Hiya everyone! This is the first game Review written by me, Dane “Bond”. This is Sonic the Hedgehog’s first Nintendo game. That’s right, Sonic is now a nintendo character! The Review for this GBA game is on a 1-5 star scale.
Story: **
Just a basic Sonic story. Eggman (or Dr. Robotnik) wants to take over Earth using the Chaos Emeralds. Seriously, that’s it.
Music: ****
I like the music in this game. There’s a lot of catchy tunes like Casion Paradise Zone Act 1. The Eggman boss battle music is good too. Oh yeah, and the ending sequence music kinda sounds like Sonic’s theme from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle!
Characters: ***
Just Sonic, Miles (Tails), Knuckles, Amy, Robotnik, and a bunch of enemies I don’t know the names of. At least you can pick which character to play as between Sonic, Tails, Amy and Knuckles.
Graphics: ****
I like the grpahics in this game. nice and colorful, although some of the backgrounds are kinda boring like in Hidden base zome. Other that that, the graphics are pretty good.
Difficulty: ****
The game starts out pretty easy, but then gets kinda tough after zone 5, act 1. I even needed my little brother to help me beat Egg Rocket Zone! (It’s amazing how people younger that you can be much better at video games.) And those special stages? Don’t get me stated.
Special Stages: *
Pick up enough rings by the end of the stage to get a Chaos Emerald. That’s it. And they’re really hard too. Plus, the only way to get to them is to find a special spring in a level, and I’ve only found one.
Secrets: **
Get all seven Chaos Emeralds and fight Eggman in his Super Egg machine as Super Sonic. That’s all the secrets in the game. Oh, you can also unlock Sonic 2 mode in which Tails follows Sonic. The problem it, can you control two characters at once?
Overall: ****
This is apretty good game except for some minor setbacks. I’d've given this game a 5 if they had at least put more levels in the game and made the Chaos raising mode a little more complex. But if you want to see Sonic on Nintendo, get this game!
