Banana: Throw or drop these obstacles on the track. Whoever hits one spins out. Found by Hip.
Boo: With a Boo, you can steal another player's item, so long as there's an item to steal. Boo will also make you invisible to the other racers for a short time. Found by Hip. If you are not in first, Boo will also bother the leader and make him go slower. Additional info by Bam.
Coin: Collect these to go faster. You'll lose Coins every time you get hit, so watch it! Found by Hip.
Green Shell: Fire these forwards or in reverse. They ricochet off walls and won't stop until they hit another item, a player, or go off the course. Found by Hip.
Item Box: Drive through one of these to receive an item. Found by Hip.
Jump Ramp: Drive over one of these to be propelled in the air. The faster you drive across, the further you'll go. Found by Hip.
Lighting: This flashy item will shrink everyone else for a short time. Use this to your advantage (or disadvantage if someone else used it). Found by Hip.
Mushroom: Use one of these for a quick boost. Found by Hip.
Red Shell: These shells home in on the player in front of you. It might not reach them if they're too far ahead of you. Found by Hip.
Spiny Shell: This shell will go after whoever's in first place and get 'em good! You should try to get out of its way, even if you're not in first, or it'll plow through ya! Found by Hip.
Starman: If you can get a hold of a Starman, you'll be invincible and your speed will increase, but only for a short time. Found by Hip.
Triple Green Shells: Three Green Shells that will protect your kart. You'll lose a shell each time you hit something. They can also be used as regular Green Shells. Found by Hip.
Triple Red Shells: Three Red Shells that will protect your kart. You'll lose a shell each time you hit something. They can also be used as regular Red Shells. Found by Hip.
Zipper: Drive over one of these for a temporary speed boost. Found by Hip.
