Story: 8
Luigi goes to a mansion that he won in some contest he never entered. He is supposed to meet Mario, but Mario isn't there. Later, Luigi meets E. Gadd, who gives Luigi the Poltergust 3000. In the mansion, Luigi will be facing a lot of different ghosts.
Music: 9
Mansions don't generally feature a lot of music, but the music here is pretty good, at least for a spooky mansion.
Graphics: 10
Very excellent graphics, especially the Boos. The Boos look better here than anywhere else.
Size: 10
The mansion is huge! Luigi will be covering all the rooms, outside, the attic, and even the roof.
Characters: 9
There are definitely some new characters in the game. I couldn't give a perfect score because the only returning characters are Toad, Luigi, Mario, and the Boos.
Items: 10
Luigi will be finding a lot of items, including money as well as stuff you can interact with. Watch out for Poison Mushrooms.
Difficulty: 7+
This game is not too hard to beat, but it can be hard to get all gold frames, catch all the blue ghosts and gold mice, and not lose any coins.
Controls: 9
The controls in Luigi's Mansion are not too hard, but sometimes you may have trouble catching a ghost. The hardest part is flashing a ghost and then trying to catch it.
Secrets: 4
It's not too hard to find the secrets. Usually you just have to use an element in the right place, like when you water the plants.
Fun Factor!: 7 This game is really fun to play, but gets to be easy. In addition, this is one of the shortest titles for GameCube.
Overall: 8
This game is very good and a fun game to play. I know that know some of you guys may like Super Mario Sunshine better than this, but I think you should get this so you have one of the first games for GameCube.
