Queen Toadstool

Part 01

Most people would agree that parties are fun, right? Yes, we all like parties, and we are happy when our friends invite us to them. However, I have a tale to tell about one party. One party, that none of the people that were there will ever forget. I now tell you the tale, of the one fateful day, when Queen Toadstool’s spirit appeared...

Princess Peach was busy planning a party. She was planning on inviting 10 of her friends to spend the night at the castle.

Peach: Let’s see, I have Mario, Luigi, Toad, Toadette, Daisy, Birdo, Yoshi, Vivian, Parakarry, and Goombella. Looks good!

Peach hastily delivered the invitations. She was so excited for her party that she couldn’t stand it. That was two weeks before the party. However, one week before the party, something unexpected happened. A spirit that looked like her mother appeared one morning when she woke up.

Queen Toadstool: The party is a mistake.

Peach: Wh-what?

Queen Toadstool: If you don’t cancel it you’ll be horribly sorry.

Queen Toadstool’s spirit suddenly burst into a series of white stars that faded while flying around the room

Peach: I wonder what that was about. =/

Before she knew it the day of the party had arrived. Peach hurried out to greet the guests.

Peach: Hello, Mario!

Mario: Hello Peach. How are you today?

Peach: I’m fine. You?

Mario: I’m fine, thanks!

Luigi: Hello, Peach!

Peach: Hi, Luigi!

Toad and Toadette walked in.

Peach: Hello, Toad! Hello, Toadette!

Toad and Toadette: Hi, Peach! Thanks for inviting us!

Peach: No problem!

Birdo and Yoshi walked in.

Peach: Hello!

Birdo and Yoshi: Hey!

The final guests walked in.

Peach: Vivian, Parakarry, and Goombella! Hey!!!

All 3: We’re glad to be here!

The group had tons of fun. They watched movies, played games, and ate a wonderful meal with Toadsworth and King Toadstool. Before they knew it, it was time for them to go to sleep. Peach went into her room and changed into her nightgown.
However, right before she went to bed, she saw something that she thought wasn’t real.

Queen Toadstool: You ignored me. You shall all pay. You and the 12 others in this castle will suffer a horrible fate. There are no longer guards in this castle. They have been locked out by a magic spell. Have fun while you can, dear.

Peach: W-who are you? Answer me!

Queen Toadstool: Why, I am your mother, honey.

Peach: Then why do you want to kill my friends and I?

Queen Toadstool: Because you chose to defy me. Fool.

Peach: My mother would never go to such extremes just because I didn’t listen to her, and she would never call me a fool either.

Queen Toadstool: Well, Miss Sassy Pants, I guess we’ll just see who has the ultimate victory between us. Even though I already know it will be me. Have fun watching everyone close to you disappear forever!

Before Peach could reply, her mother exploded into a series of stars again, and disappeared.

Peach: I can’t BELIEVE that woman!

Peach went to sleep. She had a wonderful dream involving the fun day she, her friends, and her father had. However, she was woken up by a horrible shriek.

Daisy: PEACH!!! PEACH!!! HURRY!!!

Peach sprinted out of her room as fast as she could. When she opened the door to the hall she saw that someone had taken a bucket of red paint and painted all over the walls.

Peach: Who pulled such a prank?! They shall be punished!

Daisy: Peach, look at your door!

Peach closed the door and looked at it, and she couldn’t believe what she saw. There was a skull and cross bones painted on the door, with the words “ALL YOU FOOLS SHALL PERISH HORRIBLY” circling it.

Peach: Wh-what is the meaning of this?

Peach turned toward Daisy.

Peach: HOW COULD YOU PULL SUCH A PRANK?!

Daisy: I didn’t do it!!!

Peach: I-It couldn’t be... Mom?

Daisy: What?! Mom died ten years ago!

Peach: But she came to me last night, and told me that the party was a mistake and that we’d all pay.

Daisy: What in the world are you talking about? I can’t believe you just said that about Mom!

Peach: Ugh... Let’s just go eat breakfast.

So the two went and woke everyone up for breakfast. However 3 people were missing from the table.

Peach: Umm, has anyone seen Toadsworth, Mario, or Parakarry?

Vivian: No, I haven’t.

Daisy: Do you think that their disappearance could be related to the drawing on your door, Peach?

Peach: You know, I think you’re right?

Goombella: What drawing?

Peach and Daisy got up and showed everyone the drawing.

Toadette: How about we all split up and find them?

Peach: Sounds good to me, how about to you guys?

Everyone except Peach and Toadette: YUP!!!

So they split up. Toadette looked in a hall with white sparkles in it. The farther down the hall she went, the more sparkles there were. Eventually she got to the door to the library. She got nervous when she saw what was on the door. There was a picture of a Stanly Knife with the letters “I”, “A”, and “M” around it, all painted with red paint. She fearfully opened the door and walked into the library. Red paint was smeared and splattered all over the books and the walls. She fearfully ventured to the other end of the library...

Toadette: KYAAAA!!!

Everybody rushed in as fast as they could.

Vivian: What is it, Toadette?

Toadette: Look... over there...

Toadette pointed to the floor, which had three items on it. The first item was Toadsworth’s cane, which had the letter “B” engraved in it. The second item was Parakarry’s helmet, which had the letter “E” engraved in it. The third and final item was Mario’s glove, which had the letter “L” ripped into it. Suddenly, all the stars joined together...

Queen Toadstool: I told you this would happen, Peach. Yet, you refused to listen to me. Well, Ms. Smarty Pants, you are getting exactly what you deserve. Have fun watching your life fall apart before you. >:) AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

The Queen disappeared, and left everyone dumbstruck.

Peach: So... it’s... true? We’re all gonna die...? IS THIS ALL I HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO?!
