Today I will review MK64, one of my favorite racing games. Did it live up to its expectations? This is on a 1-10 scale.

THESE AREN’T EVEN SNES-LEVEL GRAPHICS!

Oh, there is no story category because RACING GAMES DON’T HAVE STORIES!
 
Gameplay: 5
We all know how this works. A to accelerate, B to break/reverse, control stick to move, etc. Items also return! From the Spiny Shell to the Golden Mushroom, you’ll have a blast! This was medium, so I gave it a 5.
 
Levels: 10
Woah! Levels vary from a tropical beach (oh, this is peaceful) to a huge, terrifying, trap-filled castle. (AHHHH! I’D RATHER HAVE THE BEACH!) There is such a variety of levels here, it got a perfect score.
 
Mario-ness: 6
This game hosts 6 playable characters from Super Mario Kart (the one Mario kart I don’t own!), plus DK and Wario. By the way, I have a secret. Instead of DK, a Magikoopa (maybe Kamek) was going to be playable. So what do you figure? Probably a 6.

Music and Sound: 10
DUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDEEE! The sound signifies everything! If you hit a wall, you hear a THUNK! When a shell hits you, you hear your kart getting hit! The Star music tells you to RUUUUUN! And the Luigi Circuit music returns as a Mario Circuit song in Brawl! WITH ALL THIS, THIS IS A PERFECT SCORE!

This is basically the same as Mario Party games. Duh. Doesn’t it figure?
 
Fun Factor!: 8
This is the game that you’ll play for a month, then forget it for 6 years and play it for another month, and so on. But as you play it, it’s FUN! 8!
 
Overall: 7
You might not like this. The overall for this game is hard to describe because it varies from awful scores to great scores. But I do recommend this game.
