Earthworm Jim Review

By Luigi_Ownz

I love the Earthworm Jim video games, and I found out there is only ONE review on this site! ONE! Anyway, this game is on SNES, Genesis, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Sega CD, and CD-ROM.

Story: 10/10
A mad scientist, namely one with a monkey attached to his head, is finally finished making the supersuit for the evil dictator Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-Filled, Malformed, Slug-For-A-Butt; but klutzy bounty hunter Psycrow drops the suit on delivery, and it starts sailing towards planet Earth.

Meanwhile, on the planet Earth, an earthworm is running away from a hungry crow, but what the worm doesn't know is that the suit Psycrow dropped fell right on top of him, thus creating the greatest hero ever to protect the universe: EARTHWORM JIM!

Characters: 10/10
The main character is Earthworm Jim, the strongest invertebrate of our time. Other good guys include Peter Puppy and Princess What's-Her-Name. Villains include Chuck the Junkyard Owner, Psycrow, Evil The Cat, Bob The Killer Goldfish, Major Mucus, Professor Monkey-For-A-Head, Doc Doudenum, and Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-Filled, Malformed, Slug-For-A-Butt. And let's not forget the falling cows!

Humor: 10/10
This game is pretty funny. Falling cows, angry lawyers, losing your lunch, you name it. I crack up whenever I beat the game when Princess What's-Her-Name gets crushed by a falling cow!

Difficulty: 7/10
Easy mode is pretty simple, and so is Normal (kinda), but Difficult mode is for experts only!

Music: 9/10
The music is really catchy. If you hate to get music stuck in your head, play the game on mute. You'll never get these tunes out of your head... or at least, I won't.

Levels: 8/10
Whether you’re whipping snowmen or avoiding buff kitties, these levels are full of wacky gimmicks and adventure!

Overall: 9.8/10
Earthworm Jim is by far one of my favorite games! A shame Jim's last two games (Meance 2 The Galaxy and 3) couldn't stay as great as the first two. Ah well. If you like a humorous game with senseless violence along the way, this game is well worth a buy!
