Graphics: 10
The best SNES graphics I've ever seen. Surpasses any other SNES games graphics! Battles are in a cool perspective that any Mario/Square fan would love! Some graphics might be better than SM64!
Originality: 8
A great idea for a game. Gets me going; the menu systems sorta have Final Fantasy elements in them! The action commands are original, if only FF7 could have an action battle system... I like that they make you do things during attacks.
Story: 9
In the beginning, it kinda throws you off thinking, "Now I have to rescue the princess"... or do you? Quality indeed! Originality intended.
Music: 10
Honestly, once you listen to the music, it sticks in your head! It has Nintendo and Square quality. Best music, probably Nimbus Land! It may help you sleep...
Dialogue: 8
It has humor and sensitivity with great scripting! The Peach's ??? script is funny too! Peach can be mean if you be a peeping tom...
Gameplay: 11
The fun ideas of Nintendo and Square's great plots equals a game that could keep you awake for a while! There is a mini-game you can play on an in-game GBC called Beetle Mania. Tons and tons of fun mini-games.
(A Note From Lemmy: There is indeed an in-game GBC... but at the time of this game's release, there was no C in GB.)
Controls: 9
If you've played FF2 or 3 for SNES you should have the idea. Mario's jump allows great exploration. If you practice the action commands a lot, you should get high damage!
Replay: 7
If you took a break for three days, you could probably get all the sequences in order. It really will make you wanna beat it twice! The game is too fun!
A.I.: 5
Sometimes easy, sometimes cheap, it's average. Smithy is cheap, always turning into a tank or lock. If you're at Level 6 before battling Croco, you should be fine the rest of the game.
Fun Factor!: 12
This game is very fun to play, you should never own a SNES without it! The battle system is original, the action commands are fun, and once you're hooked, you don't wanna stop! It might keep you up all day!
Final Word: Buy the game for $30 at Gamestop. The teamwork of Nintendo and Square is tremendous. If you are a beginning RPG freak, or already one, this automatically goes in your collection of games.
