This is my favorite N64 game. Is it awesome? This is my eighth Review. It is on a 1-10 scale.
Story: 9
A hand grabs two random fighters and puts them on a desk. These are just dolls. The hand cleans the desk and counts 3, 2, 1 and snaps. The fighters then come alive! It then shows the 8 fighters and lists them (Mario, Yoshi, DK, Pikachu, Fox, Samus, Link, and Kirby) and shows images of them, such as Yoshis and Yoshi eggs, DK kicking Samus's butt, then Samus KOing DK, and Fox in a ship. Then Mario and Kirby look like they are fighting, then jump and rebound off each other, followed by the others. Then the four secret characters show up (Luigi, Ness, Captain Falcon, and Jigglypuff). If you haven't unlocked them, they will be shadows. But if you did, you will see them themselves. Then a circle with an off-center cross (the Super Smash Bros. logo) will show up and move to the corner. Then the title appears as a voice says "SUPER SMASH BROTHERS!"

Choose what you want from the menu. 2-player and the bonuses are pretty good. 1-player is also quite fun. In options, you can see character bios.
