Lemmy’s Thought of the Day

Here is what I was thinking in December 2008. Don't laugh! I'm sure I had more thoughts than some. Take a look at my thoughts, and Email me your comments!

Monday, December 1, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: To have reached the top is not automatically a cause for celebration.
Comments: Super Goomba: It's Arrested Development.

Tuesday, December 2, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: The road ahead may be more exciting, but the road behind more fun.
Comments: Super Goomba: 'Course, if one would rather the excitement...

Wednesday, December 3, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Mistakes will happen, complaints will happen, complaints may fix the mistakes but that part's not sure.
Comments: Super Goomba: Complaints rarely fix mistakes, not occasionally, rarely.

Thursday, December 4, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Those things you can't use yourself may be the most useful of all.
Comments: Super Goomba: Unless no one can use them for themselves.

Friday, December 5, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Take up the broom and no one will fear you. Dust might.
Comments: Super Goomba: And while you inspire fear in dust, remember to stay away from Ludwig's shrinking ray.

Saturday, December 6, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: You don't increase the height of a tower with bricks taken from the bottom.
Comments: Super Goomba: Isn't that kinda... obvious?

Sunday, December 7, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: It's only a detail until you need to know it.
Comments: Super Goomba: Then it becomes your downfall.

Monday, December 8, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: It's easier to weather a bumpy ride if you're already moving and shaking.
Comments: Super Goomba: Depends on what kind of weathering you are attempting.

Tuesday, December 9, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Sometimes you'll be punished for being right, but it already hurts to choose to be wrong.
Comments: Super Goomba: Solution: get a smaller ego.

Wednesday, December 10, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: It's less important how long you have fun than how often.
Comments: Super Goomba: Personally, I'd rather have one "fun session" take place for numerous hours rather than one half-second "fun session" every five minutes.

Thursday, December 11, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: You don't have to be honest if people say you are.
Comments: Super Goomba: That is, until they learn the truth.

Friday, December 12, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: If you don't want to be a punchbag then don't just hang around.
Comments: Super Goomba: Hang around where?

Saturday, December 13, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Not all questions have an answer worth finding.
Comments: Super Goomba: Questions like "Who stole all cookies from the jar?" perhaps?

Sunday, December 14, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Even the worse can be the winner, but that's not exactly a rally cry.
Comments: Super Goomba: Why draw attention to your... worse...ness... Yeah...

Monday, December 15, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: If you plan for a fight you'll be likely to have one.
Comments: Super Goomba: Depends on why you are preparing.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Once a task is simplied then someone else can do it.
Comments: Super Goomba: But prepare to be called "lazybones".

Wednesday, December 17, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: The earlier you feel the need to start something, the later it's possible to finish.
Comments: Super Goomba: So if you start at 9 AM you finish at 10 PM, but if you start at 10 AM, you'll finish at 9 PM? Yeah, I don't think it works that way...

Thursday, December 18, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Not everyone has to hate what they do. Since they do it, they might actually like it.
Comments: Super Goomba: Quite true, for once in a blue moon. Although, it still depends on the "why".

Friday, December 19, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: The end of a hard day's work should not immediately preceed the start of the next.
Comments: Super Goomba: Solution: Don't work for Bowser.

Saturday, December 20, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: From a select set of beginnings comes a vast array of paths.
Comments: Super Goomba: Let's just hope you can choose the right one.

Sunday, December 21, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Be vague or direct but don't mix the two.
Comments: Super Goomba: That's possible?

Monday, December 22, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Releasing your grip on reality may be the first step to getting a hold on it.
Comments: Super Goomba: Tell that to those in the asylum...

Tuesday, December 23, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: The part that isn't told, if important, will tell itself.
Comments: Super Goomba: Now if only we could make sense of what you just said.

Wednesday, December 24, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: A rock's in a hard place that it's made for itself.
Comments: Super Goomba: I thought YOU were IN BETWEEN the rock and the hard place.

Thursday, December 25, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Those strengths we draw on under stress should be used when we're well too.
Comments: Super Goomba: And what if we can only draw those strengths under stress? We train.

Friday, December 26, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: A scam is just an investment with a different sort of risk.
Comments: Super Goomba: Except the other loses money, etc.

Saturday, December 27, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: The most expensive products may not yield the most dough.
Comments: Super Goomba: How hard it is to make Vs. How useful it is.

Sunday, December 28, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: If you can do it for yourself, someone else might pay you to do it for them.
Comments: Super Goomba: And that is what we call a job.

Monday, December 29, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: As a teacher it may feel most satisfying to succeed, but the results can be most humorous when you fail.
Comments: Super Goomba: That can apply to anyone.

Tuesday, December 30, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: The path ahead can be as smooth as you like, it's still going to hurt to walk on it if you've put rocks in your shoes.
Comments: Super Goomba: Solution: Don't put rocks in your shoes.

Wednesday, December 31, 2008:
Lemmy's Thought: Tradition is usually a synonym for "got old a couple of years ago" unless it involves the ritual drinking of milkshakes.
Comments: Super Goomba: Like you don't have tradition other thyan drinking milkshakes.
