" Ludwig whined. "That was one of the rare inventions that didn't blow up in my face!"

Bowser gave a disgruntled snort. "Your stupid little robot had the chance to destroy those pesky plumbers
and refused!" Bowser had announced that Ludwig would get thrown in the dungeon for a week and that the robot would be destroyed. Bowser also was going to have the guards watch over the robot's parts so Ludwig didn't try rebuilding it again.

However, just before she was going to be torn apart, Sarah went over to Ludwig and gave him a handy piece of advice. "Just put your claw in the lock, twist it a few times, and *click*, your outta here!"

Later the parts were thrown away, and the guards placed. However, later that night...

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"She did save our lives, come on!"

"Alright... Well, let's hop to it!"

And later that night, after he had picked the lock, when Ludwig went back to his room, he got quite a shock. Sitting smugly on his bed was his robot, all assembled again. Ludwig ran over to it and noticed a note nearby.

'Thanks again for your help. If it wasn't for your robot we don't know what mess we'd of gotten into! Signed, MM & LM'

Ludwig just stood there, and after a while he flicked the on switch on his creation. He also got an idea.
"Hmm... what if I made a robot duplicate of Moi? Twice as many chocolate raids!" But then he thought better
of it. "No, maybe I'll leave this one for now. A robot will lead to too much trouble..."

"So Ludwig, what are we going to do tomorrow night?" asked Sarah.

"Try to take over the- Oh, forgett about it!" muttered Ludwig, still happy to have his robot in working order. He thought now that he had another super intelligent companion that things would get a lot more interesting.
