Wario’s Greed Backfires

By Luigi's High Jumpin' Second in Command

One day, Wario was robbing a pyramid. He stole every bit of treasure in there: coins, rubies, emeralds, sapphires, everything. Wario left the pyramid and ran back to his house. Once he entered his house, he headed to his bedroom. In his room, there was a steel-plated door that led to a safe.

Wario entered the code and the door opened up. He entered the safe, and right in front of him was every single bit of treasure he'd ever collected. He emptied out his bag, which had a brown stain, and put it along with the rest of his treasure.

“Wah ha ha ha!” laughed Wario as he’s gloating over his treasure.

Waluigi came in and asked what all the noise was about. He then saw a pile of gold coins and said something wasn’t right. He walked over to the pile of gold coins, pulled out a jeweler’s loop, grabbed a coin from the pile, and inspected it.

“Wario, bad news,” Waluigi said.

“What? I triggered something that will make the universe implode, and then history will repeat itself starting with the age of the dinosaurs?” Wario asked.

“No, this pile of coins is actually play money,” Waluigi said.

Wario gaped at the pile of coins while Waluigi was inspecting the rest of Wario’s treasure.

“Hey, Wario, some of your coins melted!” Waluigi said while pointing to another coin pile. “They’re chocolate!”

“No!!!” Wario screamed. “That explains why there’s a brown stain on my bag!”

Waluigi grabbed a giant diamond and karate chopped it down the middle. The diamond split in half.

“Oh, God! The jewelry you stole is all plastic!” Waluigi added.

“I’ve wasted most of my life trying to steal treasure around the world?” Wario asked.

“Looks like that,” said Waluigi.

Wario started crying loudly. From that day on, he never held money again.
