Iggy panted, furious, looking up at Kasako. He would save his brother, no matter what the risk. Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Clawdia, Ludwig, Larry, Biribiri X, and Yoshi came behind him. "Looks like you're outnumbered, Kasako." Mario charged a pyro in his hand.

"Maybe outnumbered, but not outmatched." The giant Kitana came over to his hand.

Bowser was the first to attack. He inhaled, then exhaled a barrage of fire at Kasako. He jumped back, and then rushed forward and slashed at Bowser, and he stumbled back. Kasako laughed. Iggy jumped forward, took a deep breath, and then shot a fireball at him, catching him off guard. He stumbled, giving Luigi just enough time to smash him in the snout with his steel mallet. Yoshi took a bean fruit, swallowed it, and shot a neon egg at Kasako. BOOM!!! "AGH!"

Ludwig and Larry shot fireballs at Kasako, and Clawdia slashed at him, clawing into his flesh. Biribiri X shouted "WHIRLWIND SLASH!!!" and it sliced Kasako.

He cursed and spit blood. "You're asking for it..." Kasako raised his sword to the air. Iggy found himself on the ground, unable to move. Kasako grinned insanely. "Goodbye. Fools." He paused, as a shadow fell over him. "What in the world-" Kasako looked up, just in time for Morton, Wendy, and Roy to fall on him, knocking him out.

Iggy got up, followed by his parents and siblings, and the Marios. "I'm glad you beat him but, could YOU PLEASE UNTIE US?!" Lemmy screamed. They forgot what they were doing and quickly untied them.

Iggy was walking along, happy to be reunited with his family. He smiled at Lemmy, and he smiled back. They stopped when they got to camp, and sat down by the fire. "I don't suppose anyone has any marshmallows with them?" Iggy asked.

Yoshi, pulled a small plastic bag out from under his saddle, and grinned. "I always come prepared."

"Well, Sanzan, it appears it is your turn. Kasako has failed." Culex smiled. "I trust you will not fail me? As did he?"

Sanzan bowed. "Master, I shall make you proud."

As Sanzan walked out, Culex grinned. "This should be interesting."

They  were in a sanctuary, a truly wonderful place inside a much more horrible reality. Even though they were in a dimension filled with evil creatures, who knows how far from home,  Mario was enjoying himself. Morton shuddered and whispered to his father, "King Dad? Are we going to escape, get out, elude, fly the coop, flee, disappear?"

Bowser smiled and instead of getting annoyed hugged his child close. "Yes." Then, out of nowhere a dark portal appeared, and Sanzan stepped out of it. "SANZAN! I'VE GOT A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU!" Bowser shouted and leaped at the Terra Cotta.

Sanzan blocked Bowser's Claw with his scythe. He frontflipped over Bowser, landing behind him and grabbing his tail. Ludwig ran forward but Sanzan threw Bowser into Ludwig, knocking him down. Luigi jumped up and shot a bolt of electricity. Sanzan absorbed it with his sythe and shot it back at Luigi, giving him excruciating pain. "AAAAAAGGHH!!!" Luigi fell to the ground panting.

"You fools are completely pathetic. I shant need my sythe to deal with the likes of you!" he said. Moving like quicksilver, he came up to Iggy and delivered a swift backhand, tripped Wendy, and elbowed Roy, causing him to fall on her.

Clawdia breathed fire at Sanzan, but he was unaffected as he was wearing steel armor. He laughed, and punched her in the gut, making her drop to the ground. "Static Discharge!" Biribiri X tried to come from behind with an electric attack, but was thwarted as Sanzan jumped into the air and kneed him in the face.

"I am Sanzan! Follower of Culex!!!" Mario growled and shot into the air. He came down, shooting like a bullet. Sanzan was caught off guard and flew through the air, and landed in a lava pit. His screams were heard as his body deteriorated.

"Bravo," a voice called out. Out of the darkness, Culex came. He laughed evilly. "You fools don't stand a chance. I was hoping to toy with you a little longer, but I think I'll just kill you now."

Mario tried to hit Culex with his fist, but he was sent back to earth with a cloud of darkness that Mario was hit with and sprawled upon the ground. Culex laughed a long, evil laugh and started to mutate into a hideous beast. His head became large and draconic. His arms grew longer and ended in sharp talons. Culex was now a large, three-headed dragon. Fire, ice, and thunder spewed from his mouth. The air was black, and lightning bolts of dark energy rained down from above. Biribiri X was angered. "WHIRLWIND SLASH!!!" Biribiri X tried striking the demon repeatedly, but it did not work. Mario shot a large fireball but it was deflected.

The demon grinned, and the group was fried with electricity. "Do you get it now?" Culex asked. Mario groaned and struggled to get up.

"No. You don't get it. True power... comes from compainionship. People who care about you..." Culex stumbled back as Mario amazingly arose from the rubble. "That is the difference between us. You don't know the meaning of the word. COMPANIONSHIP!!!"

Mario was as startled as Culex to see a golden sword materialize in his hands and glow with a bright light. Mario used this to his advantage. Mario bellowed and drove the sword forward. Culex screamed as he tried to block, but the sword drove through him. He then dissolved. The world around them dissolved until they were back in their own home.

Everything was as it should be. Plit was safe. Bowser and his kids got to go home. Mario and Luigi went home. Everyone else lived happily. And Biribiri X? He found his true friends, and saw the truth in Mario's words...
