Ball: If you jump on the enemy that’s riding the ball, you can ride it. Found by Mr.Nose.
Bomb Pipe: Go in this to turn into Bomb Mario: Only used on the menu. Found by Mr.Nose.
Bonus Bell: These are placed at the end of each level, and if you are able to hit it, you can play a bonus game. Found by Ludwig 222.
Bubble: In the hippo level, these will come out of the hippos. Touch it to get trapped in the bubble so you can float upwards. The bubble will pop when you touch an enemy or hit the water. Found by Ludwig 222.
Clear Block: Found in the file select screen. Hit it to turn Mario into a bomb. Bomb Mario is what erases files! Found by Hip.
Coin: You can collect as many as 999 of these, but you won't receive an extra life when you get 100 in this game. Found by Chris.
Crane: Found in Mario Zone 3, as well as one of the bonus mini-games. They can carry Mario across spikes, and in the mini-game they can pick up an item on the conveyor belt. Found by Ludwig 222.
Drop Lift: If you step on these platforms, they'll drop, so make sure you get off as quickly as you can! Found by Ludwig 222.
Fading Block: These blocks, found in the Pumpkin Zone, will constantly disappear and reappear. You can still step on it when it's invisible. Found by Ludwig 222.
Fire Block: These blocks can only be broken by fireballs. Found by Ludwig 222.
Fire Flower: Turns Mario into Fiery Mario. He not only shoots fireballs, but he sports a feather on his head as well. Found by Hip.
Gear Block: Found in Mario Zone 3. If you step on them, it will go across the lines on the wall so you can get across any spikes on the floor. Found by Ludwig 222.
Gear Platform: These platforms, found in Mario Zone 1, can be horizontal or vertical. The horizontal ones are like conveyor belts, and the vertical ones can drop you off if you stand on them for too long. Found by Ludwig 222.
Golden Coins: At the end of each of the six zones is a boss you must fight. Beat him or her to receive their Golden Coin. Once you've found all six, you can enter Wario's Castle. Found by Hip.
Heart: Gives Mario an extra life. Some Hearts in bonus games have numbers on them, corresponding to the number of lives they give. Found by Hip.
Invisible Block: If your lucky you will hit a invisible block, which will then turn into a visible block you can stand on, In Super Mario Land 2 these do not contain coins. Found by Mr.Nose.
Menu Pipe: Takes you to the map screen of one of the saved games. The number above the pipe represents how many levels you have beaten. Found by Mr.Nose.
Midway Bell: Found in the middle of each level. If you hit it and die in the level, you'll continue where the bell was. Found by Ludwig 222.
Money Bag: Worth 50 coins. Found by Chris.
Mushroom: Turns Mario into Super Mario. I'm sure you all know what he's like. Found by Hip.
Pipe: Takes you to another area. Some pipes have Piranha Plants in them. Found by Hip.
Power Carrot: When touched, turns Mario into Bunny Mario (he just sprouts rabbit ears out his cap). The ears let him float down slowly from a jump by tapping or holding the A button. He also gains the ability to bounce off floors by holding the A button when hitting the ground. Quite simply, Mario will be like someone on a pogo stick. Found by GameQube.
Raise Lift: The opposite of drop lifts. Stepping on these platforms will make them go up. Unfortunately, it is always placed under a spiky ceiling, so get off fast! Found by Ludwig 222.
Starman: Makes Mario invincible for a short time. Found by Hip.
