Many of you know about the game Yoshi's Island DS, I'm just here to write a Review about it. I will cover most of the basics, like graphics, sound, controls, length, difficulty, and Fun Factor. I hope you have more fun reading this Review than I did writing it! Oh, and I'll give everything a percent, to make it more original.
Story: 79%
Same old stuff,
Baby Luigi is kidnapped and you have to go save him, but with this time,
more babies! Yay! More mouths to listen to! The story involves adult Bowser
and a new plot, but it still seems like everything is the same...
Graphics: 87%
The graphics
were better than some games on the DS, but not all. The graphics were better
than the first Yoshi's Island game, but I'm pretty sure I did see a few
graphical glitches.
Gameplay: 85%
The gameplay
was like most Nintendo games. Once you get a certain amount of points for
each world, you get to play secret levels and minigames galore! The items
you get are the same as SMW2: Yoshi's Island. Once again you are challenged
to complete the level with thirty stars, twenty red coins, and five Flowers.
The babies each have special abilities, like Mario is the lightest and
can hit Mario blocks. Peach can help you glide on winds with her parasol.
DK can climb vines and chains. Wario has a magnet to attract metals, and
Bowser has fire breath. You only get to keep Baby Wario and Baby Bowser
for about five levels each, but they have good abilities while you have
them. You never use the touch screen, which is kind of weird... And the
dual screens just gives you more area to see, sometimes it's just sky though.
Length: 76%
Once you get
to a certain point, the levels get long. Really, really long... They only
had five worlds compared to the first one, which had six. If you think
about it though, it's not that long, just really slow...
Difficulty: 94%
The game was
pretty hard, I had a lot of trouble on some levels in worlds four and five.
The babies just made it harder with they're whining... I'm just glad there's
no health in this game, you should be too!
Sound: 63%
Wow... The music
sounds like I composed it! That explains the F I gave this category. Probably
the most calm baby cry in the game is DK's... The worst is Wario's. Oh,
and all of the music is just remixes of the same tune! It's not the best
music ever, but it was okay.
Controls: 83%
The controls
were pretty simple and easy to learn, I really thought that the controls
were a little bad when you were trying to hurry. There are four settings
for controls, so you can choose which one you would be better off with.
I think that the default controls were the best, but you can choose whichever
one you like.
Fun Factor!: 98%
I had a great
time playing this game. The levels were really fun, and the bosses were
fun to avoid! It did get irritating when I couldn't complete a level or
get something I wanted, but overall, it was a great game.
Overall: 82%
This was one
of the best games I've played so far this year. It has a great replay value
too, with all of the Flowers, red coins, andPublisher: Nintendo Developer:
