Part 04
The group couldn’t remember where they last saw The King. In fact, none of them remembered seeing The King while they were in the Power Star chamber.
Peach: That awful Fake Queen took him, I know it.
Daisy: Should we check the throne room?
Peach: Yeah, why not? And everyone, I think for our safety we should stick together. If we all stay together the Fake Queen will be outnumbered and we will be able to find her true identity then.
Goombella: I think that’s a great idea.
The rest agreed, and they all went to the throne room. When they arrived at the door, they found a picture of a Winchester Rifle.
Toadette: Why... why does she leave all these pictures of deadly things?
Daisy: To scare us. Isn’t it obvious?
The group entered, and it was clear that King Toadstool had been abducted. The only thing left was a vandalized throne room. On the ceiling, a few strange sentences were written in the Ancient Birdo Language.

Peach: Birdo, can you tell me what it says?
Birdo: Umm.....
Goombella: Yes? Can you remember?
Birdo: I didn’t learn much... but I learned enough to know what that means. Many Birdo villains from old stories say that phrase. “Resistance is futile. You cannot win. Give up!”
Peach: It’s too bad the Fake Queen is suffering from a lack of confidence.
Toad: What?
Peach: I was being sarcastic. She thinks she can beat us so easily! Once we get the st-
Peach paused.
Goombella: What is it?
Peach: The Stars! I forgot! That chamber only holds 100. We have 20 hidden in a secret path! Come on, we have to hurry!
Peach ran off and the rest of the group followed. They went into the lobby and Peach lifted up a tile at the edge of the room.
Peach: Everyone, go down quick.
First Yoshi went in, then Birdo, then Toad and Toadette, then Goombella, then Daisy, and after that Peach followed, putting the tile back in place behind her. After going down into the secret hallway, Peach took the lead again. The hall turned right, then left, then when straight for a long stretch, then left, right, and they appeared at a door. Peach entered a code and the door opened... and a small crawlspace appeared. Peach had everyone go ahead of her again, and they reached a small, tiled room. When Peach got in the room she grabbed something from her ankle. It was an anklet with three stars on it. She took it to the center of the room and held it up. A gold light began to shine in the room and up from the floor rose the twenty Power Stars.
Peach: I can’t believe I forgot about this. This room is top-secret, and only three people can make the Stars come out. I don’t know who they are, but the other people who can make the Stars appear are the ones who owns the star necklace and the star bracelet. I hold the star anklet.
Daisy: So only you and two other unknown people can access this?
Peach: Yup. Now c’mon guys, let’s take these and get back to the lobby.
After going back through the maze of a security chamber, the group ended up in the lobby again. When they did, Peach checked the clock. It was 12:15.
Yoshi: What’s wrong, Peach?
Peach: That witch hasn’t attacked in over an hour. I’m starting to wonder if she’s finally done.
Daisy: I doubt it.
Everyone was shocked at how fast Daisy replied.
Daisy: Think about it, didn’t she say we’d ALL suffer? And besides, why stop while she’s ahead?
Toadette: I guess that’s understandable...
Toad: Do any of you wanna know what I wanna know?
Peach: What’s that?
Toad: Are we sure that the people who disappeared are really gone?
Toadette: Of course they’re gone. They’re not gonna just pop up and say “SURPRISE! It was a joke!”
Everyone looked at Toadette in an odd way. Suddenly Birdo broke the silence.
Birdo: Hey... does the room seem hazy to anyone else?
Everyone in the group had thought that to themselves until Birdo asked the question out loud. The room was filling up with a light haze and had an odd odor as well.
Peach: What’s happening here?
Suddenly Peach felt like she’d been hit in the back of the head with something heavy. She lost consciousness before she hit the floor...
Peach slowly opened her eyes and noticed the haze and the odor were both gone. She got off the ground and saw Goombella, Birdo, and Toad laying on the ground... and beyond them, painted on the ground... were orange silhouettes of Daisy, Toadette, and Yoshi... and beyond that... stood the Fake Queen... smirking...
