Spongebob Squarepants, Battle for Bikini Bottom Review

By Dasina-chan

Konnbawa (good evening)! Watashi Dasina Shirokawa! (I'm Dasina Shirokawa) Sorry, I'm practicing my Japanese. Ok after spending like forever on the GameCube playing a game, I feel like reviewing the game I was playing, Spongebob Squarepants, Battle for Bikini Bottom. I will rate on a 1-4 star scale, 4 being best. This game is on the GameCube, one player, and rated E. Ok, I'll stop wasting time and start the Review.

GRAPHICS: * 1/2

Not at all impressive for the GameCube. This looks like it belongs on the N64! There was one good point about those pitiful graphics, though. In the background, there were some funny pictures, like in Spongebob's house, there was one of him with long red hair and on a clam! But either way, the graphics stunk.

SOUND: **

I liked the action music, and I liked Spongebob, Patrick, Plankton, and Sandy's voices. But the general background music got on my nerves REAL quick, and the other voices were pretty bad. I especially hated Mr. Krabs's voice. That was the WORST imitation of his voice I have EVER heard. Squidward's was too nasal, even for Squidward, and Bubble Buddy? Yuck. Too similar to a tower. Sound was pretty bad.

Difficulty: ****

This isn't a four because it's unbelievably hard, this is a four because it was perfect for people like me who aren't very good at adventures. If you are the kind of person who likes it hard, the difficulty would make you mad because of ease.

Charactars: ****

I liked them all! Then again, this IS Spongebob. I really don't hate any of them, except maybe Bubble Buddy (they were THAT desperate?). But he's just a stupid bubble so he doesn't stop this from getting a FOUR!

Controls: ****

Even easier than Mario Power Tennis! Great great great. A to jump, B, X, and Y to do various attacks. Not much to say, making them easier than they were 30 seconds ago!

Levels: ****

Complex. Very complex. Complex enough so that I like them. And I like puzzles.

Replayability: ****

I could play this game over and over again, which I have been. Hehe. There's hidden stuff, so that you can replay it and do better (or worse) than last time. I think that this game has the best replayability ever.

Fun Factor!: ***

This isn't the most fun game I've played, but it most certainly is entertaining on a boring day. Today, for instance, was real dreary. Not rainy, but I heard thunder. It was real cool (talk about a PLUS for this weather) but everyone in my new neighborhood is mean to me, so I stayed inside. I needed something to do so I played this game. I didn't wanna get off when my mom took me somewhere! This is a great game for fun.

Recommendation: I dont wanna rate, I wanna explain! Ok, so anyway, they were clearly lazy with this one, and I'm afraid it shows way too much, but that didn't stop this from being a great game. You should buy it since it's older, therefore making it cheaper.

Sayanora! (Is a translation REALLY needed?)
