1-Up Mushroom: Mario gets an extra life.

? Ball: Clears castle after a defeated Boom Boom drops it.\

? Block: Always holds an item.

Anchor: Forces doomships to stay put even if Mario dies.

Block: Smashable. Could contain items.

Candy Ring: Wendy shoots these. Found by crankymama5452.

Card: Mario gets one for clearing a level. When he gets three he gets an extra life. He gets more extra lives if the cards are of the same kind.

Chest: There's three of these in every regular Mushroom House. You get to choose one and keep what' s insiide. Hidden Mushroom Houses have one chest with a rare item. Found by Hip.

Coin: 100 of these gives Mario an extra life. They can appear on the screen, in an item box, or in a speed box.

Directional Lift: Sometimes you can control it by jumping so it goes in different directions. The others go just one direction. After a while they wear of so there! Found by Misty Koopa.

Donut Lift: Heh, if Mario doesn't jump, he falls and dies! Plus there's a bunch in my castle and lots of other hard places. HA! Found by Misty Koopa.

Fire Flower: Turns Super Mario into Fire Mario. He can shoot fireballs.

Frog Suit: Super Mario turns into Frog Mario. He can swim much more easily but he can't slide down slopes.

Frozen Block: Found only in Ice Land, and usually in groups. It has either a coin or a Muncher inside. You need to hit it with a fireball to melt it so Mario can reach the coin, or better yet, the Muncher. Found by Hip.

Giant ? Block: Found throughout Giant Land and bonus rooms. The ones in Giant Land contain regular items, while the ones in bonus rooms contain either three 1-Ups or a Suit. Found by Hip.

Goomba's Shoe: Mario can jump high and stomp enemies that usually can't be stomped.

Hammer: Mario can break rocks on the map to uncover shortcuts and secrets.

Hammer Suit: Turns Super Mario into Hammer Mario. He can throw hammers and defend against some attacks.

Ice Block: This looks like a brick block, but Mario can pick it up and throw it at enemies. Submitted by Jazzman.

Ice Chunk: Small mounds of ice on the Ice land map. They can be broken with a Hammer. Found by crankymama5452.

Jugem's Cloud: Mario can skip one course of his choice (but some can't be skipped).

Keyhole Gate: These are on all maps and only disapear when a fortress is completed. Found by crankymama5452.

Magic Wand: Each Koopaling stole one and will use it against Mario, who needs to recover it.

Magic Whistle: Brings Mario to Warp Zone and allows him to skip worlds. There are three of them, well hidden.

Mini-Boat: Found in Water Land, this alows you to sail from island to island. Found by crankymama5452.

Music Box: Hammer Brothers and Piranha Plants on the map fall asleep for a few turns and let Mario pass.

Note Block: Allows Mario to bounce (but not as controllably as a Mario 1 spring). Could contain items.

P Switch: Coins turn into blocks, and vice versa.

P Wing: Mario can instantly fly and can continue to do so until he is hit by an enemy.

Pink Note Block: this hidden note block will launch Mario into coin Heaven. Submitted by Jazzman.

Pipe: Some of these contain members of the Piranha Plant family. Ones that Mario can enter are Warp Pipes, which can lead almost anywhere. Fun! Found by Hip.

Rail Lift: Can take Mario places by traveling on a rail. Sometimes they're hard to jump on and sometimes there isn't any end! Found by Misty Koopa.

Rock: These are on the maps and can be broken with a Hammer. Found by crankymama5452.

Rotary Lift: If they spin Mario can be spun off. Roy put a lot of these in cloud parts of Sky Land. Found by Misty Koopa.

Silver Coin: This is worth the same as a gold coin, but it only appears when the silver P Switch has been used. Probably just a game glitch. Submitted by Jazzman.

Small Chest: Whenever Mario manages to defeat a Hammer, Boomerang, Fire, or Sledge Brother on the map, a small chest will appear. Touching the chest will give Mario what's inside. They can also be found hidden in a few levels. Getting one there will complete the level as well. Found by Hip.

Spade Panel: If Mario chooses this, he can get Mushrooms, coins, Fire Flowers, Stars, and extra Lives when he plays the memory card game. If he misses twice, GAME OVER!!! Since he's stupid he probably won't find anything! Found by Misty Koopa.

Spade Tile: Here you can play the infamous game where you can match up a picture of a Mushroom for two lives, a Fire Flower for three, or a Starman for five. You only get one try, so don't blow it! Found by Hip.

Star: Mario becomes invincible for a short period of time.

Super Leaf: Turn Super Mario into Raccoon Mario. He can attack with his tail and fly from a running start.

Super Mushroom: Turns Mario into Super Mario. He can break blocks and take an extra hit.

Tanooki Suit: Turns Super Mario into Tanooki (?) Mario. Like Raccoon Mario, but can also turn into a statue for protection.

Tilting Lift: Looks like a Rotary lift, but it always remains stationary until someone stands on it, then it starts to tilt. Fun! Found by Hip.

Vine: Takes Mario to special places.

White Platform: If you crouch on these for a few seconds you will fall behind them and be able to walk behind the scenery. Found by crankymama5452.
