Phil: Teams discovered they were heading to the beautiful landscape of Cheep Cheep Beach. Airport delays allowed many teams to catch up easily. Once at their destination, teams found a tough decision to be had…
Dixie: Catch 3 or Catch 1?
Phil: Indecision and troublesome targets caused teams grief, and even managed to finally separate long-time allies Dixie & Tiny and Kat & Ana from each other. At the Roadblock, teams got to experience firsthand what it felt like to be a tropical fish. Suffering from a poor Detour choice, Patrick and Norman fell behind even though they felt that they had the home-team advantage. Ultimately they came in last… and were eliminated. Now… 7 teams remain. Who will be eliminated… next?
The opening plays with a new Red X over Patrick & Norman.
Phil: This is Cheep Cheep Beach, a group of small islands connected to each other and a main peninsula by deep sandbars. It’s known for its tropical beauty and wondrous sights. Though one brilliant sight is hidden from view. These, are the mystic underwater caves, which were the fourth Pit Stop, in a race around the world. Teams arrived here for a mandatory rest period…
Foshi: Okay, get me out! Now!
Phil: During the Pit Stop, Foshi’s extreme aquaphobia and the subterranean cave’s affects on his unique body forced him to be evacuated from the resting location in the underwater caves. As a result, all teams will be departing from the Beach Huts… Dixie & Tiny, who were the first to arrive, will depart, at 10:59 PM.

Tiny: *yawn* Okay, make your way, by whatever means possible… to *gasp!* Rainbow Road!!!
Phil: Teams must now head from this modern Mario Kart track…to this classic one: Rainbow Road, a magnificent manifestation of pure stardust and rainbows that floats high above Mushroom City. There are three different ways to get here. The first and fastest way is by teleportation. However, this method is limited. Hidden around Cheep Cheep Beach are three keys. Any team that can manage to find one will be able to teleport directly to Rainbow Road. The second way is by Passenger Bill, a specially equipped Banzai Bill. This is almost as fast as teleportation, but the launch pad is in the next city, and this method is very expensive and limited by hours of operation. The final method is to fly to Mushroom City and then climb Star Road.
Dixie: Ohmigosh! How in the world… or off the world in this case… are we gonna do that?!
Tiny: Says here the three methods… Okay, teleportation is the fastest way, so let’s start looking for a key. If we see two other teams, then we’ll go do something else.
***Dixie: This leg felt ominous for us. Rainbow Road felt extremely far off and exotic to us.
Tiny: Where in the world should we look?
Dixie: The clue says they’re somewhere along the Mario Kart track, and they’re not underwater.
Tiny: Let’s start near the coral!
***Dixie: We’re leaving this leg in first place. That’s the good news. The bad news is we’ve been separated from Kat & Ana. We hope that they can catch up to us.

Phil: A Roadblock is a task that only one person may perform! No person may do more than six Roadblocks on the entire Race! In this Roadblock, teams will get a chance to experience Rainbow Road firsthand. They must hop into a racing kart, and complete seven laps of Rainbow Road. Each lap will take them across a different path: The original tournament, the high 64 tournament, the super tournament, the double dash tournament, the double supers tournament, the international tournament, and finally, the ultra tournament. Once they have completed all seven laps, they will receive their next clue. If teams should fall off the tracks, a team of Lakitus are on hand to rescue them. Teams are permitted to bump carts around, but they may not use weaponry.
