I looked around for reviews for this game and I was surprised to find that they were all negative! Extremely negative. So I decided to share my opinion on the game. Here we go! I will rate the categories on a 1-10 scale, 10 being the best of course.

Story: 9/10

I had very few gripes about the story. If anything, I felt that the unskippable history lessons were annoying at first, but as time went on I came to appreciate them. You see, I purchased this game after only seeing a little gameplay. I had no idea that these were real events or real people but that changed the whole perspective of the story for me. You basically go through history as yourself, the lead character, and as you go along you basically meet new officers and fight in new armies.

Characters: 9.5/10

This was most definitely the game's best department aside from gameplay. Every character is completely original and has special interactions and relationships with your lead character. The only reason I didn't give this a 10 is because I felt like the lead character didn't receive enough attention. The customization is extremely limited regarding your lead character. The appearance is pretty much set in stone with the exception of a few color changes and different armor. Also, the responses are a tad too generic for my tastes. I think they could've done a little more with the lead character to make him more... like the player.

Graphics: 10/10

This gets such a high score for me because I've played a lot of Nintendo DS games, and even Super Street Fighter 4 on the 3DS... this was on an entire new level, not just for Nintendo but for handhelds period! The movies in this game easily had the processing power of any home console. I'm usually not big on graphics, mainly because I think Gameplay trumps graphics when determining the quality of a game... but this moved me spiritually... especially the storm scene.

Sound: 5/10

My reason for giving it such a low score is because they reuse the same DARN SONG FOR TOO MANY SCENES! It becomes irritating very fast. The most fun you're going to have with music is when you start to win... or lose. Flying Swallow, however, has made a permanent imprint in my YouTube favorites.

Gameplay: 10/10

The Gameplay! This is the big part! This game has gameplay that will force you to think! If you don't think you'll easily be defeated. There are positions that you are placed in that require you to edge out of tight spots. That's my favorite part. You have to slash your way through enemy officers, prevent liasons, protect allied officers, defeat enemy commanders, convert enemies to allies, and all of this within a short window of time. One thing that bugged me was when I lost, because you will spend so much time on certain battles losing will make you very upset.

I think what really was amazing about the gameplay was the ability to manipulate up to four characters per battle. Using teamwork and learning history, you were able to pull through and win battles.

Replay Value: 7/10

After you beat the game there isn't much else to do. Through the spotpass feature you will receive new scenarios, and you'll eventually be able to play some battles from different perspectives. Also, if you're like me and went through the game on Easy the first time around, you may want to try to beat every battle on hard. I won't spoil anything, but don't expect TOO big of a reward, perhaps just another challenge for you core gamers.

Fun Factor: 10/10

I really loved this game. And personally, this entire series is a phenomenon to me. Not only are you learning the basic history of an entire era, but you yourself begin to get wrapped in. You feel like you're involved. I personally felt almost as though it was my duty to battle. I enjoyed the game because I felt like I was in history and I had a say in what happened. It truly defined Realism in a game. Not realistic appearance... but realistic feeling.

Multiplayer: 2/10

It uses StreetPass! Imagine that? No Co-op. No Wi-Fi. Just StreetPass! Only gripe!

Overall: 10/10

For any 3DS owner I think this was the best launch title and a must have for everyone! This is a good game for any first time Warriors player. So give it a shot, I'm sure you'd enjoy it! I know I enjoyed it!
