Storyline: 3
Mario and friends are playing baseball because it's apparently all the rage with them when letters fall out of the sky saying Bowser wants to challenge them. Rather then go after Bowser, they play each other and Bowser laughs in the stands. There is NO goodness to that and a 3 is a pity thing.
Character: 10
The average Mario Party characters are here with Toadsworth, Pianta, Noki, Magikoopa, Hammer, Boomerang, and Fire Bros, and a whole lot more. This gets a perfect mark.
Humor: 8
Lots of humor, like Wario calling everyone names and Peach talking about how she would normally invite Mario in for tea. The most hilarious of all is the bats. Some are normal, but there are also sticks, walking sticks, hammers, boomerangs, clubs, wands, bones, shells, and even a tree.
Controls: 10
Couldn't be easier, A swings and pitch, when you hit the ball you automatically run one base, and if you want to move more bases hit Y or X super fast. Hold A to charge for power swings or pitches. The control stick is only usful when fielding.
Modes: 45/60
Challenge: 10
This is the best of the sections. You
run around and challenge enemies.
Toy Field: 5
I have a hard time winning this or
even coming remotely close to it. This is hard to complete and I give it
only 50%.
Options: 0
What was I suposed to do? Give a usless
section a high mark?
Practice: 10
They discribe how to play, how to hit,
run and charge up, in a very detailed way, so its mark is high.
Mini-Games: 10
Very fun, especialy Bob-omb Derby.
Some are easy, some are hard, and some are in between. This as well is
very good.
Multiplayer: 10
This is where you can play a friend,
family member, or those cheating computer players that catch almost every
ball. It still gets a high mark though.
Overall: 75/100, B-
The gameplay is good, and even though it didn't get even an 80 it is still recommended by me to be bought by people. The game is good but not good enough for another one to come out.
