Cap: Mario's regular hat has special powers in this game. When he loses it, he takes double damage.

Carpet: Found in Rainbow Ride, they float in the air and are used as platforms to help Mario through the level. They follow the rainbow paths. If Mario rides on one, then jumps off and waits too long, it will disappear. Found by Hip.

Chest: Found in groups in Jolly Roger Bay and Dire Dire Docks. Opening the chests in the correct order will trigger some sort of event. Found by Hip.

Elevator: Found in Hazy Maze Cave. Stand on it and it will take you to the upper or lower level. Fun! Found by Hip.

Elevator Lift: Found in Bob-omb Battlefield, Whomp's Fortress and the Vanish Cap course. It moves up and down within a small area so Mario can reach the upper level. Fun! Found by Hip.

Express Elevator: Found in Wet Dry World. Stand on it and it will lower down to the bottom, then rise back up. It's essential for reaching the course's fourth Star. Fun! Found by Hip.

Pipe: In Tiny Huge Island they change Mario's size. In my lair they take Mario to me for a pounding. He also arrives at Peach's castle through one, which then disappears. Found by James.

Sign: If Mario were able to read, then he could read these. But since he can't, they're useless, just like he is.

Spinning Platform: A wooden plank in Whomp's Fortress that spins around a loop. It acts as a bridge for Mario to use, but if he's too slow, he'll get pushed off! Fun! It's also found in Wet-Dry World, where the second Star is. Mario has to survive this platform. But he can't! Found by Hip and Mario64.

Wall: Lots, but this one actually leads you to Shifting Sand Land! It's found in the basement of Peach's Castle, just right near the painting for Lethal Lava Land. Found by Bobby.
